Out of all the you tube bike shows I've ever seen, I've never seen anyone go back to take a hazard off the road and think of other bikers safety..Good man..I take my hat off to you👍👍
Thank you for the videos and your hard work! Very glad you decided to keep doing CZcams. All your viewers appreciate what you do because you put your kind heart into it and it shows. I hope you never give up, you would be greatly missed. Thanks again brother.
Glad your sticking with it, I always look forward to your vlogs, and appreciate the hard work and the time you put into it. 👌 And a 👍 for picking up the log. Take care, ride safe mate.
Hollywood bars and pannier delete... 👍🏻 Glad your still with us!
Glad you're gonna stick it out man. As an American, I don't get to see Great Britain, much. I truly enjoy watching the rides you go on to see the world famous Ace Café and other places. I also love the customizations you do! Thanks!
Glad you're sticking with it, i really enjoy the content. The Bassani sounds really nice, but i couldn't live with it being the first thing to touch down. Definitely got to go with a bar swap next.
I'm really glad you are sticking around man. Love your channel so much. ....oh and I vote for the bars next episode 🤘😎
I’ve waited and awaited and finally. My sport glide is on motovlogger channels I watch. Can’t wait to see your content on the sport glide. It is going to be my first bike.
I've been sub'd nearly from vlog 1 and very happy you are finding the mojo again!! Anyone who just walks into Harley and they throw keys at them, there is an awesome relationship going on. Never take that for granted going forward as the avg Joe dreams of it....
Finally someone else that helps take debris off the road when it is safe to do so! You quite possibly saved someone else from a very bad day! Cheers!
Mark,
As you know we all get tired from the daily grind and don’t feel appreciated. We need your videos and insight. Please stick with it,don’t give up.We appreciate you.
Great to here your staying and your Mojo is intact. Like to see the bars changed! And I love how PhatG played out
Your content is great! I'm american so just seeing a different veiw on someone who loves Harley Davidsons from another country is refreshing. Keep up the great work. Vinal wrap those bags
This is the only bike build series I’ve ever been excited for.
Dude that exhaust is a nightmare! I can see that getting changed in the future! 🤣🤣👍
we don't want to loose you Moto........Dont feel bad taking a week or three out of CZcams every now and again.... Its hard enough with a full time job but to do these also.... huge pressure...... Just know how you are appreciated......
Great Work Mark ! Glad you're back dude, this channel certainly helped me, make the decision, to purchase my first Harley (2018 Sportster 1200 Iron) and Boy am I Glad I did. I just, haven't looked back :-) Its been Smiles for Miles, 5500 now since August :-) The Sportster Sickness site and Crew are AMAZING!!! So much enthusiasm and energy !!! LOVE IT !!! Keep up the Great work bud.
Super glad your staying on. I'd like to see bars next.....please.
When in doubt!! keep going we look forward to your vlogs fact!
I really enjoy your videos and I'm glad you're going to continue. Bad luck on the exhaust scrape. They sound great, but definitely something to keep in mind. Do they come in black? Bars next! Good job btw removing the tree debris
You know the sport glide has a lot of potential for custom work and it's one of those bikes that once you start, customising it it will turn heads.
Start with the bars and leave the viynal wrap for the last thing.
Lovin the vlogs...
Hey Marc, nice to have you back, but take care of your Self! The „dead-dinosaur-dude“ had a similar problem.
I Love to watch you driving your home roads!
Great video Mark and remember its just the Eagles said "You can check out any time you like,
But you can never leave!'. Legends don't leave they just grow a long beards. Keep it up . fraser
Love your channel Mark, literally it's my favourite. I'm particularly loving and have been looking forward to this Sport Glide customise series.
Seat and handle bar change next ;)
The stock seat just looks meh, what else can we do?!?? And the handle bars are fine, but let's do something cool and younger.
Glad your'e not quitting.People on T.V all over the UK don't get the world wide exposure that you do.Plenty of Aussies and others around the world watch your vids.Keep it up.
Glad ur still popping out the vids 👍
My 2p worth, how about a longer rear shock?
Might give you a little more ground clearence?
Glad you’ve stuck with the channel mate, been with you since Goldie, pace yourself, less is more !
Thanks man
Came across another motovlogger and they did a run down of the time and effort put into making videos for You Tube. He had a family, working a full time job and doing the videos on the side. You have to have a passion for it most definitely. You may want to throttle back on the number of videos you produce. One a week or bi-weekly would be a good goal. Hope you are able to spread the Sportster Sickness movement. They are great bikes and would like to see the movement grow and grow across the globe. Enjoy your videos.
