A bit more educational than entertaining (my bad)
I also kept saying "bowl" instead of "float"

I have a 2006 s50 and I left it in the garage for over 5 years. I gave it a good carb clean and fluid changes and ran perfectly although there is a lot of moss and it’s at 63k miles

This is just a great video. Covering these items is wonderful and so important. You did a great job. A great idea is to attach a lead that has sealable terminals, permanently to the battery; easy recharge access.

Thanks for your excellent video about the Boulevard S50!!!
I have a 2006 S50 with only 1,300 miles with similar gasoline leak problem when I try to start my bike....
I'm sure I might have some gummy dirt in the carburetors... I might need to buy a rebuilt kit for them
Please let us know when you finish your bike!

Would have loved to see it finished! I’ve got a 2006 s50 (my first bike) and love it so much but like you said I only see them in black! What color did you end up going with

Howdy, I own the same motorcycle and I was wondering where you order your parts from?

It's so hard that I'm thinking about installing a cone filter instead.

Your video is very helpful, surprised there aren't more comments as this material would also apply to the vs 800 Intruder. Did you remove the idle mixture screw plugs and adjust the idle mixture? Did you have to synch the carbs after this or was it not necessary as it appears you didn't disconnect any of the throttle linkage/cables?

@@MechannibalGarage65 Thanks Mechannibal, that's what I was hoping to hear. My S 50 starts and runs well except for a slight hesitation on acceleration. Probably a gummed up pilot jet but I would inspect and clean everything while I was in there and also remove the idle mixture screw plugs and adjust the idle circuit which I understand is set lean from the factory for emissions. Again, thanks for your prompt reply, I realize it's 7 months since you posted this video.

@@MechannibalGarage65 Hey MG, I have disconnected the fuel line from the tank and ran a 50/50 mixture of gas and Seafoam through the carbs until it started smoking then let it sit for 24 hrs to soak with that mix. It did make an improvement but still has some hesitation. Will use 1-2 ozs. of seafoam per gallon for the remainder of the riding season. If it's not cured by fall, I'll order up parts and tackle the job this winter. As you say it's "a real pain" but I'll take my time and be patient.

My 1400 is in great shape but still a pain to start in cold weather. It also runs on one cyl for a few seconds before running on both. Not nearly as bad as this one though. (At least it sounded like it was running on just one 1 in the video...with the second cyl trying intermittently to come in). Anyone know a remedy for that? TIA Stan

Sir: Is a 2006 Suzuki s50 a good Moto? It was hard starting this morning and after five or six attempts it finally ran. A friend wants 1500 dollars and in great shape. Thanks

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one. They are forgiving and reliable bikes. Just stay on top of your maintenance and it won’t let you down

I warmed the rubber boot up with a heat gun to soften it up and then it slid right on

Help I have a 2009 s50 boulevard and am having a difficult time finding a batter to fit it. Mine has a + positive post on the right side towards the back (as you are sitting on it). Found plenty but positive post is on the left side. Can anyone give me a contact number or address where I can purchase one? thx
