While watching this, I had the biggest grin on my face for a plethora of reasons:
1. If you’ve seen the Donkmaster series, this was like “a taste of his own medicine”
2. Deep down we all wanted to see the Donkmaster win at least one race

the Hoonicorn has very short gearing, even compared to stuff like the Nissan GT-R, which is a street legal car known for having short gearing to help with acceleration
I love that Ken never holds back even the tiniest bit. He could play with his prey a little to make em think they've got a chance, but instead he just hammers it every time to the finish line.
He does have a racing reputation to keep up with. Being an ex pro rally driver and all, he's gotta race for real or people are just gonna talk shit about him being washed up or some sort

If you don’t build a drag car with traction then you didn’t build a good drag car. Donks are as dumb as their owners
@@DIYAmateurHour Drag setup is for track, where there's extra traction laid down, to try to do the equivalent of that on this clean road, you'd need probably double the width of the tires. It's why both teams mention they'd like a rematch on an actual track. Hoonicorn's AWD basically is like the RWD with double the width of rear tires.
He was spinning his tires all the way down the track, rolling start doesn't help him on a non Drag course, not with that much power

@Christopher AWD is better for (half) mile and roll racing, but I’ve seen plenty of dudes wreak havoc at the quarter mile with it too lmao
@Christopher The efficiency cap for AWD depends on your drivetrain, you can’t just pull a number out of your ass for that. Same goes for the 300hp, there’s a lot more variables to that equation than that.
The fact that you don’t see AWD in top fuel is also culture, basic aerodynamics and the fact that RWD is more simple. You might pull the front up a little, but that just means you have to work on the car’s balance and power split. At the end of the day the extra work will be worth it, because AWD doesn’t just have one single advantage. You can see that in roll racing in particular, the car is planted even while shifting and that shit just keeps pulling.
Quite honestly the only one who seems confused here is you. Top fuel and normal people drag racing are basically incomparable, therefore applying the same logic to both is just dumb
