I never would have thought of using the deflation port to inflate this mat with the pump. I’ve only used my pump once with my rapide SL but used the rubber attachment and held it on the valve… which works but you can’t just leave it hands free. I was going to 3D print and adapter but I’m probably not going to bother now!
It's nice when you don't have to hold the pump in place, but to make a perfect fit I sanded down the large attachment with a fine sandpaper for the perfect fit. Thank for watching.
Thanks for the vid. I just finished blowing up my brand new Big Agnus Zoom UL. Took me about 5 minute with the sack as it was the first time I’d ever used one. I’m sure I’ll improve in time. But like you I immediately started looking for a mini pump. I could just imagine getting into the camp site after dark and a long day of backpacking. The thought of using the pump sack and my (I hope) much improved skill at using the pump sack, did not look inviting even a little bit. I now have seen the flex tail twice and am convinced it’s the one for me. I wish BA would offer a tiny pump, all they have is a new and improved pump sack that cost twice what a flex tail does.
The Flex tail has been working great, just for future reference, you might need to sand the biggest attachment for a better fit. Total worth the purchase.
To my suprise it should fit perfectly, the mat size is 1.27m W x 1.98m L and the Dagger 2p is 1.27m W x 2.29m L. However, it will not leave to much floor space in the tent.
@@paquetteadventures4120 wow thanks! Have you tested it in real life? Because I know dimensions on paper can be a bit diff in real life. If that is the case then maybe getting this for me and my husband would be the best option
After using the pump, I reattached the bag and added just a little buff to increase the firmness, but I don't think I was needed. Let me know if this helps.
If you are referring to the pump sack, I used the inflation hole and it was a bit tight. If it's the flex tail, I also used the inflation hole with the biggest attachment but I did have to sand it down a little for a better fit. I hope this helps.
The video is good but you placed the pump in the air out, I tried this and a load of air came out before i could close the valve, i was trying to figure out, the correct connection, which is the screw connection pushed like a big washer with a thread in into the intake then push the pump with the attachement you have used into this and it works, im going to super glue these connections together , shame Flextail, havent made a specfic connection yet, but thats a work around.
I did use the air out, however, I was able to use the air in after I took these biggest fitting on the flextail and slightly sanded it down so that's it was a perfect fit. Let me know if this helps. I wish I could post pictures to show you.
This vid is not really useful. It's for a floor pad, but mostly, he uses the the inflate bag in the comfort of his living room. Not his tent. I will not inflate a pad outside in the dirt. Just won't. To me, it's pointless and a detriment. The Flextail on the other-hand is wunnerful.
I also toss and turn a lot at night so i decided to fill up the Big Agnes pad and do a little test with my wife, I did a lot tossing and turning and she said there was not too much bouncing around. I did make sure it was at a firm inflation. I don't think your wife murder you at night.

Oh god. A zoom? I'm sorry.
I wonder if this will fit a diff brand 2 person like the Nemo
osmo dagger 2p

That's the dimensions from the web sites, we use 3p tent and we have approximately 12" on one side. Just enough room for our dog.
One question, did the tiny pump air it up to the same pressure as the bag? BTW, great video.
After using the pump, I reattached the bag and added just a little buff to increase the firmness, but I don't think I was needed. Let me know if this helps.
Hi there I have the rapide SL and couldn't get the nozzle to fit in the inflation hole. Did you pump in using the inflation or deflate hole? Thanks

Thanks, the flextail pump. The largest nozzle still a little small on mines have to hold it on.
Great video! That is a great pad. I have the Flextail pump and love it. New follower here. Crow✌️
Don't encourage this

Thanks for posting this. I’ve just got the flextail and the BA boundary deluxe and was having a real head scratching moment.

Thank you !!!!!!!!!! That's exactly what I said. He hasn't even used the damned thing so why bother making a video
Will my wife try to murder me because every time I toss and turn on this sleeping pad it wakes her up?

I have this pad and it does not make the bag of chips sound!
That is good to know, thanks.
Well, get rid of her
