Murphy was over a second quicker than any lap ever seen around the joint.

That car looks amazing - front all scuffed, left guard pushed in, you know it's had a bloody hard day, then to see it just monstering down on Whincup the whole lap before taking the win. Hell yeah.

2014 was such an amazing race. The cars that started last, second to last and third to last all went a lap down at one stage during the race, yet on the last lap they were running first, second and third.
There were 2 red flags (iirc) because of cars stuck in the turn 2 barriers needing a tractor to be pulled out again, and these cars ended up finishing in first and second place.
Just imagine how crazy the rest of the race had to be for that to even be possible.
well 2nd last was actually out due to an alternator issue
but what should be mentioned and expanding your point, the car that finished second, the 360 driven by Moffat and Taz Douglas, was in the wall at turn 2 twice and was more tape than car by the end of it, they started 7th, were upto 3, 4 laps down at one point then finished 2nd, crazy year
RIP Mike Burgmann, who was killed in the 1986 Bathurst 1000 when he lost control on the Concord Straight and crashed into the bridge. The accident contributed to the creation of what is now known as The Chase.
Bathurst is such an incredible circuit. The twists over the mountain are so unbelievably close. Absolute masterclass.

@@LogieT2K falcon didnt win its last Bathurst the FGX never won Bathurst, last Falcon win was 2015 with mostert, was Holden 16,17,18 (falcons last year) and Mustang won last year

A year of lasts that've all been a first on the mountain and on the flat. History.. There's nothing like it. Goodbye old.. Hello new.

I think Supercars need to look 'game-changing' up in the dictionary. Most of these moments while special in their own right aren't game-changing. Murphy lap of the gods yes, Mostert winning from the pits yes. Rest are just highlights. Wheres the pack of arseholes or flipping after hitting a rock, winning by over a lap while setting a new lap record on the last? Very short memories in Supercars world.

Credit to the camera work for bathurst it makes the driving look almost as epic as it would be in real life.
Most other race tracks and camera work looks more like a gardening commercial it's that boring.. With all the slips and slides in this it's edge of your seat stuff.
