Restoration of an old unique cannon corkscrew
The restoration of this unique corkscrew began with the removal of rust in a solution of citric acid and hydrogen peroxide. I decided to paint the corkscrew with powder paint. There was also a cover missing to complete the restoration. I made the new lid completely from scratch by casting parts from brass and turning it on a lathe. I was impressed with the result of the restoration and it turned out quite well.

I'm an upholsterer and I can tell you, the canvas cover is too slack but I'm not surprised. Getting a top like that tight is REALLY difficult.

@@PSVRestoration ну колёса как минимум оставил бы жёлтыми, да и кузов можно было покрасить в жёлтый с элементами чёрного, думаю смотрелось бы хорошо
Колеса в оригинале не были жёлтыми, и делать всю машинку желтой по мне это не очень красиво
@@PSVRestoration ну не всю) заменить жёлтый на синий например. А на счёт колёс не знаю,высказал своё мнение)

I have one. Just in a much better condition. And mine has a hollow cap. So it looks exactly like a cannon. And some engraving too. And it's also silver. But I have no idea how old it is. I reckong around 30+ years.
