Your first reaction to the torque was awesome, this is what happens when you ride these bikes, you want one! The power & torque is intoxicating, I know a guy went from a Sportster to aSport Glide & he loves it. It’s like a mini Street Glide & looks great stripped down, nice review!

Sport Glide has definitely caught my attention at my local HD dealer. I’ve never ridden a larger displacement HD so coming off a Sporty (I ride a 1200 C) I’ve always wondered what and how much of a noticeable difference there would be.

You reminded me of shade tree surgeon the way that you started laughing 😂 when you got on it a little bit. He says all the time if a new bike don't make you giggle then your doing something wrong.

Steve Gustafson I currently ride a 2017 Iron 883 as my daily commuter, 25 mile round trip. Perfect for splitting lanes in the city. Question would you recommend your bike for a daily commuter? Thanks in advance for input.

@@JLMolina I ride my Sport Glide as my main transportation and she doesn't disappoint as a commuter. Great visibility because of the minimal fairing - keeps you on top of everything happening and still gives you some wind protection. The saddle bags can be opened and closed with one hand, which is very convenient when grabbing some food in a drive thru or when you need that snap on visor, etc. Plenty of power, good mileage considering it has all those CC's. I'm always getting at least 200 miles out of a tank and I could go further just dont want to risk it. She's a heavier girl than your 883, but for the most part you never know it. I adore this bike and cant wait to climb on her in a few minutes. Oh, even with the saddlebags, I still bring a backpack so I can quickly just have all my stuff and head in to work. Saddlebags are holding my rain gear and other random items. Also, I have yet to scrape a peg on this bike and I'm over 10,000 miles in less than 6 mos on her. Don't forget how convenient that cruise control is gonna be, especially with a 25 mile commute - like those times you rushed out the door and forgot to buckle your helmet, or finish that coffee you brought with you 😼

Steve Gustafson I really appreciate your response, considering you have 10000 miles in 6 months I definitely take your word that it’s the perfect upgrade for me! Stay safe out there brother.

@@JLMolina well, about 4,500 of those miles were to Los Angeles and back, this past July. Camped all the way, fabulous. Had my 6,000 mile service done at Huntington Beach Harley

The Harley Davidson Freedom Promise lets you trade in your Iron for what you paid for it. I have an Iron 883 and will very likely get a larger Harley next year. I’m in NYC when I have a little more time, we should definitely go on a ride.

Man ride the Softail Slim. I didn’t get to ride that one. I did however, ride the Street Bob and LOVED IT! Lots of low end torque as well. It will throw you back when you twist the throttle. I held on and only shifted with my index and middle fingers on the clutch. I rode the 2020, and also the Softail Low Rider. Both great bikes.

Nice bike. It is a bit ironic that the Low Rider has a 5.1 ground clearance, whereas the Sport Glide is 4.7. Does anybody know if it's possible to lift the ground clearance on the Sport Glide?
