It’s surreal to go from going to high school with you to seeing you doing such incredible things. Keep grinding David, the passion you have for pushing the rotary projects screams through the screen. God Bless
No car; no problem……. David talking about what’s what on making the dream come true : worth every minute watching. Inspiration & aspiration for all motorheads
If it’s a 2.2kw starter that means it will be drawing 2200watts from your electrical system. Far more than the 1.3kw or 1.6kw starters you mentioned. It uses much more amperage to achieve this higher load draw of 2200 watts. Assuming an average of 14.4 volts at the battery (and not accounting for voltage drop when the starter is loading the system), the 2.2kw starter would be using 63-42 more amps from the battery compared to the stock 1.3 of 1.6kw starters.
Good call-out. Hadn't run the calculation when I upgraded my fd to the 2.2kw starter. Is there a significant risk to running this on the stock wiring or not a big deal due to wiring head room and the short duration that the starter is engaged for?
Mate , awesome news and definitely having fat power to everything in the car really kicks it all into life real quick ! I play with car audio as well and use some of those principles in the delivery side of power input , loved hearing you say that because it doesn't get talked about often to the masses 💪😆👌
Can’t wait to see this car finished Mad Mike is finishing up his 5 rotor 787D but his is N/A but it sound like a beast. I’m sure your will sound like a monster as well as you put a lot of attention into the sound of your cars.
Lovin' the info and progress on this project. Your 4-rotor RX-7 is one of my all-time most favorite cars in the world (I feel like the new owner hasn't done much with it - wish we could see it more). I fucking looooove that thing to death. Excited to see what comes of this 5-rotor project! Question I been meaning to ask for a while though: why didn't you go 6-rotor?
Thank you! 5 rotor will produce the same sound as V10 formula one which creates the unique major 3rd internal harmony. 6 rotor sounds killer too but there's nothing as pure and joyous as the major 3rd interval. The 5 rotor is also lighter, more efficient, and more easily turbo charged as it's hard to find a single turbine that could flow anymore than this size engine.
I plan on taking contracts to build Formula Fives, that totally doable if you're interested. However it will be much more expensive than a basic SLC as there is a tremendous amount of custom fabrication and design changes, including approximately 2 years ETA (assuming parts are available)
Sometimes car guys like these kinds things. If you're making something unique at home this is good info to have. For the record no I'm not driving anything close to the 5rotor but I am a car guy I have a few old-school mustangs and my favorite part about cars is the air flow and stoichiometry, love fluid dynamics. That applies especially to all cats with a blower or anything. Can't wait to see your whip Dave.

Hi, you went to Oak Mountain? Whats your name?
No car; no problem……. David talking about what’s what on making the dream come true : worth every minute watching. Inspiration & aspiration for all motorheads
Hoping an update is coming soon. This is the one rotary build I'm extremely excited about seeing come to life.
It's 00:00 here and I have school tomorrow but this is so important for me, you're my inspiration! 😍
I use a WOSP 2KW on my 3.4 2JZ and that thing ROCKS.
So excited to see you doing this. Great job.

Its simple 2200 watt divided by 13.5 volts is 162 amps, wich is not really that crazy. Batteries can handle 300-600+ easy
Der SLC mit 3 oder 5 Rotoren ist sehr schön und verwendet ein Aerodisc-Rad.

Since i found your project a year ago, i am waiting for the sound... Brap and 72°... it doesn't get any better🤣❤️
sweet man! cant wait to hear this thing!
So looking forward to seeing this car and engine come to life

Have a great day yourself! Mine got better with this video 😎
cant wait to hear the 5 rotor
Where's the videos 😢,

@@dzmazzei Cool, got it! Thanks for the info dawg!
Mr. Mazzei, when do you show us the first run then? I‘m super excited to hear that TRITONUS sound in a Wankel engine.
Any updates?
Is the 5 rotor gonna be at sema?
whats up with the captions?
bruv... where are the updates?
Mazz-e sounds cooler never knew it's the way you said it.
Força
If only he could bring the same creativity to his content as he does with his builds
No way. I personally enjoy the simplicity of his videos and always very detailed, imo.
If you improved the filming and production of your videos, I'm sure you would have more than a millions subs
how do you even get started doing this? my project VW is absolutely nothing in comparison.
It's one day at a time, leaning into your passion. Choosing one micro-move that you can do towards your passion daily for 20 years 😎
lets say, I wanted to build one but didnt want to build one and gave you money to build me one, how would that work?

@@dzmazzeiMazzeiWorks 5 rotor SLC commissions sounds like a dreamm😮💨
This was a commercial…nothing more

I found it useful, i need a higher kw starter cheers
The more important thing,
You didn't have to watch it, and I'm very thankful for your views and comment.
@@dzmazzei man I can't wait to see what it's like when it's all done. I can't remember but did you mention if it's gonna be street or just race only?
