  • In this video, I make circle earrings with my Cricut Maker. I show several DIY earrings, including faux leather earrings, genuine leather earrings, and cork earrings. And I show how you can seasonalize these diy leather earrings for the holidays. You'll see Fourth of July earrings with stars cork. You'll see Halloween leather earrings with ghosts, pumpkins, and more. You'll see Christmas leather earrings. I also show camouflage leather earrings and floral leather earrings.
    It's easy to cut leather with a Cricut. It's also easy to cut faux leather and cork with a Cricut. In the video I show how to make faux leather earrings with a Cricut Maker but you can also make these leather earrings with a Cricut Explore Air as well.
    I'll show you how I use Heat N Bond to glue earrings back to back so the backside of the faux leather earrings look better. You can also glue earrings together with Crafter's Pick fabric glue.
    In my video, I said I'd link to several items that I mention in the video, so I am doing that below. My links are affiliate links, which means that I may receive a small commission for items purchased after clicking my link. This doesn't change the price you pay, but it does help me continue to create my blog posts and video posts.

      Thanks! The rolling tool is my brayer. I love this tool for making earrings because you really need to get the material pressed nicely on the mat. Without it you could use a dough roller. Here's a link to it: amzn.to/2ZJxOHU

    Hi, Just found you and loved you tutorial. When using an iron on cork to apply heat and bond, what setting should your iron be on and for how long?

    • @myinspirationcorner4499
      @myinspirationcorner4499  Před 4 lety

      You have to be super careful with cork. I've found that if it's too hot or too long, it damages the cork. On my cricut mini press, I leave it on the lowest setting and leave it on for about 5 seconds.

    I think I've seen where you use the heat n bond and put the two sheet together before cutting. I'm a bit of a perfectionist too and would probably spend too much time trying to match up pieces. Doing it before would make it thicker but you could just send it through again.

    • @myinspirationcorner4499
      @myinspirationcorner4499  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes. Most always I do attach the two pieces before sending it through. I either cut multiple passes, use the more pressure option, or even switch to a genuine leather setting depending on the thickness.

    On a side note: PLEASE be careful with posting Disney items on Etsy or any other online selling platforms, the company is hitting sellers left and right with infringement and could potentially hit with legal action against you, I have a friend going thru this and is not fun. :(

    • @myinspirationcorner4499

      I would only do genuine leather as one sided. I would put on a deep cut blade (instead of the fine tip blade), and I’d use a strong grip mat. I love cutting genuine leather on my Cricut.
