    I agree with Gab. Antonio Conte would be the worst fit at Chelsea now with so many new players whom Poch is trying to fit together as a team. Conte would probably do well at managing a team like Napoli which has very good established players.

    It would be hilarious if ESPN FC spent all season trying to get Ten Hag sacked only for him to stay. While making excuses for Poch all season only for him to get fired. Knowing how bad ESPN FC’s pundits are at making predictions, I wouldn’t be surprised if this scenario actually happens.

    Conte can be a good thing for chelsea in terms of elite wining mentality but i thinks chelsea need a elite manager and more (a good finisher striker because of the lack of goals from jackson and injuries of nkunku and inconsitent of sterling mudryik , have replacement for injuries players like reece james ,fofana , lavia , nkunku to recover well and sell unneeded players like kepa, malang sarr, ziyech, lukaku , maybe badiashiele ,borja and loan young player to clubs and projects where they can grow and i presonnaly would even sell mudryk or wesley fofana on loan to saudi for some cash because of lost value of there deals, have good structure for the club so you dont replay the cycle of regression from elite level to mid level )

      You haven’t been watching football long enough . Conte is an elite manager . His first spell at Chelsea he won the league . Made juventis win unbeaten . He also won the league with inter milan .

      Juventus were on a 5 year trophy drought and had finished 7th twice in a row before he arrived. He barely spent anything either.
      His first summer saw him buy Vucinic, Pirlo and Vidal for a combined 25m. in total, he bought 14 players for a combined 80m. That's not a lot of money.
      He also turned a bunch of misfits into the most dominant backline we're ever likely to see. Buffon had become injury prone and looked finished at 33. Chiellini was an error -prone left back, Bonucci was effectively Rio Ferdinand before Vidic arrived while Barzagli was a journeyman utility 30 year old who was signed for 250k that January from Wolfsburg.
      He put Buffon on a weight training program and new diet while converting Chiellini to a left CB with Barzagli being deployed the other side of Bonucci. Lichsteiner (10m) was the RWB and De Cegile the left wing back with Grosso as back up.
      He simultaneously moulded Pirlo (free), Marchisio (academy graduate) and Vidal into an equally dominant midfield. They won the League unbeaten immediately and the next 2 titles under his watch. They also went on to win a further 6 in a row until Conte himself took over at Inter and ended that streak. The likes of Pogba were acquired for free and turned into the player who won the 2014 Golden Boy award and best young player at the World Cup. He revitalised Tevez who Juventus acquired for only 10m as well.
      It's a myth that Conte only spends money and doesn't develop players. Look at Chelsea where he gave debuts to the likes of Andreas Christensen and turned Victor Moses into a machine.
      Look at Inter where he made stars out of Bastoni and Barella while developing Hakimi into such a force that he became the most expensive full back in history.

    Conte is not the best manager but the best to overturn a club in crisis. His tracking record at Juventus, Chelsea and Inter is amazing, also not bad at spurs. Chelsea will definitely finish in top 4 under his management.

    • @jgooner894
      @jgooner894 Před 14 dny

      Maybe in future with other players but they definitely wouldn’t finish top 4 this season under Conte. They don’t have good finishers across their frontline, that’s probably their biggest problem.

      As a United fan, nothing will petrify me more than seeing Conte go there. They're not that far off and he'd set them up in a way that would nullify the weaknesses of Trent & Virgil with a 3 man CB line. All he'd really ask for is a top striker, CB, lwb and a CDM which can be financed by selling Salah & Nunez. Jota, Diaz, Szoboszlai and maybe another winger is all Conte would need if Salah and Nunez are both sold.
