Tesseracts music is so emotional and in a sense almost meditating or hypnotic. The odd time-signatures and heavy, agressive elements might make some blind to this, but to me it just adds to the emotion. And I could tell from your review that their music moved you as well, which was great to see.
"Beautifully/melodically heavy" is how I'd describe the contrast between the vocals & the instrumental @ 3:40. You hit it right on the head & clearly get why many people love this band. The complexity elements are there too for sure but not simply for complexity's sake. It's more in the odd accents, rhythms & the general song structure as opposed to the far more common flashy/technical guitar-based riffs/leads & with this mindset they always seem to serve the flow of the song & the basslines (which are always excellent). 👍😁 The next track is "Eclipse" if I'm not mistaken? A personal favourite, very atmospheric as per usual haha but great grooves in there! 😁
This album is one of the all time favourites, although some of the best recordings are from the Portals live/studio release which has a more punchy mix. Hope to see more Tesseract. Cheers🤘
One of the only bands i can enjoy literally every song. Love getting these reaction videos in my feed 🔥😂
