    Great bike. Top of the Softail line with more versatility and options such as cruise control, ABS, USB port, etc than any softail. Harley sells it abroad in 2022 but not in the states. Harley should bring back the Sport Glide stateside in two versions.
    One with blacked out motor, pipe, & trim more club style with Harley’s T bar & clete pegs.
    The other with existing chrome & pull back bars. Boards from the Fat Boy and a narrow seat front to also accommodate women riders.
    Women riders a growing market segment have been buying this bike. Some experienced riders moving up from Sportsters. Low seat height set in it instead of on it and 100 pounds lighter to maneuver in garages & gravel lots etc than baggers.
    This bike is significantly different than the LRS not as much for the fairing, bags, & options but more for the riding position.
    LRS is forward riding position dirt bike like bars mid controls for canyon carving wheelies etc.
    The Sport Glide is a cruiser with laid back riding position pulled back bars & forward controls.
    Last, this time advertise & promote it. Still today most even Harley riders ask what is it.

      Good thoughts, I added FB floorboards, bars similar to mini-apes, modulating tail lights & LED’s all around. Absolutely love this bike!….. Ride hard or stay home 😎

      Lovely video and your comments/views 👍. Gr8 for stoplight action upto 3 tank burns…assuming you have floorboards as you advise. Add a 15” shield & upgrade F/R shocks too and you can run 6 hours at 50F. Should be gr8 used opportunity…ideal is stage 2 by dealer with solid breakin and no electrical BS/addons. Torque cam betterunless you think you wanna run MC style @110+WOT…then add oil cooler and …more depend on how you molest your sled. This bike won’t be coming back to the US, but solid used pick up opportunity. Can be sexy or bad AF depending on how you set her up.

      Is there a winner for you between the LRS and the SG? I’m in the middle of deciding on one and finding it EXTREMELY HARD!!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’ve ridden both multiple times and finding no resolution. Best regards from Australia 🇦🇺

    I own a sport glide and love it! I only put about 5500 miles on it last year, but it's done such a great job in all types of weather. Still very comfortable, but want to do a few things to make it more comfortable like taller bars and floorboards. The biggest draw back is definitely the cluster being on the tank and the stock exhaust. Other than that, great bike for commuting and long distance rides.

    Sold my 20 plate Sport Glide and like you went to Watford but to test ride a Road King yesterday which was awful. Just for the craic I took their Sport Glide demo out with Stage 1 and immediately knew I had to buy another one. So happy and can't wait to pick it up next week.

    I got a Sport Glide in 2020. I do good long weekend tours (1,000 + kms) in Australia and the bike is superb. I put a Mustang Seat on my bike and also gave it a Stage 1 Screamin Eagle Upgrade. 😎👍

    I bought a 2020 Sport Glide and I love it. I am 5’2” woman, 120 lbs. and had, previous to this, a 2017 Sportster 1200 touring. I love how well it handles, it has all kinds of grunt and loves the curves. I also loved that even though it is heavier than the Sportster it handles so well in parking lots and in the city while on the highway it puts a huge smile on my face. I did put a better windscreen on mine and I barely get any buffeting.

    I,ve just bought a 2021 sport glide , absolutely love it but the standard exhaust sound is way to quiet so I,m having a set of Vance and Hines big shots , tuner and breather fitted next week , can,t wait to hear and feel the difference .

    This is by far my favorite Harley-Davidson, mostly because I'm short and I feel that this would be similar in size to our Kawasaki Vulcan S and I love the color matched saddlebags. Well done.

    I recently got a 2021 Sport Glide and yeah, she’s an awesome machine! I would prefer to control the indicators with only one hand too but it’s not the end of the world, you eventually get used to it.
    Take care!

    2015 Rode a tricked out StreetGlide across America...an amazing ride. Wanted a Glide, but couldn't afford one... I am about to buy a '21 SportGlide...going for a test ride in a week or two....so maybe in March.... :) Thanks for the vid, brought back a lot of memories...must get around to doing a more professional edit of my vids.

      @@UncleRed Was an experience going through NY. Bike overheated, had to stop @ a bar to cool the bike & myself off for a couple of hours..then try find a way out through rush hour with spotty SatNav because of the Skyscrapers and then a mad rush to Motel in Pennsylvania. :)

    The indicator extension caps should come as stock but they're (relatively) inexpensive and should help in that dept. Yeah great bike!

    I’ve been lucky enough to ride Rochelle’s CVO Streetglide and a 2016 Road king. Loved both but the cvo is incredible. I’d love to try one of these.

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 2 lety +1

      They're surprisingly nimble for such a big bike and doing a long trip on one would be fab. Always worth a go. 🙂
      The Street Glide was never a chore to ride, even when doing 5+ hours of riding for a week straight.
      But properly knackered at the end of it.

    Would this be a good beginner bike? Let me explain, I have riding experience but on way smaller bikes, 200 CC's at most. I'm 5'5" (without boots) and weigh 195 lbs. I really want a Harley and because of my size and experience I was thinking about a sportster 883 but I'm afraid of outgrowing the bike too quickly and then being stuck to not being able to buy a bigger one even after selling the sporty, I would rather make a bigger investment that will long term work best for my financial situation. Would the engine size and weight of the bike be too much for me and even more for riding 2 up?

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 2 lety +1

      I wouldn't recommend it for someone new-ish to larger bikes.
      It's very forgiving in the controls, but I'd say try to find something around the 650cc range. Look after it, work on it mechanically, and move up later on when you're more comfortable. 🙂👍

      If I were to guess from Harley's shop, these look like the Rizoma ones. But I could be wrong!