I've had two bassani pipes. Both have scraped some times, there are scars for certain. Point is, don't worry, they're strong steel. You'll be cool.
If you go back and read my comments from part 1. We knew the pipe was going to drag, and I warned you to beware. Thanks for finally having the video proof. How about some bars (street slammers maybe) And go get a V&H Pro Pipe so you can really lean into turns and feel the pegs scrape and enjoy. Great Video!!
Glad your here to stay :)
Get some big apes on it! Great Vlog as always .
Hi Mark, first of all great job you're doing on here, glad you're staying. The next upgrade for the Sportglide. Take a look at Matt Laidlaws's vlog on the 2018 Road King Special Lucky Dave's Edition, the bars on that bike are sick. Is it possible to get those bars from the states, I challenge you.
Loving your vids and great to see your effort to keeping the road safe for others so kudos to you. Just a note, please don't take this as negative but you stated switching to a better camera which must be using a flat type profile because, well the colour was flat and the footage seemed a bit choppy so frame rates may need adjusting. Just wanted to say because I love your stuff. The GoPro, if that's what you're using on your helmet seems more saturated and looks pretty good on youtube so that footage looks pretty sweet !! Thanks for the vids, keep 'em coming !!
Cheers Rob. You're spot on, I use a flat cinematic profile for the canon m50 it runs at 50 fps. Appreciate the feedback though
Motonewbrider that’s what I thought. But the whole point of a flat profile is to colour grade after. For pure cinematic footage remember to keep the FPS at half the shutter speed. You probably already know this but thought I’d mention it. I’m gonna test ride a sporty soon. Maybe my dream of owning one will soon become a reality. Your Phat G is proper sick mate also. Love it !
@@robpullen yeah got that mate I use automatic mode because I'm lazy. Sometimes I just like to use the flat image. I do have the LUTs on standby though for post edit 👍
It’s a nice vlog Mark, as alway. My SG is at Sykes waiting for some powder coating and pullback T-bars. I’m curious what bars you’ll go for.
Dude if those pipes were black it would be just like watching someone ride my bike, I even have that air filter. If the Fp3 is still attached to the bike use the app to autotune it. After I did that you can hear the air filter gulping the air into it. The pipes only sound better as they get older. Oh and a possible cosmetic quick fix for your scraping incident, could be to wrap the pipes, for protection I would leave the heat shields in place in case they get scraped again. Thanx for doing the sport glide it's nice to see it coming together.
Anyone who takes the time to go back and clear the road for fellow bikers is pretty cool. As far as the Sport Glide is concerned now you've sorted the pipes and breather I'd personally be changing the bars next. I'm an aper myself but for this bike some chunky 'Z Barz' would like awesome and very different to what you usually see. Once you've eventually finished are you planning a paint job?
Great review, kept me interested, some sort of hero blob on the right side required methinks
Just keep going what your doing 👍
I'm Baaaack! Back in the saddle again 🤘
Great Videos glad to now you are continuing, I have a sport glide 10 months old and 5 thousand miles . Quite a few mods including mid controls. It’s a shame you fitted an exhaust that restricts cornering as this a good handling bike that can be pushed into corners . My next project with the bike is to try to improve the rear brake performance.
Would be good to keep a running £ cost in the description. I've a sport glide and just got a quote for £1.2k from my nearest dealer for a stage 1.
Seems like some dealers have a very limited understanding of mods for the Sport Glide, so interested to see what you end up doing. So far I've got a screamin eagle slip on, then found out it's got a cat in it so it's quiet af. Just ordered a cobra 909, but honestly I'm getting the feeling I might end up full stage 1 just for the sound...
Anyway keep up the videos and glad you decided to keep going on CZcams!
So Cobra 909 came, keeping it, sounds really good. But I think I'll still go down the route of a different air filter and probably a fuelpak, both would be self installs I think as they are relatively easy.
Anyway, interested to see what else you do to this bike as I might steal the ideas ;). Interested in mini ape hangers, but no idea how they might look on it, and if it would mean a re-wire of the handlebar gear.
A shame that pipe drags first instead of the pegs. I would have to switch that out, which sucks cause I really like the sound of bassani pipes. As far as next mods I would say bars next. Thanks for sticking around newb, I need my beachy head fix every now and then. Cheers.
