Revathy madam I tried this it. It took 3 days for complete drying. After mixing the chili powder too, the fermentation continued, and the qty started to double...so I was concerned whether it will go bad in quality .so I immediately I shallow fried the pickle in oil... please tell me why the fermentation continued even after mixing the chilly powder or it is ok but will not spoil the taste and quality.....pls clarify... how ever I sincerely appreciate your way explanation..it really superb..and you look likey mom...crisp and informative in your delivery...

Thank you so very much for this authentic ripe tomato pickle Maami ! Didn't know what to do with the summer harvest of tomatoes. All other recipes in the net is similar to tomato thokku not pickle like. Made twice already.
I made it and changed the recipe a little. We don’t use garlic at home, so I used asafoetida/ perungayam. And you’re right I had to change salt and Kharar depending on how sour the tomatoes were. It was awesome😜 one entire jaadi empty. I plan to make once more, this time I think it would be good to add venthiyam to the tempering.

Hi friends since few people have mentioned that salt is more you can reduce it to 80 gms.instead 100gms.or increase tomato to1,1/4 kg.

2years back i did this pickle ,it comes out excellent...Now again i do to prepare it ma...small doubt tamarind juice sunlight la vekambodhi steel container use panalama ... because salt podrom so ....steel container la vekambodhu yedhachum aguma...Ippo climate vere light ah rain ah iriki so.... dry aga 2-3 days agum adhan small doubt
Nothing will happen in just 3days.Kindly reduce the salt a little.I’ve mentioned in the comments
