    Tomato -1/2 kg
    Tamarind - 100 GMs
    Salt- 1/2 cup
    Red chilli powder- 1/2 cup
    Oil- 1/2 cup
    Garlic- 10-15

    Hi friends since few people have mentioned that salt is more you can reduce it to 80 gms.instead 100gms.or increase tomato to1,1/4 kg.

    My mother had learnt this recette from her telugu neighbour long long time ago and had forgotten the process. She made me fo through sooo many videos to find the recette using this process. She is very happy though we didn't understand a word! Thank you soo much! I wish someone will put subtitle for People like us who can't understand the original version....keeping my finger crossed

    Ma’am today I made this tomato pickle. It came out very well and tastes very good. I followed each and every instructions of yours. As I am in Bangalore it took 4 days for the tomatoes to dry on the manthara leaf. Thanks a lot ma’am. 🙏🙏🙏

    Once you wrote this pickle recipe in aval vikatan 30 vagai oorugaai supplement book.I prepared it. It was tasty and didn't spoil though I didn't keep it for long time.

    Great tutorial today.. I will sure make this. As u said for yourself with this pickle, my first successful pickle is ur mango pickle u did in jaya tv episode. Since then I'm making it every year and giving to my mil and mom also. It lasted 1.5 years in room temp, without refrigeration, just as u guaranteed in that video. Then your lemon pickle. Now u gave another long-lasting yearly pickle recipe. Thanks and hugs to u.. pls talk in a video just about pickles, it's varieties, nutrition and myths about pickles. If u make karuvadagam/thalippu vadagam and killu vadam(using onions n green chillies), teach that also. Nellikai la oorugai varusham muzhukka vara mathiri poda mudiyuma.. if so pls teach that too.     Revathy madam I tried this it. It took 3 days for complete drying. After mixing the chili powder too, the fermentation continued, and the qty started to double...so I was concerned whether it will go bad in quality .so I immediately I shallow fried the pickle in oil... please tell me why the fermentation continued even after mixing the chilly powder or it is ok but will not spoil the taste and quality.....pls clarify... how ever I sincerely appreciate your way explanation..it really superb..and you look likey mom...crisp and informative in your delivery...

    I made it and changed the recipe a little. We don’t use garlic at home, so I used asafoetida/ perungayam. And you’re right I had to change salt and Kharar depending on how sour the tomatoes were. It was awesome😜 one entire jaadi empty. I plan to make once more, this time I think it would be good to add venthiyam to the tempering.

      My.mom used to make when we lived in chennai.and now she is no more and i was searching for this receipe .i remembered but quantity was confusion but my mom used to add channa dal and whole red chillies also . Our whole extended family in himachal used to wait for this when we used to visit them in summer. And it comes more tasty in other tomato not hybrid

    2years back i did this pickle ,it comes out excellent...Now again i do to prepare it ma...small doubt tamarind juice sunlight la vekambodhi steel container use panalama ... because salt podrom so ....steel container la vekambodhu yedhachum aguma...Ippo climate vere light ah rain ah iriki so.... dry aga 2-3 days agum adhan small doubt

    வணக்கம் அம்மா, போன வருடம் இந்த ஊறுகாய் செய்தேன் மா ரொம்ப அருமையா இருந்தது, எல்லோருக்கும் ரொம்ப புடிச்சுப் போச்சு. இப்போ இதை நாட்டு தக்காளியில் செய்தால் புளி எவ்வளவு சேர்கனும்? நாட்டு தக்காளி புளிப்பு கொஞ்சம் அதிகமாக இருக்கும் அதான் மா . இபபோ ஊறுகாய் போடலாமா?
