Why would they do that? Apple already did a Touch ID, then, Face ID, maybe in the future Voice ID? They are not going backwards :)
John De Leon, some phones have voice ID, though it's not as popular as Touch ID, Face ID or Iris Scanner.
I use a Samsung Galaxy S8, and I can unlock it with my voice, should I wish to do so.

Well face id was there way before anyway. And since that idea can probably be never flawless, finger ID will be considerably better (in privacy aspects, everything is an issue).

I agree, I’m a long time Apple user and have the iPhone X, but I think my next phone will be a Samsung. I’m sick of Apple not putting features in and the fact that they never listen to what the world wants in a phone. Samsung packs in the features and I think I’d rather that even though I really do like the software of Apple.
I've always liked android; HOWEVER, iPhones is what my primary phone will most likely always be simply because I prefer using/the feel of iOS. This along with other stuff is the reason why I have an android as my secondary and not my primary.
