Restoration of an old toy car Phaeton

Today I'm going to restore an old Phaeton toy car. For the restoration I used the following tools: sandblasting machine, powder painting, lathe, 3D grinder, laser engraver and many many hours of work with my hands. I hope you appreciate this restoration, I personally really liked the result.

Among a LOT of toy restoration videos I watched, this is one of the top five (out of the works of at least 750 of the best in here, some with 500K+ subs) The way you made the restoration is one amazing piece of art by itself. Браво =) у меня был такой красно-чёрный Фаэтон в начале 90-х. Подарок на день рождения, 7 лет. На то время это было невиданное чудо. Передний и задний ход, настоящая подвеска и фары, работающий тент и двери.. Мне завидовала половина ребят с нашей улицы. Ваше видео принесло столько светлых воспоминаний о детстве, спасибо огромное =)

That is amazing how you restored a rusty old toy car to looking like new. I did not know it was electric until you disassembled it. I thought that it was too far gone from all that rust, but you restored it and replaced some missing parts. Excellent work.

This was awesome!
But please, next time use rust converter before paint or it will continue to rust under the paint. All those tiny holes still have tons of rust in them, no matter how good your sand blasting was.

No bondo evident but all the pits were filled in. Mysterious. Still, a great video

Sprinkle a little baking soda on the glue joint for something like that grill surround makes it a super strong bond.
I've seen other restorers do that and it sets up like concrete.
