A little update for those wondering if they should buy the game over a year later: 1. They fixed most if not all the collision issues 2. You can now see enemy outlines behind enviorments, making it mucuh easier to orient yourself with the top down camera 3. Bugs and glitches , the few that were, have been fixed. So, yeah, most of the main issues the game had have been fixed and its a solid 9/10 right now

The dynamic between those two is one thing I am very curious about. Before the events of Darksiders 3, it felt like Fury was very self absorbed and was only with the other horsemen because she had to be. This, of course, changed by the end of the game, but with how much Death proved he deeply cares for his brethren in Darksiders 2, I picture those two clashing the most.
More like a sequel to the spin off series, DS:Genesis was announced 5 months ago, so is possible that it was being in development for about a year (probably started this year or ending of last year), so I wouldn't be surprised if another one is announced next year before the 4th one of the main series.
Steven Bryan weird that Death comes across as the more empathetic of them. Strife probably suffers from crippling depression with the amount of time he spends bantering.

If i play a Horsemen of the Apocalypse I expect to be able to take down enemies left and right (like the old darksiders), compared to playing a shittier version of dark souls, where one crap enemy can kill me. I mean no wonder the devs moved on to remnant from the ashes after darksiders 3.

I love that they deliberately made the series so it can pretty much go in any direction it wants. There's no reason that there can't be a shoot 'em up spinoff for example based on the flying horse segments from Darksiders 1.
I think all the ppl hating on 3 should try it now with all the patches and the new "old" control scheme and combat flow. I was not thrilled at first but thanks to work Gunfire put into it I grew to love it almost as much as first two. I love this series and want to see it finally get the props it deserves! This game looks right up my alley and w/ couch co-op I couldn't be more thrilled to have my lil brother move back closer to home! Airship Syndicate really killed it with Battlechasers and this looks even better!
Maybe the greatest coop game I’ve ever played. Rich story, Vicious combat, talent sphere grid, AMAZING lvl design, A+ Voice acting and Art, everything from the drawn animation scenes to the fully rendered ones. This game is definitely a Gem. If your even slightly thinking about getting this game because you liked darksiders...GET IT. One warning though. You SHOULD have a friend couch coop OR online friend and be voiced up. The dungeons are challenging. Enjoy.

I wish there's a way to zoom in the camera so that it feels immersive. I enjoyed ds2 mostly due to the camera angle and the fact you can control it. If the final game doesn't zoom in to the action, I'm afraid I might not get it. I do have to admit this is the most polished Darksiders game in terms of graphics and gameplay. If the camera can be zoomed so the characters don't look so tiny, that would be great

I really wish they would of made one the horseman pestilence. Like grotesque and toxic type moves. Maybe powers that call up insects and acid or poision that stuns enemies with sickness. Would of been a cool mix to the four I think
Dark siders series, is underrated! Alot better than so many games with lost directions or new ips. Death stranding, assassins creed series or battlefield are some of them.
I just bought this game.... and, it's awesome. However, I gotta say there are a few gripes. The control is a little wonky when climbing up walls and having to jump from one hanging object to another. I don't like having a zoomed out camera angle ALL the time. In DS 1, you were in a close up view of War. You didn't feel away from the action or tiny. The camera angles make the game harder than it should be in some areas because it's hard to judge distance when jumping from one platform to the other ( you have to be sure and look at the shadow under your character to know where he's gonna land). This becomes tedious when having to quickly navigate across fast falling platforms. I'm only on the 5th part of the game, but I have to say one thing I'm not feeling is that a lot of the enemies don't take stun damage. They just stand there and absorb your attacks. Doesn't really evoke a feeling of power from the player. You're one of the 4 horsemen, everything around you should not be taking damage from you like it's nothing. Lastly, the 4 horsemen: Death, War, Pestilence*, and Famine* should all have unique powers that go with their names/titles. War is the only one I see that seems to fit his title. "Strife" should have some sort of power to make things wilt or die just by his very being. Fury should have had some sort of swarm of locusts, or ability to allow her to make things sick. I dare say Air Ship Syndicate (Vigil Games) missed some great opportunities and sort of downplayed these iconic personalities. All in all, these are somewhat minor gripes. So far, I give this game a solid 7.5. Update: i finished the game a few weeks ago. The "puzzles" in this game... absolutley atrocious. They're not hard based on intelligence, they're hard ... based on busted control and trial and error. They are mind blowingly tedious and irritating. They alone make me bring the game down to a 5.5. The ending to the game was a little abrupt for me. But thats just me.
I would've preferred a open-world type of format for this style of game, especially since past games in the series were like that. There's frankly too many isometric games like this in cramped, linear dungeons with merely segmented open areas.

