Old time skater here... I casually teach friends and kids - and I struggle to clearly communicate concepts that have become instinctive to me... Your video saved me: so clearly do you lay out all the elementary steps - the explicit breakdowns I needed to make my teachings useful... Thank you !
I was out of line before this video. Now I’m inline.
As a inline trainer/coach myself I do like this video. Every single step very well explained at low entry level that feels comfortable for beginners. 👍
14:00 Someone who lived on skates his entire life being able to demonstrate in the most humble and beginner way how to stand up made me hit the subscribe button 👏🤝
The best skating tutorial vid on youtube.
Thank you mhan, i got to skate within one day 🎉🎉🎉
I can't believe this
After 1 week I'm gonna buy my first inline skate.I'm 24 and so excited.Thank you❤
Thanks a lot from Republic of Moldova❤
My daughters dont understand English, but watching your tutorial, make them easier to understand how to play inline skate, thank you very much
thanks so much .i followed everything and now i am better in skating .lots of love.
The perfect video for my daughter. I usually am very bad at transmitting feeling into words for something I do naturally and this video definitely will help her understand better what I mean. Thanks!
you are so incredibly kind for teaching this for free. ❤ it’s clear you’ve been teaching for a while, this is very comprehensible for any beginner.
Wow, great video! Reminds me of my childhood when I learned all this through trial and error. You explain everything perfectly! Wish I had this video back in the day. Awesome job Ricardo as usual!
I am a skating newbie.
Observing yourself, I think that roller skating means wiping your feet on the carpet.
Congratulations for a fine work !!!
what
Roller blade noob here! That part about parallel turning by shifting weight to the back was an eye opener! I'm having such a hard time turning and stopping, and I'm hoping to give these all a go soon. Thank you!🎉
It looks so fun. I will try again at 40 years old. At 10 years, I was quite easy and have so fun with my quad. I will try to get again this feeling. Regards from France.
thank you this very helpful. I was looking for a complete guide and nothing beats this.
those yellow skates are nice af
Great and informative training video on how start learning to skate. I will share this video to the group soon! Keep up the great work!
Great video! Thanks for making this - I'm just learning to skate myself and this is very informative and super helpful! Great job 👍
Hey Ricardo, great video as always! Your content has consistently helped me improve my inline skating, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you. I'm thrilled to be the first one commenting today! Thanks again.
I was 1sec ahead of you in commenting.
such a detailed and helpful video for beginners! Thanks for this!
33:25 for those who love cats, but this was truly such a helpful video. Actually going through the basics of shifting your weight and controlling your lack of balance really has helped me to understand what I'm doing while I'm still learning. Thank you for making this, Ricardo!
Amazing tutorial! Thank you.
coming from hockey skating you did a REALLY good job at explaining the fundamentals!! even to the point where I was learning the reasons behind things I inherently knew/picked up from copying the instructor. you're in good hands!!
Got Skates on Christmas, first timer.
Am really excited for my Inline journey:)
Thanks dude great video ! Gonna rewatch this over and over until my skates arrive and even after ahaa 🙏🏾
Hi Ricardo! I am new to skating. Just fetting my stride down. Thanks so much foe this video. Appreciate you. ❤
Thanks for the tips you are amazing !!!!❤🎉
One of the best pedagogic video to learn skating ! Hope that the intermediate and confirme comes soon !
Thank you sir for the very detailed and clear instructions, really appreciated it.
Many thanks for that awesome video. It is very well explained. I bought my skates yesterday and today, I practiced on the carpet in my basement while watching this video. Now, I do not feel as nervous to go try my roller blades in the park! For a professional, I find that you have the precious talent of vulgarization which allows the beginner to better understand.
thnx. bro, im new to skating n i love this very helpful
I haven't come across such a good trainer as you Ricardo ..made me just hit the subscribe button. Thank you for your great help
Thanks so much, Lino! this video really works for beginners, like me! It would let me easily know how to choose skates that fit my level and how to safely learn to skate!
Great full-length video!
I started during covid with soft boots, and they were, as I realized eventually. literally rotating around my foot as I tried to turn, so I kept falling. The boot "fit" correctly, but with the shape and fit, it just couldn't hold to my foot in a way that felt and supported me learning technique. =)
I’ve recently switched from Roller Skates to Inline skates and there were something’s I still didn’t quite understand yet but this video helped a lot thank you!
I like your video alot! Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻:))
Thank you! Your instructions helped me very much to start me off on my Inline Skates 😊
I wish I had watched this video first!! I really hurt my wrist and my pride by falling backwards incorrectly! I love this video! Thank youuuuuuu
I can't wait to try again now that I have this info on moving forward!
my ass hurtz.....
Understandable! I was at a roller rink and I finally tried off the wall but fell backwards catching myself with my hands because of my natural instinct and sprained my wrist. Ill try again soon though!
Thank you soo much for your efforts
Thanks man ❤
Thank youuu so much !!
Thanks for such a good video

Excellent video! Im waiting to by a pair of skates soon and this will be so helpful!

Good teacher
The best !
Great video Mr Lino. I have been a big fan of yours and have learnt a lot watching your videos. Love from India. Would love to have you sometime in India🇮🇳🇮🇳
Although I skate well already, that was very pleasant to watch.
