Rangers could be going for Lord of the Rings (Rangers of the North) or fantasy fiction in general, including Dungeons & Dragons. In all of those, a ranger is someone living in the forest and an expert in all things woods. Sometimes an archer, and just very woods oriented.
Nah, it probably just connected Rangers = Forest Ranger, and thats where the foresty wooded theme came from. Looks like there might even be some fire lookout watch towers in there too, so very national park-ish looking.

I think the AI focused too much on the word "Rangers" for that NY one, that looks like a ranger's guard station you see in national parks, and the Panthers one looks like King Louie's lair from the Jungle Book.
Overall really cool arenas, tge problem is they completly cater to the NHL team playing there, and there are other sports teams such as Lacrosse, and Basketball that share the arena, now I'm a bigger fan of hockey then anyother sport so I'd be in favor of these arenas, but unfortunatly I dont see this happening.
The Rangers concept looks like a penitentiary to me.
Wait until more years in the future I would not be surprised when the technology gets cheaper that arenas Casinos etc will implement something like the Las Vegas sphere where you can change the looks of thé buildings and do cool visual effects like the sharks aquarium would pry be the most realistic as of right now or like being in Pittsburgh and then making it look like your in Antarctica with the penguins behind you watching the game or the devils making you in like a child friendly form of like hell juts spit balling but I really think this is something we could see I’m not saying in the next couple of years but look how fast we advance now days

The Stars should have been a space station arena in space with a giant glass dome over it. The AI really messed up on that one. Even the Stars mascot is a fuzzy green alien named Victor E. Green. The rest seem to go along with their themes better.