I seen Sport Glide that someone put on mid-controls with Two Brothers two into one (LowRider pipes). Maybe install floorboards and a 5" or 7" windscreen. I think you should get a solo seat with rear fender rack. I can't wait to see what you do to the Sport Glide. Vance and Hines would be cool 😎. Maybe look to see what exhaust would give you more clearance.
Next mod? the first roundabout gave you a clue..... some decent suspension to raise that ride height so it corners, some mids too to warrant that 'sport' tag. Good work.
Love your channel, I really do enjoy it, and I'm glad you're not giving it up. Please do bars next for whatever reason the stock bars for the sport glide get my dander up, in the get rid of those ugly things category, far more than than is truly rational.
Legend suspension in the back! Go a little taller so you can throw that thing around more
Might need to put wear pegs on if the pipes are sitting lower, they have got to be cheaper than replacing the exhaust guard Harley ref 50501135, as for next part of the project I would be interested in the panniers being worked on to give it some life just like Matt L did with his Sport glide in L A recently.
Also thanks for carrying on the channel you assisted me in purchasing my first Harley last year with your reviews.
I really like your work, keep it up. The header pipes from Bassani are too low at the last bend in the front header (contact point) I would be going back to the HD headers with an after market muffler. for much better clearance on the right handers.
I’d definitely go for a change in bars bro 🤙🏾
I painted the bags Vivid black, the bags and Bike really pop out !! Do not go anywhere Motonewbrider !!!!
Looking forward to see what bars you fit as it is my next project, I went FP3, Cobra 909 slip on and Arlen Ness Big sucker, no problems with the exhaust touching, would like to see Holywood bars or some 6" T-bars, Keep it low!
Sounds exactly like what I'm heading towards. Did you self install?
@@Al-jh9ie Yes all very straight forward, I ran with the 909 for a while and to be honest don't really notice much difference in power since fitting the filter and FP3 although seems to do a lot more MPG and looks better.
Hеy, m8! You gotta go next on the handles or the wheels. And are you gonna black it out? I mean chrome is good, but not as good as all black IMO. and what about Vance & Hines? xD
btw what a view!!! love it.
its only £10 for the wear pegs to screw into the footrests, but to be honest i have found with the angle my feet are on
the footrests, its the heel of my boot that touches down first. so i just push my toes forward a bit when i know i am
leaning well over. i look forward to see what else you do to the bike.
Mark, how about a comparison vlog/blog TBR, V&H & Bassani all 2-1, that might be interesting ?
Twin front Disk Conversion would be good to see.
Did you sort the squeaky back break!? Just got a 48 and it’s doing exactly the same thing!!
I have the same bike and pipes, but not sure what make to use with FP3, also have stage II torque cam.
Not sure if it would have made any difference on exhaust issue, but the stock footpegs on my 2018 Sport Glide have metal studs that scrape pavement. They seemed to be missing on your pegs..perhaps they would have scraped first before the exhaust?
Also - hand guards (from Memphis Shades) look cool on these bikes!
cft podium mx handlebars with cross bar and like a 2 inch riser something like that not necessarily them bar but like them
Nice sound maybe I want to change at my sports glide thank bro for info tqvm alim Malaysian
It’s very important to at least enjoy your job the one that brings in the money that gives you a place to live. I take care of a school in a church I do just about everything here. Of course I do ride a 98 Fatboy . And I enjoy your videos very much you do a great job showing me a wonderful country as I live in another country.
Humbling thanks for that fella 👊👍
I'd of preferred a black exhaust, however, more importantly you're going to need to move that license plate. If you watch around 7:25 you'll see the exhaust is fluttering the license plate, over time that won't be good. Also, did you add a fuel mapper? The V&H fuelpak has a darned good rep, without one you'll be losing power, and possibly damaging the engine.
Edit: Just watched you ground the exhaust. That being the case my next 'upgrade' would be either 'hero blobs' on the footpegs or an engine guard to ensure one of those ground before the much more expensive exhaust. Protect your investment has to be the first rule.
T-Bars next! T-Bars, T-Bars, T-Bars! 😎
Shame the pipes scrape, TBR are higher so won’t bottom out for anyone into a 2 into 1 and sounds freakin amazing 👌🏼
V-H FP3 tuned ? If so I' m thinking that as my next purchase.
Was that the cliffs of Dover ?? I would say seat, man i found that seat hard when i took it out for a test ride this week end
Beechy Head fella
@@Motonewbrider just google map that area, are there lots of beach area like that ,and is that all lime stone ??
Form follows function but I think safety is paramount !!! I just don’t like scraping in a turn!!! 😎
@Motonewbrider, hey man what are those gloves? They're exact color of my jacket ;)
Sweet exhaust. Whats the brand of hip/thigh bag you have?
