- Well this one has certainly turned out WAAAY longer than expected but there were just so many items to cover in detail, not that you'll be complaining I think ;)
/ rrcrestoration
So anyway i wont bore you all be describing every detail in this description box but a brief rundown is The engine is rebuilt, the carb is super cleaned, the airbox and exhaust get rebuilt and the frame and plastics get a much needed freshen up so anyway,
so please enjoy and leave a little comment to let me know your thoughts :)

Abandoned Beta Rev-3 270 Revival - Part 2 - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I'm a retired master auto tech and the thing I appreciate about your video's is the fact that you use your torque wrench properly all the time and that you pay attention to all the details when assembling everything. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much Bob that means a lot coming from a fellow professional :)
Just because I never really learned how to properly use a torque wrench, how does someone use a torque wrench improperly? I’ve always just used one to the specifications and I thought it was foll proof but apparently I’m wrong. I’d love to know more.
@@picassomooon same here.
I've been around several shops (even official one) and I've never seen a torque wrench being used. When time is money (and when it's not your car/bike) they always use power tools. Not to mention the difference between Phillips and Pozidriv, hex and torx, plus and normal..
On the other hand... I, an amateur, own 6 different torque wrench (down to 1,5 Nm up to 240) and God only knows how many boxes of bits.
So I can say, with pretty confidence, that most torque wrench users are NOT professional, and that most amateurs know how to properly use said tools.
What torque wrench are you using? Looks expensive 😀

Man everytime I watch your videos I see the preparation, time, and research you put into making videos. You're a freakin animal at restorations.
You're too kind :)
Your full restoration work is simply brilliant but your revival work is on par my friend. Looks simply sweet now . Very nice work
Thank you so much :)
Really enjoyed these longer videos. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do! :)
Your knowledge of mechanics is just amazing...Greetings from Poland
Thank you :)
I have a split length of rod that I slide the ScotchBright into for ''Honing'' bores and you can see the cylinder walls while spinning!
Congratulations! Your video has the best camera positioning, correct silence-periods, perfect torqueing, meticulous attention to detail, clean working environment, passion and dedication to motorcycle-repair, tons and aeons of humour! Congratulations again!! (And now I'm going out to buy a BETA Rev 3-2003 model I just saw in the ads, because of you...hahaha!) Thanks very much, as this video is for meditational purposes also...)
I'm only 4 minutes in and looking forward to seeing how you deal with the mechanical seal. I understand that reassembling these can be rather finicky and requires everything to be nice and straight/parallel otherwise they leak. Edit: This looks to be a bit different than the ones I've seen, without a flat teflon mating surface.
I really love how thorough you are with everything. I suggestion perhaps… could you do a series on the detail stuff? Example…
1. detail cleaning, chemical vs. hone vs. ultrasonic.
2. A deep dive into fiberglassing or body repair. what to use and when.
3. Explain electro plating. Setup, benefits and so on.
Just a few suggestions.
Thanks for the great content!
Impressive refit of the bike, and such a joy to ride no doubt? I wish I was younger again as I miss riding bikes, at 70 yo and disabled now it would be a challenge to get my leg over something hot and throbbing, have fun, my friend, I love the videos.
Thank you so much David I'm really glad you enjoy my videos :)
Man, that exhaust sound is chunky! It sounds great! Superb revival on this one and it looks great. It's Interesting to see those airbox support brackets accommodating flat-head screws. I almost did a double-take!
Wow, amazing video, thanks. My 13 year old son had a lesson in engines, carbs, hydraulics etc. from me as we went along. We are buying him his first trials bike this year so he will soon be getting his hands dirty.
It's the most satisfying thing in the world to see this kind of work. I like that we have so many of the same tools too.
Great freshing up on the motor!
Making Dougie Lambkin look amateurish! Awesome job!
Great to see and hear!
It sounds very strong, looks great, thanks for sharing!
Looks good Big Man. Well done👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers buddy :)
I know this was just a "resto light", but we are spoiled with the hardcore, and i missed it, still an awesome vidjya, again!👌
Beautiful sound! 😁Well done once again ☺👍
Marvelous job, didn't think you'd be able to resist going OTT with it 😉 thanks for the entertainment dude!
