Downsizing! Compact Sleep System with Big Agnes Rapide SL Sleeping Pad | Motocamping Gear Review

On my recent motocamping trip (the first for 2024) I decided to leave my trusty Helinox Cot One behind, and once again (for the first time in many years!) slept on a sleeping pad on the ground. 😮 I invested in the Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated Sleeping Pad as a replacement for my uninsulated Klymit Static V which served me well for many years (but not so good when it got colder). Not bringing my cot meant that my sleep system was now compact enough to fit in one third of one SW Motech Sysbag WP pannier! My Naturehike CWZ400 down-filled sleeping bag and Nemo Fillow Luxury Pillow round out my new compact sleep system.
Did this new sleeping pad live up to expectations and will I now leave my cot behind on all my motocamping trips? Check out how I made out on this first test!

I too have the Govee...works great. I like to know Temp outside also. I've found with the pads, you have to let more air out than you'd think. Found out the hard way after several nights not sleeping and discovered why...too inflated. I have that luxury pillow too plus another air one to have my arm over and takes up no room packed. I have a few Luci Lights..solar..collapsable which i LOVE and take everywhere with me all the time. I sleep also with a merino wool cap on my head. Great video.
