Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, and I’ll follow this process with interest. But I bought my midnight blue 2019 FLSB mostly because I like it the way it is.
Finally Harley releases a sport touring bike with a minimalist modern look and some people want to turn it into a blacked-out stereotype with old-school wheels, apes, studded bags and club-style fairing.
I keep the mini batwing on, but remove the panniers for short hops and use a swingarm bag for essentials. I did install 4” pullback risers to accommodate my short arms and got a full stage one from the dealer to let the M8 breathe with a Rinehart slip-on, Screamin’ Eagle ventilator and a dyno tune. Runs great, handles great, offers a comfortable ride and turns heads.
To each his own, but I think I’ll quit while I’m ahead. Looking forward to seeing how this project turns out!

I agree John a lot of people who do mods on Harley't don't know what they are doing I've seen some really nice bikes turned into POS with problems, which they sell on to other people, some people need to leave motorcycle a lone or at least go and work with someone who knows what their doing.

Four plus months into owning a Sport Glide, Scorched Orange/Black Denim, just about 2,000 miles. Took it home with a stage III kit, SE exhaust, extreme flow air cleaner and SE tuning and a big smile on my face. It was a long road to finely pulling the trigger on this bike, but as soon as I saw it and test road it, SOLD! The Kit setups that are available from Screamin Eagle, are well thought out. I know there are a lot of other players out there making go fast parts, but "I feel like the S E folks" did a great job. Yes, the stock M8 107 is a good motor but once you ride the Stage III........ As far as the build, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Can't believe you don't have more subscribers than you do!?!?! Your videos are great. You ride a good selection of bikes and your route to test ride is better then any other vlogger. Made me a fan. Oh, I agree with a few others in the comments on how to customize but definitely taller handle bars and switch out that exhaust to be mean!

Me too on the wheels. This down season I'm powder coating those suckers gloss black. I like the mantis wheels too but not so much the kind of dull looking wheel color scheme. I also want to vinyl wrap the bags gloss black too. Higher handlebars and stage 2 exhaust. I'm like you, 2019 Sport Glide and starting to see more and more mods for our "Glide." 😁 Ride safe and thx for the vid!

For the Aircleaner, do the Arlen Ness Velocity 65. It looks drag racer inspired and what not, but its a new air cleaner design, that just got released. And Arlen Ness passed away a few days ago.
I think it'd be cool to have an Arlen Ness air intake for a little nod to the Chopper King.

BMC Corbin seat got one for my 18 Street Bob comfort for touring and passenger with a wider passenger seat, nice two up riding very comfortable for both, but still keeps the sleek great style of the bike my favorite seat by far! I did 1500 miles in two days on it doing 750 miles a day got all the way to my first destination still feeling comfortable and like I could ride more if needed! I think it would look amazing on this bike!

Great video Mark. Looking forward to seeing this get done. I don’t think you have to do too much to it. Nothing radical. I’m not such a fan of the panniers at present (having said paint them! 🤪) but do like the fairing. Just tone down the chrome, subtle colour scheme, perhaps remove the binnacle and use breakout instruments? It’s got quite modern appointments with inverted forks etc so if it were mine I would look to maintain a modern theme.

Hiya! Love the vlog! I ride triumph scrambler custom but love your Harley customs, so BA! Here in the US where I live nothing but Street Glides and Electra’s, your bikes are star! I rented a sport glide in Cali earlier this year loved it! Rode 280 miles great touring bike. I want one! My thoughts around custom:
    1. Stage 1 upgrade
    2. Pipes (exhaust)VH all day
    3. Bars slight raise and drag bar
    4. Seat Corbin
    5. Highway bars
    6. LED all the way around lights (flashing brake light)
    7. Higher screen on front fairing
    8. Small sissy bar
    9. Custom HD basics , derby, gas caps, air cleaner,
    10. Then you can send it to me for inspection!
    Cheers mate!

Love your videos bro, keep it up.
Powder coating, all the bike , in gloss black. Change handle bars to same original drag bars of low rider s. Stage 2 , with heavy breather screamn eagle. V&H 2 into 1 exhaust or arlen ness f-bomb . Remove bags and change fairing to a sportier look fairing. On the tank use the 30es flying eagle decals in bronze color. Some bronze color wraps on pipes.........man it will look, sound and perform extra special.

What a great idea!!. I am just waiting for my 19 Sport Glide in vivid black to be delivered. At the outset I put on the taller screen, sundowner seat (regretting that decision after the comments from amacro 11 so that may be changed again!.) , screaming eagle stage 1 kit with the chrome street cannon exhaust (keeps warranty valid), air flow heated grips, black moustache bars, SigZ front lights/turn signals, sissy bar, rack, backrest, a host of other small detailing. I also put on a set of new Bridgestone H50 tires (my choice over the OEM Michelins). I also took off the reflectors front and back as its not a bicycle! (not a legal requirement here). I have seen a few Sport Glides on You Tube that have been totally "blacked out" as a dealer customisation, and I don't think they look great. The shape of the bike suits the mix of chrome and black, but I do think you can play with the proportion of one vs the other. I am going to invest in further customisation on my bike so I am looking forward to the series. My thoughts for the next stage of my bike project is to black-out the the chrome trim on the headlight so when the fairing is off it has a more integrated front end look, flush petrol caps for the tank, maybe black trim for the tank, black turn signals front and back, SigZ LED rear indicator/brake light, black brake pedal and shifter, and love jugs in black for the engine (when they make them for the new softails). I would like to change the bars, but again I don't like what I have seen from the US dealer customisation's on you tube, so looking for inspiration from your build!!.