That's a cap fella. BOBHEAD UK BRAND
Please take care off the wheels. They look too small for this bike.
Don't like the cases either on the side. Is just not the right dimensions, I think.
The stock look will fit a women more than a men.
By the way, happy too hear that your will go on with the channel. I'm following you since the 883, and bought one because off the channel. And loved the 48! It was really cool. Haven't seen any better changed 48 ever since.
Will you do a vlog about the bike shed event in London?
Greetings from the Netherlands!
That bike needs Vance and Hines ! bassini is alright, but works best for sportsters. The SGlide needs VH, oh well it’s done. Bars and seat next
Just sold my 48 for one of these. Sexy times ahead. Still love the 48 though.
I love the Harley Sport Glide , but i would never choose that Bassani Exhaust... you choose a Sport in order to drive and bend into corners , why to change to Bassani and than scare all the time ...
either stay with the original or buy one that allow you to drive it as it was mend to be....or at the end better to choose the Fat Bob .... ???
Do you still have your Low Rider S?
Did Bassani ever get back to you about the system not being fit for purpose with that ridiculous lack of clearance?
So you can't go round right hand bends? that's useful , perhaps address that before any more mods ?👍🏻
Speaking to Bassani via email to sort this out 👍
That wouldn't have happened with V&H lol ;)
Lol I knew that was coming in the comments section.
I couldn't resist after you mentioned it lol @@@Motonewbrider
@@Motonewbrider Lol!!!
@@Motonewbrider I just put VandH big radius in my lowrider. My word they sound fantastic.
Bars bars bars.
Drag bars ma man, just like your low rider s bars. Change you system for V&H 2 into 1 competition or TBR comp s 2 into 1 .
10:14 ooh you hooligan lol
Should have gone with v&h lol
lol
Al
Not sure what kind of sound equipment you are using but that pipe sounds pitiful compared to a V&H Big radius. It may be just how its coming across on CZcams though. I enjoy your vids mate but I cant see what benefit it would be having that pipe on that bike if its gonna scrape on every right hander. Is there anything you can do to stop it other than ride slower?
U need to get the Fat Bob speedo cause I can't look at that stupid digital rev counter!!
Have you thought about a different fairing? Like a road warrior fairing.
I have but I'm not that keen for the sport glide. Loved it on my old dyna lowrider S though.
Bars and mirrors please Mark
Club style bars
Bassani or Two Brothers?
Top tip viewers... Sport Glide section starts at 6.20. Everything before that is a rabbiting Welsh man. You're welcome. 😊
back to the drawing board for Bassani ,scrape the pipe before the pegs
I really enjoy your videos. I'd be disappointed if you quit!
but was it 93 dead dinosaurs
Good review mate but the Basani scrapes before the peg a deal breaker for me.
I bought the SG. Love the dual nature. Fairing & bags get you to holiday, bike event, etc. One minute no tools takes em off & now your ready to cruise the strip on your naked bike. Bike feels light & nimble due to inverted forks updated suspension and newer lighter stronger frame.
Also dig the tech; keyless ignition, cruise control, ABS, USB port, Daymaker LED headlight, no tools quick adjust shock for 2 up riding.
The windscreen is a joke and the optional 5” only serves to buffet your face. But Gustafsson makes 5 different windshields specifically for the SG fairing.
bikescreen.com/products/harley-davidson-sport-glide-2018
I’m 6’4 (193cm) so I chose the 15” (38cm) vented in dark smoke. Airflow around me is smooth & quiet no buffeting and the bike actually feels more stable at speed. My only other gripe was that the bags have no fold flat handles. I got to my hotel went to use my bags as luggage and went WTH?
Stage 2 power cam, S&S 2-1 Superstreet exhaust, and dyno tune really bring the responsive power & proper H-D sound. Is available at bike purchase for 20 percent discount and retains the full 24 month unlimited mileage warranty. Best bang for the buck to me. CZcamsrs take one for a test ride you won’t be disappointed. IMO best of the softail line.
Everyone complains about the bassani shape scraping 😩 doesn’t happen with my V&H! Just sayin 😂
Lol
West Coast M X Bars. 10"
Bars Lucky Daves.
Black T Bars. MX foot pegs.
Sorry but not a good exhaust choice. It may look ok without the bags but because the right hand bag isn’t as deep as the left side, it needs a pipe beneath to look ok.
Bars. Maybe T bars
Factory 47 t bars
Apes!