I love your videos! Every time I watch it gets me motivated to wrench on my projects for my little channel. Thanks for doing what you do!
Awesome job. You've inspired me to Tinker with my bike this weekend. Thankyou
Awesome hope you have as much fun as i did :)
So nice to see you rding it! Thanks for another video.
An awesome revival video, dude! Great show of your skills! Keep it up, mate! 🍻🤘💜
watching your videos is the most satisfying experience
Le ha quedado magnífica para como estaba. Enhorabuena y gracias
Even your revivals are spot on👍👍
Amazing as always, you are the best restorer in YT, hands down! Question if I may - Can you please share more details about the water blasting cabinet you are using in your shop? manufacturer? where you can buy those from? I tried to google it but most results found were really big industrial cabinets. Thanks! Keep the good work!
I can almost smell it! Awesome work pal 👍🏻
Just love watching your vids man. Whatever the content may be. Cars, bikes, oil cans, whatever. You are so thorough, knowledgeable and skilled that's it's extremely impressive. And they're always better when we hear your voice dude 😉👉. Great to see you having a blast on the machine you just fixed 👍👍👍. 😎
Always a pleasure to watch your work
Awesome job. I love that you just got it back up and going, instead of a full restoration. Don't get me wrong, I love your restorations, but this was great too. Also, I love how much stuff you were able to do with the length of the video. Well worth the wait. Can't wait to see what's next.
Just bought one of these and these video's help me so much. A million thanks.
No problem at all. Enjoy your Beta :)
Very nice restauration !
Love the videos. Thank you very much.
I’m doing an 07 Rev 3 right now. My biggest concern is getting the carb set correctly as to not overflow like a mad man. Lol.
What beautiful little power unit. I would loved to have worked on that. I did have a Bultaco TSS many years ago , that was a treat in its day too.
Good job as usually! Cheers from Italy!
Awesome video - sounds amazing- can’t wait for the next project 😎
I’m currently on holiday and watching this I can’t even wait till I’m back home, luv this 🔧🛠
I knew this would go above and beyond what you had planned to do, thank goodness for that, great job 😁👍
I wish you had told me before hand then i could have tried harder to reign myself in haha but yeah glad I went the extra mile as it was well worth it,
Great job 👍
This was very entertaining to watch.
Nothing like settling down with a nice restoration video after a long day of doing math problems
Another great video mate. I've never heard of this brand, Beta, but it seems to be a really good trail bike and you did (another) killer job on this one! 👍👍👍
You were really lucky that your side cover wasn't corroded. Both of the Rev 3s that I had were eaten away in there and had to be replaced. The originals were magnesium, the replacements are aluminum and last forever. Anyway, very nice seeing you put it into good working order again, I hope it returns the love by giving you years of fun trials riding!
Great fun to watch as always!
Love this series, always liked trial bikes
29k views & only 219 comments hmm... Well maestro does it again. i wonder how many folks know how to ride a motorbike using the clutch & gear without stalling or putting their foot on the ground. I know many in the U.S. are pathetic when it comes to driving. Thank you for sharing another nice how to do things right video...
Great job! Always wanted to have a go on a trials bike.👍🍻
They are great fun, tricky to ride though if you're not used to the way they deliver power.
An excellent rebuild , repair, as ever superb editing and filming . Great to watch . Hard bit must be to not get carried away and do a total resto .👍😁
In the carburettor the pin is just a guide to orient the emulsion tube correctly. They just tap out into the slide area.
Great job 👍 It looks a real beauty 😍
At last a new vid! Sure you post when possible. Made we go through previous vids and it is gold! Had the privilege to be in Edingburgh for Hogmanay and Fringe. You Scots are similar to us South Africans!
Love the bike restorations!
Thank you :)
Your Beta looks great. Sounds really good to. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Cheers Jeff glad you enjoyed it :)
Brilliant! Still the best restoration channel on YT. 👍🇦🇺
Thank you so much 😀
"If you'd like to know more about how a carb works..."
