Actually, if someone told me they were talking about the concept of a doughnut, I would laugh so much I might forget about the doughnut entirely. And as an intuitive, I will find more satisfaction in making a silly debate about the concept of a doughnut rather than eating a doughnut, which would make me happy for five minutes and that's it.
By the way, I think that a good way to tell if someone is sensory, is if they talk about what they did on the weekend. Specially if they described how things looked or sounded like. On the other hand, if someone asks me what I did on my weekend, I would go blank for moment forgetting about the details and then I would say bluntly I did "X", then I would go on about what I wanted to accomplish by doing that and why I did it, instead of saying what I did or how I did it.

Lindsay, if someone showed up without a doughnut because they meant the abstract concept of a doughnut I would be happy because there seems to be someone with a mind working as uselessly as mine. I would not be alone any more. I can't count how many times I said yes to a thing because the abstract concept sounded great only to notice that the other person means a concrete thing I didn't actually want.

And then I thought how fascinating it is that people with synethesia have sensory assosoation with other sensory things or sensory associations with abstract things... sensory v intuition
sensory simply recognizes what is out there in the environment. whereas, intuition takes what is sensed/perceived AND puts the pieces of the puzzle together based on logic and experience.
to use a mathematical example (i like math), say we are looking at the equation 2 + 2. sensory will look at 2 + 2, simply say that 2 + 2 IS 2 + 2 and; they will leave it at that. intuition will look at the equation 2 + 2 and, intuition will say that 2 + 2 = 4.
so, again, sensory simply recognizes what is out there in the environment whereas intuition recognizes what is out there AND extrapolates to the next logical step from there.

All words are sounds and those sounds are pulses of sensation that stimulate correlating sensation in others as they feel resonance with the symbolized abstraction that is a thought~intent.
Words are just noise that your blood makes, it just has to construct a whole humanoid body to do so. This is why different blood = different spoken language(the blood itself is language of genetics).
Even among siblings; slight genetic divergence means they have slightly different sense of "meaning" within; individual words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs, chapters, novels, languages as a whole.

As it's on the subjective bounds of "donut", it would really depend on whether you are satisfied with the outcome of recieving the bearclaw. As in, your (at least mental) response would be: "I like this, therefore I accept your definition; thank you," or "this is not satisfactory, please give me the donut I was promised ASAP; until then, I will be formulating ROI-appropriate backup plans to obtain my originally-stated desired outcome in addition to interest in the form of revenge, so you best hurry".

I think atoms are a nice example of sensory vs intuition. They are supposed to be real, -> sensory, at least for a very very very precise measuring device.
But a measuring device is only as clever as the person who developed it. So what that device is measuring is just the developers interpretation of the reality. So at the end atoms only exist for our intuitive functions. As this applies to almost every topic of physics, this is also the reason why most people never really understand it.

A person with auditory to taste synesthesia can tell you what gratitude tastes like when they hear the word. :D

Seems to me the language (English) is not descriptive enough or specific enough to clarify these differences. I once heard another comparison: If sensory is going a, then b, then c, etc all the way to z; then intuition means already knowing this pattern, so one can simply go straight from A to Z.

Doughnuts transcend the difference between sensory and intuitive.
