    Looks like you made a good deal on the grandstand. Once you get the kinks out that mower will make you money and make your employees happy. You have the volume set perfect now. Keep up your good attitude and trust the good Lord with all the rest...……..

    Just replaced the ignition switch. I replace the voltage regulator twice. I have 116 hours on it. My ferris has 283 hours and not a single problem.

      Wow, only major problem I ever had was a blown hydro hose on my grandstands. But good to hear your luck with Farris. I never tried them yet.

    most large cities have a hyd hose shop , most farm implement and most construction repair shops and napa have a hose crimper tool. they can make hoses while u wait. also getting a machine like that, yes you did the maintenance but some things just happen due to age and care. once you work thru the bugs it should run a while for you. if it saves you $400 a week in ot, man that's a major savings for the biz. good luck.

      Yeah I could have gotten a hose made but to take off the hose off the engine is not an easy task. So that’s why I had to wait.

    I have the grandstand 36 and I prefer using my 52 Ferris to cut all the front and love the 30" time cutter to cut the backyard. I rarely ever use this Grandstand 36, only have 100 hours after 2 years. I only time I enjoy using it is when the backyard has dog Sh...t. But I don't want to sell at a lost, unless it is 1K lost. I hate that you can not full the tank. if you do, it just spill out because of short neck. You don't need the mulch kit, I took mine off and block the chute using the part from the flap.

      I don’t like my 36” Grandstand either. That old 40 inch that I bought on this video is 100 times better. But the bigger the deck the stronger the engine and that’s really what makes the mowers better. Yeah but I’ll never buy a 36 inch grandstand ever again 40 is the same strength as a 48 inch.

    Man I'm here having trouble selling my 33" Wright stander fix deck. Asking 4000 with 170hours on it. And they think is too much and it's well maintained. And you pay all that money and still in rough shape.

      I need to look into those standers they look tight and compact, can probably fit in small gates and paths.

      I heard they can be made pretty easy but I would need them to replicate them and I couldn’t take them off to bring them in for copying.

  • @buenavistalawnlandscape3523

    I wont by that more for any price just by looking at the air filter it's really not maintained properly...some people don't take pride in their stuff

    Lawn Thumb, how are you liking your Toro GS 36? I watched your other video with your new purchase, and wondering how is the cut quality? Spindles? Likes/dislikes? debating between a toro or a gravely because they are my local dealers. Also I watched another video where you appeared on another you tubers video taking about commercial vs residential equipment, what video was that? I cannot remember where I first came across you and its bothering me haha?

    • @LawnThumbs
      @LawnThumbs  Před 5 lety

      LakeCityPirate ; So I’m a huge fan of Toro grandstands, I don’t know that I could ever use any other kind because I like them so much. But with that said I don’t like 36 inch. Because the motor is a little smaller than a 40 inch and above. The 36 inch only has two blades and so if the grass is a little wet it does a horrible job mulching. In fact I’m really good friends with my dealer and he told me that He rarely ever puts A mulching system on them because it just doesn’t work that good, the engine is just not strong enough. So I am actually going to go put a bagging system on here in a week or two, and then I’m going to go that route because I think that’s going to help make my lawns look better with that mower. Now having said all that I definitely recommend getting a 40 inch if you’re going to do residentials that more is bad ass! It’s practically the same exact size , The Engine is stronger, just 2 inches bigger on each side everything else is the same. And mulching with the 40 or 46 inch is just awesome, and the lawns look great. Now I have never used any other grandstand so I can’t really compare I just know that these I love them. And I think that other channel might’ve been the Pest and lawn ginja.

    I would have never touched that mower with a 10ft pole. It was not maintained at all. Oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, probably blades, hydro fluid changed, 2 new tires before you even use it. Nice that he threw in a brand new trimmer. That machine with 985 hours is not worth $4,500 when your all said and done.
