    Fluids are still surprisingly useful, especially for driving particles as a field. They do not have the render fidelity for high res work, but many effects are simple. As long as motion blur is not required, fluids are great.

    Thank you so much for an easy explanation! I have a question though. What's the difference between managing turbulance from fluidshape1 and managing turbulance by creating one from fields/solvers?

    • @fxmaniac2839
      @fxmaniac2839  Před 2 lety

      Thanks ,I'm glad it was useful, turbulence in fluid shape is built in for the container itself and will only affect the container, and the Fields and solvers is general for the whole scene they can affect as many dynamic objects as u wish it to

    Nice tutorial. I just could not seem to get my letters smoky enough? Any ideas? The smoke just turned into a big clump. I changed the density settings really low which made it more into a mist. Is there anyway to change the individual letter emitters to smaller sizes?

    • @fxmaniac2839
      @fxmaniac2839  Před 3 lety

      Thanks ! You can try to increase the resolution of the simulation to get more finer details , and for the clumpy smoke just use the dynamic settings , like turbulence , wind and noise as mentioned in the tutorial

    Hiya! Two questions, one of which I'm uncertain if you'll be able to answer. I saved a cache but when I imported it, the "A" is filled in and it looks like a triangle. It doesn't appear that way in the scene. So, I just saved the scene with a new name and finished the project that way. Second, and this is a general question. When you do a playblast, how do you hide the various manipulators?

    I've tried to add a fluid to a MASH repro mesh, it does work but it also renders a huge fluid blob in the center of the container? How can I turn this off and only add it to MASH points?

    • @hivetech4903
      @hivetech4903 Před 2 lety

      Fixed it, creating a container creates an emitter by default which was the big fat blob. I had two fluid emitters lol.
