You're a genius, never thought about using this for clouds or even landscape!

Damn I am speechless, that's what I needed because fluid3d with maya texture don't render as I need with arnold. Thanks again you saved me

Excellent tutorial. I was wondering how would you go about animating those clouds if you wanted to?

Thank you. Animating the clouds to move would probably involve animating the place3Dtexture node and the fractal settings in the cloud shader's attributes

@@anthonymartin3336 Thank you! Animating the texture and the ripples worked well for time lapse. I've tried several different way to achieve this result, but they are all very expensive. Your approach seems much cheaper than the time lapse clouds in the content browser, any Bifrost or 3D container simulation, thank you once again.

@@anthonymartin3336 Hey, love your tutorial, I have the same question too, cant find fractal setting. I could connect a fractal noise but not sure where, any thoughts, thank you !

@@albanrigault7410 It's the standard "Clouds" 3D texture that comes with Maya and you should plug it into "density" of the Arnold volume shader
