I picked up a pair of them to try in my XRT and Xmaxx. They have excellent punch and run time. I bought the 6.0 4s batteries and after running them in my truck I put around 5500 mah back into them. I liked them so much I bought another couple of pairs so now I have 3 sets of them.
I've always had good luck with Turnigy Lipo batteries in my RC planes, 3D helicopters, RC boats, and RC cars. Just great all-around bang for your buck Lipo batteries. They have proven so for years in the RC plane and RC helicopter community to be reliable Lipo batteries. I can't say the same about the Spektrum Smart batteries. 2 brand new 6s 5000mah Smart Lipos and a Spektrum Duo Smart charger almost burnt down my Barn shep. Both caught fire within 5 minutes of charging. Expensive isn't always better. At least it wants in my case. $350 plus a workbench gone in 10 minutes.
I wouldn't go anywhere near Spektrum/traxxas batteries. Overpriced junk.. you get way more for your money with something like Turnigy!
Been needing to do a lipo shop for a while, but been putting off coz of all the prices 😂
Hopefully these will be the solution!!
We are releasing our own battery line in approx 2 months..... let me say they will compete quite nicely with these!

Awesome PSA! I get the thing about the weather from a few other guys in the snowy states.. but the grass isn't always greener, my friend! I know it's not an easy thing to do, but you could always move to a better location for recording. That bash spot looks pretty sweet either way though😁 Cheers!

How do they compare to Spektrum batterys, they are so expensive. I wonder if someone will test them because sometimes I don't believe what they say on the pack when they are this cheap compared to others.

@@beyondRC as it goes I ordered two , just the shippings a bit misleading imho . I was over the extra to qualify with three batteries and it still charged for shipping , so decided to get two instead 😂.

Touting " you need these" without any long term testing is pretty nonsensical. You really aren't drawing much current out of a 60amp esc to test how the batteries perform. And the c rating they are claiming is also absolutely ridicoulus.
They are the cheapest around at the moment.. no one’s forcing you to buy them.. don’t believe the c rating feel free to question it by contacting hobbyking. I’m loving them and so are many others. Don’t see why you are crying about it haha 🤦

Yes, the batteries are cheap and seem to perform decent in low power applications. Because face it: running a 2 or 3s lipo in a small MT isn't demanding high current. Im not saying they are crap, but How they perform in high performance 6 or 8s EDF jets or big 1/7 scale speedrun cars needs to be seen.
And don't tell me you truly believe these outlandish c ratings? I thought you're doing model building/rc for a long time, I can't believe this is the first time you here someone questioning the c rating. C ratings like this are almost impossible to achieve. You should educate yourself in that matter.

Not sure what you on about dude. These Batteries are great value period. Buy something that’s tried and tested for advanced applications. This will do the job just fine for 90% of the bashers out there at a great price point, and that’s the point.
