Ep175 A Leeky Canal

Having cruised through Froghall Tunnel aboard Chugabug. It is time to explore the other arm of the canal leading to Leek. So a quick look at the route back to Hazlehurst Junction and then head for another small tunnel at Leek. Which also looks very small

Good to see Nutmeg up close 😊 And I was a bit worried that you’d forgotten how to spell! I was waiting for a field of leeks! …or maybe a torrent of water cascading through a tunnel roof ….not thinking of town names😂

Nice cruise,shame the Caldon is through mostly wooded areas,not much open countryside,but it was pleasurable,was nice to see Nutmeg making an appearance

Thanks. It is a lovely canal. A little enclosed following the Churnet valley, but plenty of birdsong. Nutmeg gets grumpy posing for the camera. She loves to try and peck the camera and gets upset when I stop her. 🤣
