  • This is a fun DIY for all Disney lovers! You can cut faux leather on a Cricut machine and you can also cut genuine leather on a Cricut machine. Cut the faux leather to make these darling Disney inspired earrings. I used red and white polka dot faux leather and black faux leather to make these. I had so much fun cutting and creating so many diy faux leather earrings. I made Minnie Mouse Disney teardrop earrings, Minnie Mouse Disney leaf earrings, Minnie Mouse Disney heart faux leather earrings, Minnie Mouse triangle faux leather earrings and more.

    Why do you use two sheets of heat and bond? It’s meant to be sticky on the back so could you get away with one sheet with heat and bond and attach it to the other sheet without the heat and bond? You seem to be using double the amount it’s meant for? Thanks!

    On your black leather what are your settings and on the red and white poka dots leather what are your settings...... I really like watching your videos

    • @myinspirationcorner4499
      @myinspirationcorner4499  Před 4 lety

      On my black faux leather I used shimmer leather, regular pressure. On the polka dot faux leather I put them back to back before cutting so it was thicker than normal. So in this case I actually changed to a genuine leather setting with normal pressure, but with the deep cut blade.

    Does the transfer tape leave sticky residue like the mats? Thats the issue I've been coming across.

    Can the explore air 2 cut through the doubled up red faux leather? What settings would you recommend?

    • @myinspirationcorner4499
      @myinspirationcorner4499  Před 4 lety +1

      Lately when I cut the doubled up faux leather I change to my deep cut blade and set my material to genuine leather. Yes. The Cricut air 2 can cut this.

    • @myinspirationcorner4499
      @myinspirationcorner4499  Před 4 lety

      I'm not sure if that would make it stiff enough for earrings. You'd probably need to use some fabric stiffner.

  • @sharijames6287

    Do you sell your earrings? If so an you give me an idea how much you sell them for? Thank you in advance!

    • @myinspirationcorner4499
      @myinspirationcorner4499  Před 3 lety

      Hi Shari. Sellers seem to have pretty big differences in their prices. I recommend checking out etsy and looking at various sellers. When pricing earrings, keep in mind all of your costs (actual supply costs, mats, transfer tape, leather waste when projects go wrong, etc.). And don't forget your valuable time when pricing out your earrings as well! Earrings costs vary based on size (bigger earrings take more material) and type of material (genuine leather is much more expensive that faux leather). I see faux leather earrings vary from $6-16 and genuine leather vary from about $8-$18.
