It's hilarious how they got it all wrong. In this conversation both SA and NZ were written off and look where those teams are now. I don't see how you can underestimate the two teams that have proven to be strong and consistent in world cups. This has not aged well. Respect to NZ and as proud South African , bring it home boys.

Meh, a 'good' game by a team "up for it" vs a team with 13/14 players for half the game, with 7 of those players who hadn't played for a month AND coupled with a referee-ing approach Sth'n teams just are not used to.... learn and adapt....not worried at all for NZ. Just more growth and learnings for the next game/s.
Look how much NZ have 'grown' in 12 months - and this loss (even the score) emboldens my confidence given the ability of this coaching group and senior playing group to 'learn' and apply. The winner of the World Cup will be the last team standing not who wins the first pool game.
For SA?? Ireland and Scotland will be well familiar with that style of refereeing and Hollywood acting that Marx got a rugby Oscar for - particularly Ireland. That game will see Oscar performances right across both teams with Le Roux and your Coloured boys all classic 'actors' with their appeals to the ref and now Marx (crikey who would have thought) vs Sexton and his band of referees that know the rules more than the actual guy wearing white. And Nienbar's 7-1 bench split has exposed specifically how you guys intend to play in the big games. All the best to your boys but under those conditions on the weekend you should have beaten the AB's by 50.

Whatever helps you guys in the NH get through the day. ABs know how to win tournaments. And so do the Springboks. Ireland don’t. As for the Aussies, they're on the easier side of the draw so the odds are better. You don't have to be a genius to l work that through. And SH holds 8 out of the 9 WCs. Ireland just needs to concentrate on Sexton staying fit and respect the refs.

Argentina is a major dark horse.
They could easily beat England and Japan, top their group, and then beat Wales.
Argentina in the semis will be charged up with all the emotion in the world - and we've seen them beat ABs twice in the last few years; that means they can beat anyone on the day if their heads are right.
Argentina is a very good side and on their day they can beat anyone. But they do have a significant drop from starting to bench to reserves and they struggle to string good performances together.
I expect a strong showing, I expect them to claim a notable scalp or two, but I don't see them progressing further than the SF.
