I usually eat peanut butter toast, fruit, and yogurt for breakfast. Triscuts, cream cheese, and tomato’s for lunch. For dinner I like pasta, veggies, pizza, salad, Spanish rice, zucchini fries, garlic toast. Dinner is different every day. I eat graham crackers, peanut butter, and chocolate chips for bedtime snack every day. Other snacks throughout the day are fruits, veggies, cracker packs, protein bars, granola, juice, really whatever is easy to grab! My mom never made me feel bad about food or called anything unhealthy. I just eat whatever I want and it usually comes out as a nice balance. I learned how difficult foods make me feel by overeating chips and throwing up once. Never had a problem with moderation since! I eat about 2000-2500 calories a day but I don’t usually track. I’m very active and eat what sounds good and makes me feel good and gives me enough energy for my crazy ADHD ways!😂

I ate like a typical American for 50 yrs and it has taken a toll on my hearth. 4 Years ago a sting in the hospital where I almost died, changed my perspective on food and eating permanently. I discovered Intermittent Fasting and Keto and since then vegetables comprise the bulk of my nutrition. Hubby is growing all natural, fully organic veggies and fruits in our garden which helps a lot in eating better.

For like the first comment; my family only eats fast food because it’s fast and having 3 kids doing multiple different activities, fast food is often the fastest. What we are trying to do is plan ahead so we have fast meals ready for when we need them and when we have fast food, we always add greens to try to make it healthier.
Edit: it’s also hard for me because I have adhd which I just found out which explains that a lot of my sugar cravings are for fast dopamine but I have started branching out and over the past year found healthy foods and activities that give me sustained dopamine. It’s a work in progress!

I can relate to the bad diet feeling. I eat pretty healthily most of the time, so whenever I have more than say one cookie or one slice of cake at like a party or something my stomach just feels bad from all of the extra sugar
