Mam I added one glass of salt rock salt powdered at home for five full glasses of 'mavudu'. Salt has given a lot of water.I used the salt water and ground mustard seeds and red chilli.now after a week the pickle really looks good but salt is a bit more. Even mango tastes salty.how to set this right.please reply.Thank you.
5:1 makes it extremely salty.I tried it last year and the mangoes shrunk terribly ( they became too small and rubbery).I would suggest you go with 8:1( for 8 measure of mango,1 measure of salt,1 measure of chilli powder and 1/2 mustard powder). Hope this helps.

Amma...I did second type like grind the chilli and added the vadu mango do not whether can post the picture..shall try...here in Dubai we got only bit big vadu manga...but it's ok.. shrieked very much in 2-3 weeks..