HA! I know how a carb works. It's magic. Possibly fairies. But definitely magic.
Loved it, everything turned out great!
Great little series. I was a little confused you didn't replace the tyres after the length you went to with everything else but then I saw the riding clips 🤭 enjoy putting about its great fun. I used to have the same bike in a 200cc.
Always worth the wait and hello from Canada !
Thank you so much :)
It's a wonderful job! ♥️
Great sounding bike..
Absolutely awesome! Love the long videos too!
Glad you like them! :)
The bike looks great! Well done.
Thank you! Cheers!
Brilliant video! Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Interesting to see, how they managed the exhaust chamber to be put out of the way and sneak it into the frame, genious, the front part from the exhaust flange looked like on a 4stroke...
Great job and great video as usual, thx a lot!
👍👍👍
Yeah its one of the many things i like about trials bikes is to see all of the ingenious weight/space saving techniques applied over the years, makes them a right pig to work on though haha.
@@RRCRestoration 🤣👍👍👍
Nice, clean and neat. Success.
Nice video, thanks for share!
Should have disclaimer in title.....WARNING: Graphic Content! Another great project, first-class work ethic and excellent video.
Great video looks and sounds fantastic stay safe looking forward to more videos 🇬🇧👍
Cheers man :)
marvelous job and not hard for you to do either.excellent!
Thank you, Glad you liked it :)
Brilliant mate! Top work…
Wow she looks so beautiful, great work mister! 🥰😉
Awesome, loving this revival! Love your restorations too, and these different vids are great. To be honest I’d probably watch a video of you cooking noodles at this point 😂 keep it up, your work is fantastic
Thank you so much :) and i do love noodles so maybe there's another video there ;) lol
Excellent brother! Great to see you riding the trials bike, you've got a great choice of vehicles to
ride/drive now!! I wonder whats going to be next 😜
👊✊️💥💨💨💨💨
Thank you glad you enjoyed it :) Haha yup so many toys I don't know what to play with anymore lol
Great work.
Good enough to handle that challenging pile of dirt too! lol Good stuff once more.
Haha yup my small pile of dirt is the ultimate test of man and machine! either that or its the best I had to and at the time lol
You are amazing, can't wait for the next project.
Thank you so much!
god it sounds really nice reminds of the old days.
FYI The emulsion tube just pushes out from the bottom. That pin just keeps it from rotating.
Well done, she came out nice indeed, RRC!
Thank you, Yeah I'm happy with it nice enough to ride but no so much that I'm terrified to drop it lol
nice job as always lad keep up the good work
Thank you very much :)
Yeah. Awesome sound and likewise "refurbished" 😎👌👍
Thank you :)
Lovely video , I enjoy as all of your work. The carburetor looks similar to Japanese types I have worked on down the years a shame the emulsion tube does not tap out as on many mikuni carbs so the tiny holes can be cleaned , your ultrasonic cleaner does the trick though.
Fantastic Pete P.
Top job as always you can almost smell the two stroke oil in the ending scenes
Thank you :)
Emulsion tube isnt pinned to the body, that will be just an alignment pin so that it will go back only in a single orientation
I'll have a closer look at that next time I'm in but I'm pretty sure it was pinned although I could be wrong.
@@RRCRestoration Give the emilsion tube a few taps from below and watch it move. One of my mikuni carbuerettors has the same design
Excellent video !
Cheers :)
Great job as always
Thank you :)
Great job!
Thank you :)
Sounds like a Big chainsaw. Nice work!
Love your work 👍
Thank you so much 😀
Excellent has always look forward to the next one
Thank you :)
great video as usual
Great job mate
Thank you :)
Yeah that motor sounds fantastic!
It really does :)
Nice video men!!!
I bought an ultrasonic cleaner after watching all your vids 🙂
A so very amazing Work Love it a next Bike is ready nice ❤️👍👍❤️
El Pulpero.👌🇪🇸👍. Buen trabajo
Im pretty sure the pin in the carb doesn't hold the emulsion tube in place. It's just to line up the jet correctly but doesn't hold it. Should be able to tap the jet out. Good video.