Also let it be recommended so this tutorial may help some beginner!
Thanks a lot! ❤
Watching from Philippines bro
Thank you - the parallel turn reminded me how animals "lead" with the left if turning left, and lead with the right to turn right. (And they are such athletes that if they want to switch it up, they can, which I bet pro-skaters can, too!)
That's amazing
thank u very much, i will try and update the progress
1st try: i can move forward about 3 to 4 m
absolutely this video make me able to skate, i try another videos such a v step, and it doesnt work, but with this video i can moved, thank u
This has helped me alot thank you. I'm 35 and just got my 1st skates so I can skate with my son while he bikes. So I was nervous as. Not sure if this helps but the skates I got are black THEM 909S. I'll let you all know when I've grasped the basics and can do it. Never to old to learn knew things.
never. ❤
Muito obrigada pelo vídeo!
Hey Ricardo I recently watched your down hill basic video. Can you make a tutorial video on the air brake stopping technique
Aprendo a patinar y practico mi listening 😊
here before 1 million views
I sure need some course bro.... ; )
Nice bro beginners here
Please make a video about how to deal with pressure points and how to properly wash a heat mouldable liner.
Good vid to start off 2024. Time to become a better aggressive urban wizard.
Thank you so much for this tutorial but can you please make a tutorial for how to cruise
THANK YOU PROFESSOR❗️💯💯💯
I wanted to teach myself with inline skate shoes that I got from Amazon at 40$,
Yea that wz a good teach.
this is very helpfull for me. thank you so much...
may you always be healthy
edit: after my skate arrived, i can launch in around 15 minute first time i wear inline skate. i follow up your tutorial.
Arigatou gozaimasu, sensei🤣🤣
Thank you for this detailed video
I wear a size 14 in shoes, I can’t find a hard boot skate in that size that is also fitting for wide feet. Can you recommend what skates to use ?
Obrigado!
Sir very guaid full for me because I am beginner
Correr bem. Pense assim! hahahahahahahaha. Acredite! Confie na técnica!
Do you have any suggestions on where to get speed skates for size 5 women 😅
Does anyone know if I can just reposition my feet as parallel in order to stop until I can master the other stopping methods as a beginner? Also can anyone recommend a good hard boot skate that would work for casual cruising? I just got a Powerslide Imperial Lollipop pair but after practicing on both tennis courts and concrete they seem really slow. I’m not sure if they need any adjusting for ease like one would do for quad skates. Any suggestions or insight? Thanks in advance!
Any recommendations for a good quality safe helmet?
Hi I often feel my foot/toes going numb when I skate, and I often feel pressure in my foot when I first put them on. Am I lacing them wrong? Do I just have weird nerves?
The one thing I will say about a bike helmet vs an aggressive sport helmet.... A bike helmet is only meant for one crash and then needs replaced.. The aggressive helmets are meant to take a hit over and over.
Questo é il tuo miglior video....sará utile a chi vuole imparare. In passato ho imparato già questo e anche invertito le ruote dei pattini. Ora ho paura ad andare più veloce dei 12kmh....come posso superare questo?
So i am a long time Ice skater I have been playing Ice Hockey and do you have any other tips for people trying to learn inline skating from Ice hockey skating
That is.. how long did it take your new boot skate take to brake in ..
Muito bom Ricardo, eu comprei uns agora, já tou cota para isto mas foi o melhor vídeo que vi. O título aqui aparece me em português, se calhar mudavas o título para inglês.
I have in turned knees so my feet face outwards normally- would this make skaying any harder?
What skates does he have on in this video? I like em.
You are my hero! It's time to move less on motorcycle and hop on 8 wheels.
po eu queria um curso de como andar com agressive, principalmente anti rocker, tipo dicas de freio e virar em 2 rodas.
I havent skated in about 13 years. I used to go everyday. Unless it rained or snowed of course.
I cant be bothered with excercising. But this is excercise id have fun with again. Bought the them skates 909. But with 80mm wheels. Whats the point of 58mm wheels?
🤣👍 like a Stanley Tucci..
Good job👍
thank you for your teachings..
it'd be nice to be told how to fall forward, I lost a front tooth falling forward and I'm still not really sure how to fall forward and both protect your face and not break an arm
this wont be a perfect explication but when you fall don't just put you arms forward and legs back, try to fall with your arms a little bent and as your falling turn like your going to sit crisscrossed
Turn your head to your favorite direction and follow with your body and you should try and land on your back and roll and it shouldn’t break anything it’s what I do
Let gravity help you fall forward.
Thank you so much… after watching this vide, I became confident, walked into the mall and bought inline skates and made my first attempt skating.
I can’t express how happy I am and I appreciate your efforts.
Thank you once more
I’d suggest putting your hand in front to catch yourself and protect your head and face
After 20yrs I want to skate again can you guide me a little more sir ty in advance
Man, I'm just waiting for all the snow in my city to die 😂
Wish I would have watched this video 2 days ago on how to fall I have shoulder issues I fell tried to get back up kept falling looked like a pokemon magicarp my daught came over laughing at me I'm 33 years old she was saying get up dad I couldn't got mad pulled her on top as play lol but man I feel sore from smacking that floor at the rink
