    Came across another motovlogger and they did a run down of the time and effort put into making videos for You Tube. He had a family, working a full time job and doing the videos on the side. You have to have a passion for it most definitely. You may want to throttle back on the number of videos you produce. One a week or bi-weekly would be a good goal. Hope you are able to spread the Sportster Sickness movement. They are great bikes and would like to see the movement grow and grow across the globe. Enjoy your videos.

    Loving your vids and great to see your effort to keeping the road safe for others so kudos to you. Just a note, please don't take this as negative but you stated switching to a better camera which must be using a flat type profile because, well the colour was flat and the footage seemed a bit choppy so frame rates may need adjusting. Just wanted to say because I love your stuff. The GoPro, if that's what you're using on your helmet seems more saturated and looks pretty good on youtube so that footage looks pretty sweet !! Thanks for the vids, keep 'em coming !!

    • @Motonewbrider
      @Motonewbrider  Před 5 lety +1

    • @robpullen
      @robpullen Před 5 lety

      Motonewbrider that’s what I thought. But the whole point of a flat profile is to colour grade after. For pure cinematic footage remember to keep the FPS at half the shutter speed. You probably already know this but thought I’d mention it. I’m gonna test ride a sporty soon. Maybe my dream of owning one will soon become a reality. Your Phat G is proper sick mate also. Love it !

    Dude if those pipes were black it would be just like watching someone ride my bike, I even have that air filter. If the Fp3 is still attached to the bike use the app to autotune it. After I did that you can hear the air filter gulping the air into it. The pipes only sound better as they get older. Oh and a possible cosmetic quick fix for your scraping incident, could be to wrap the pipes, for protection I would leave the heat shields in place in case they get scraped again. Thanx for doing the sport glide it's nice to see it coming together.

  • @fozman007
    @fozman007 Před 5 lety +3

    Anyone who takes the time to go back and clear the road for fellow bikers is pretty cool. As far as the Sport Glide is concerned now you've sorted the pipes and breather I'd personally be changing the bars next. I'm an aper myself but for this bike some chunky 'Z Barz' would like awesome and very different to what you usually see. Once you've eventually finished are you planning a paint job?

    Great Videos glad to now you are continuing, I have a sport glide 10 months old and 5 thousand miles . Quite a few mods including mid controls. It’s a shame you fitted an exhaust that restricts cornering as this a good handling bike that can be pushed into corners . My next project with the bike is to try to improve the rear brake performance.

  • @Al-jh9ie
    @Al-jh9ie Před 5 lety +3

    Would be good to keep a running £ cost in the description. I've a sport glide and just got a quote for £1.2k from my nearest dealer for a stage 1.
    Seems like some dealers have a very limited understanding of mods for the Sport Glide, so interested to see what you end up doing. So far I've got a screamin eagle slip on, then found out it's got a cat in it so it's quiet af. Just ordered a cobra 909, but honestly I'm getting the feeling I might end up full stage 1 just for the sound...
    Anyway keep up the videos and glad you decided to keep going on CZcams!

    • @Al-jh9ie
      @Al-jh9ie Před 5 lety

      So Cobra 909 came, keeping it, sounds really good. But I think I'll still go down the route of a different air filter and probably a fuelpak, both would be self installs I think as they are relatively easy.
      Anyway, interested to see what else you do to this bike as I might steal the ideas ;). Interested in mini ape hangers, but no idea how they might look on it, and if it would mean a re-wire of the handlebar gear.

    Might need to put wear pegs on if the pipes are sitting lower, they have got to be cheaper than replacing the exhaust guard Harley ref 50501135, as for next part of the project I would be interested in the panniers being worked on to give it some life just like Matt L did with his Sport glide in L A recently.

    I'd of preferred a black exhaust, however, more importantly you're going to need to move that license plate. If you watch around 7:25 you'll see the exhaust is fluttering the license plate, over time that won't be good. Also, did you add a fuel mapper? The V&H fuelpak has a darned good rep, without one you'll be losing power, and possibly damaging the engine.
    Edit: Just watched you ground the exhaust. That being the case my next 'upgrade' would be either 'hero blobs' on the footpegs or an engine guard to ensure one of those ground before the much more expensive exhaust. Protect your investment has to be the first rule.

    Good review mate but the Basani scrapes before the peg a deal breaker for me.
    I bought the SG. Love the dual nature. Fairing & bags get you to holiday, bike event, etc. One minute no tools takes em off & now your ready to cruise the strip on your naked bike. Bike feels light & nimble due to inverted forks updated suspension and newer lighter stronger frame.
    Also dig the tech; keyless ignition, cruise control, ABS, USB port, Daymaker LED headlight, no tools quick adjust shock for 2 up riding.
    The windscreen is a joke and the optional 5” only serves to buffet your face. But Gustafsson makes 5 different windshields specifically for the SG fairing.

    I’m 6’4 (193cm) so I chose the 15” (38cm) vented in dark smoke. Airflow around me is smooth & quiet no buffeting and the bike actually feels more stable at speed. My only other gripe was that the bags have no fold flat handles. I got to my hotel went to use my bags as luggage and went WTH?
    Stage 2 power cam, S&S 2-1 Superstreet exhaust, and dyno tune really bring the responsive power & proper H-D sound. Is available at bike purchase for 20 percent discount and retains the full 24 month unlimited mileage warranty. Best bang for the buck to me. CZcamsrs take one for a test ride you won’t be disappointed. IMO best of the softail line.

    Sorry but not a good exhaust choice. It may look ok without the bags but because the right hand bag isn’t as deep as the left side, it needs a pipe beneath to look ok.