Since they decided to make him and war playable and also in the diablo-ese format I appreciate the direction it's going. I will say my best one out of the series is still 2, I'm looking forward to this one

This is one of those games that could’ve shot through the atmosphere with spectacular cutscenes that showcased cinematic movie scenes. Well yes, now i'm on 2nd run Hard difficulty and only thing which i hate in game is that they change cinematics for comic like pages.... One of the best moments in Darksiders 1 are badass cinematics with Samael 😔
2:37 yeah, but there's two people. You're not one player swapping between two characters in a large area. You're two players playing a character each in a large area. Split up and cover a side of the screen. You have twice the reaction time and twice the hands in the fight. The issue is small compared to how much you can do with two people in the fight and not solo. Especially if one character is ranged. Getting shot off screen seems like someone's not watching a side of the area.
If you like this game I heavily recommend Battlechasers: Nightwar. It's a turn-based RPG done by the same studio with the same art style and top-down perspective and it is heavily underrated.
Come on Darksiders deserve better and frankly Striff is suppose to have his own story line like everbody else did. Granted that it does take place in the beginning before war was framed ,but it would be nice to see what striff went through on his quest as the council demanded of him. Please come out with another Darksiders and let it be just striff only maybe meet with death or fury to help him out for a brief moment

This is IGN’s highest rated Darksiders game, I believe. This is the first time a game in the series got the respect it deserved.
Just of the surface and the few dialogue scenes shown, makes me think of what a Cable & Deadpool game would be like.

I dare say Air Ship Syndicate (Vigil Games) missed some great opportunities and sort of downplayed these iconic personalities. All in all, these are somewhat minor gripes. So far, I give this game a solid 7.5. Update: i finished the game a few weeks ago. The "puzzles" in this game... absolutley atrocious. They're not hard based on intelligence, they're hard ... based on busted control and trial and error. They are mind blowingly tedious and irritating. They alone make me bring the game down to a 5.5. The ending to the game was a little abrupt for me. But thats just me.
I would've preferred a open-world type of format for this style of game, especially since past games in the series were like that. There's frankly too many isometric games like this in cramped, linear dungeons with merely segmented open areas.

I never had a problem with the camera obscuring enemies. You can generally just relocate yourself and they will follow.
Just now finished the main story and arena 12. This game is a blast.

Lack of polish, pre-prequel story and still-frame cutscenes? Hopefuly they try to fund or hold on to resourses for Darksiders 4. As long as the game is fun ,i believe we should show our support for THQN.
I'm enjoying this game. I'm going to try to play through Darksiders 3 again because I like this game and the characters so much.
Now we need Darksiders game like Battlechasers. That was one of the best turn-based games ever

@@Sam-vk8xd Not really it looks appealing to me I've been a huge Darksiders fan for awhile and I've read up on the lore of each game and appreciate each entry for what they bring to the table and for awhile I was worried what they might do with the final horseman since he mainly use guns. Since they decided to make him and war playable and also in the diablo-ese format I appreciate the direction it's going. I will say my best one out of the series is still 2, I'm looking forward to this one

This is one of those games that could’ve shot through the atmosphere with spectacular cutscenes that showcased cinematic movie scenes. But they opted for the cheap route and just kept it at snarky dialogue with side scrolling literature.....this is such a disrespect to the fan base. Don’t think that we as fans didn’t notice the disrespect.....word will spread.
Well yes, now i'm on 2nd run Hard difficulty and only thing which i hate in game is that they change cinematics for comic like pages.... One of the best moments in Darksiders 1 are badass cinematics with Samael 😔
2:37 yeah, but there's two people. You're not one player swapping between two characters in a large area. You're two players playing a character each in a large area. Split up and cover a side of the screen. You have twice the reaction time and twice the hands in the fight. The issue is small compared to how much you can do with two people in the fight and not solo. Especially if one character is ranged. Getting shot off screen seems like someone's not watching a side of the area.
DS2 is the only game ive ever played to have dungeon designs on par with (but even better than imo) Zelda

If you like this game I heavily recommend Battlechasers: Nightwar. It's a turn-based RPG done by the same studio with the same art style and top-down perspective and it is heavily underrated.

Come on Darksiders deserve better and frankly Striff is suppose to have his own story line like everbody else did. Granted that it does take place in the beginning before war was framed ,but it would be nice to see what striff went through on his quest as the council demanded of him. Please come out with another Darksiders and let it be just striff only maybe meet with death or fury to help him out for a brief moment
