You say the same thing effectively three times in the beginning, that's extremely redundant, just say it once ("And today we are going...") and then just jump into action. It sounds awkward otherwise and if it's intended as fluff to pad out time it's not necessary. Anyway still watching just a constructive thought. Tip: if you're reading off a script and it sounds awkward when you read it out loud then you know it should be cut. Asking someone else to listen to it will help give an unbiased first impression. Just to make people aware a lot of the issues plaguing the switch version are also present in the PS4 & Xbox versions. The camera is the biggest flaw of this game. Even playing on PS4 it’s too zoomed out. I have also noticed stuttering here and there. So don’t hold out on the Switch version under the impression it’s the only buggy version. I wish they release a patch to zoom in more.
I found the map to be pretty straightforward. When u go to the map, it has a small shaded spot to show where u are at. Besides that, the map layout isn't confusing either. Sure a couple of times I will have to double check the map to make sure I took the right bridge or doorway.

Solid review. As a huge Darksiders fan, I do agree with most of what you said. For me Darksiders Genesis is actually one of my top 5 games of all time. It combines Darksiders/God of War, Zelda and Diablo which are all favorites of mine. Playing co op with a friend is incredible locally. Playing the endless arena mode trying to get as far as possible is such a blast! I bought the PS4 collector's edition of this game and then after I beat it I also bought the regular game on the Switch so I could take it with me to work or wherever. Love this game! 🗡🔥
I mean they fixed Darksiders 3 (though that wasn't on the switch) still it's way too expensive at this point. I'll wait for patches and a sale for sure.
I am mostly interested in this for the local coop to play over the holidays, not sure about the overhead view camera though, I would've preferred the third person. I also wish you could select from all 4 of the horsemen rather than just two. Its 70% off on switch right now though, so I think its worth a try at that price.

I loved the original which I played on my PS3 I bought them all for the Switch I love the game it’s fun sometimes frustrating hard full of play time if you are a 100% kind of player like myself and it’s fun the game is glitchy and has crashed on my several times however, that isn’t a deal breaker for me hopefully Darksiders 3 gets released for the Switch
the only issue i have with the game is i wish it would have been a prequel with just strife and it was in the darksiders 2 style which i found the best. then they could come out with darksiders 4 which should have all 4 characters and make them kinda like the lego games where they move around and attack and you can switch in and out to different ones.. just my opinion.
This is a really good game. Looks great on Switch too. This is much more Darksiders Warmastered than Darksiders II, in terms of port quality. It’s super fun.

I really enjoyed 1 & 2. I started 3 but was never hooked into it enough to get that far into it. I still have it in my library so I might check it out one day. I have the Switch and PS4 versions. Both are great. PS4 of course looks better and better frame rate. One complaint about the video. 1 and 2 are not the same. They did not change up on the 3rd. ALL of them play play differently. First one was Zelda ish. The second one is more rpg ish with a combo system and equipping tons of different armor and weapons. The 3rd is more dark souls ish and action based.
This video felt like RGT was reading a script (for the 1st time) and felt a little boring compared to other content he has made. The review is not the issue but like the tone, this felt like CNN news or something

At first I was intimidated by the controls, but all in all, it's pretty well optimized. I enjoyed the game, the action and the puzzles. Was repetitive, but was expecting it too. Right now I'm playing Bloodstained Ritual of the Night and today I was thinking about how the control and use of the triggers, among others, was not done as well as DS Genesis. I bought Darksiders Warmastered this week.

Well, Genesis is a prequel, so I would play that first. And then play the others in order. But I personally don't think it matters. Each game has completely different gameplay, so pick the one that has the most interesting gameplay for you. DS1 is a level based 3rd person action rpg. D DS2 is an open world action rpg that has a ton of climbing, reminds me of prince of Persia. DS3 is a straight up dark souls clone. But with some cool skills and attacks. Cool fire abilities. Harder game with emphasizes dodging skills.

Recently I ve been playin darksiders 2 on switch and it was full of bugs...some time it happened when i was fast traveling in quick succession other times it happened randomly...and all kinds of glitches from freezeing to whole ground being transparent. I beat it then i ve started to play dlc arguls tomb and i ve noticed th3 soul splitter ability is gon3 just like that,...and i couldnt carry in without it.so i ve put it down :-)

It's fun. If u like the Darksiders world and like Diablo clones, with some metroidvania mixed in for good measure. It's a iso 3rd person hack n slash with rpg skill trees. .

The frame rate is his fault? How is a game that is poorly optimized on switch his fault? Diablo runs at 60 fps on switch so framerates drops are cause by poor optimization, not the switches fault
Rhov with a V well from what I see since playing fate extal link in both dock and handheld mode I had no problem with reading the map on the switch screen I think this should be no problem but fate shows a character icon and direction of travel but darksider Genesis doesn't map is fan for switch handheld mode but it does have the character direction icon
The first 2 darksiders games are the best even the switch versions were pretty good but 3 sucked and this one I might wait till it goes on sale and they do some updates to fix it

The white arrow on the map shows where you are. It's harder to see, but still present. My fave switch game thus far.

Has anybody beat/got the 3 Leviathan cores for the switch? I think the game is broken.

I am shocked that a Switch Port is the suck. Oh wait, it is a Switch port, that is just the norm. Buy on Switch, expect the glitch. Oh by the way, DO NOT sleep in Snack World Gold, it is a kick in the pants.
I jut bought it at GameStop for 12.99. I like darksiders 1-2 so I'll give it a shot.
When the menu got stupid I just went to sleep mode then came back and it solves that problem.
RGT I was so disappointed compared to the last two dark siders games it’s totally wack why did they mix up or change stuff when it was working so well I will not be picking this game up nice review thanks for the warning

It's fun. If u like the Darksiders world and like Diablo clones, with some metroidvania mixed in for good measure. It's a iso 3rd person hack n slash with rpg skill trees. .

Darksiders 1 was like zelda but darksiders 2 was not. Every game has had a gameplay change
Would have gotten it day one if all four horsemen were mix and match teams of two. Probably would have paid full price. Waiting for a sale.

"Ugh people kept joining my game" there's something called invite mode or single that's not a flaw, and the frame rate is all your fault don't play games you want to look good on a switch, but I'll agree with you on the map one that's bs
The frame rate is his fault? How is a game that is poorly optimized on switch his fault? Diablo runs at 60 fps on switch so framerates drops are cause by poor optimization, not the switches fault

Rhov with a V I think the graphics are fine and not be as blurry as most people make it out to be it's fine not blurry and runs at a stable framerate
@@maplemiles3381 how about the marker on the map. Is it really gamebreaking? that you cant see yourself on the map?
Rhov with a V well from what I see since playing fate extal link in both dock and handheld mode I had no problem with reading the map on the switch screen I think this should be no problem but fate shows a character icon and direction of travel but darksider Genesis doesn't map is fan for switch handheld mode but it does have the character direction icon

Other than the isometric view, there's little of this game that's like diablo at all 🤔
The first 2 darksiders games are the best even the switch versions were pretty good but 3 sucked and this one I might wait till it goes on sale and they do some updates to fix it

Dwayne St John I actually loved 3, it’s prolly my second favorite of the series after darksiders 2 with the first game being my least favorite

The hardcore fans think that Darksiders 3 is the worst game and that its just basic. I played it for myself and some people were right its just basic imo,
I'll give it a try! I like the style and the coop function. But I'll buy it on ps4 I because of the better performance.
