Here is an ALTERNATIVE way to get Play Store and Google Mobile Services on your Huawei or Honor device. It was created July. It's still WORKING and EASY.

👉 Please remember to turn ON the WiFi when opening the "G" icon app.
👉 "Just before adding the google accounts, change the date and time back to "automatically". Add the google accounts. Once that is completed, change the date and time back to 2018 and continue with the rest of the process. After everything is done and the phone restarted, change the date time back to automatically". Thank you very much, worked on first try. Needed to install again files 8 and 9 at the end, now it's OK. I also did the previous method before, but i gave a try to this one to have multiple google accounts and I'm very happy it worked !
EDIT : Actually first attempt failed, when trying to open google drive, it didn't open my files. Second full installation worked. Very important I think, at 20:13, if in device ID app, there is "unknow" written, re open the app and wait for a value to appear before you go to next step (open play store) otherwise error message will popup again and installation fails.
just need to wait for GSF to appear again then only open playstore?

Thank you. It works on Mate 30 after 20 over attempts - repeating step 8, 9. But after downloading a few apps from the Play Store, the error notification pops up again. And I checked the Google framework bytes, it went up to 500 over kb. So I uninstalled and re-installed the framework again. It works so far. But I experienced several times of notifications, so I wonder is there any way to prevent that from happening after using it for a while? Or if I can save the files in the phone, so I can I can use it when re-installing is needed again (which is when the error happens after using for some time)?

Someone left a comment, but the most important thing for me was the part where the once lost servers framework number (GSF) was re-acquired. It's part of 19:45
GSF is being re-acquired soon on video. And video advises you to wait about 15 minutes when it's not there. But in my case it took 3-4 hours. I didn't do anything unnecessary with my tablet until the GSF was obtained. All I had to do was run device id application and check for GSF.
Anyway the method introduced in this video was perfect for me !

I have the play store working, but is there anyway of getting the play protect certificate so the tablet will allow me to download netflix and HDR content please?

This is the only one that has allowed my P40-Lite to even sign-in to my Google account.
Now I am only struggling with alerts after step 9, so I will keep re-doing 8 & 9, until I get less than 320kb.

I am not getting any notification after launching the Google service framework. I have tried numerous times now and is stuck trying this method and the other one using the quickshort cutmaker. not one is working on the p40 pro. Is there a workaround for this to get the notifications please.

Hi after that i have installed google play and work can I update my emui at last software or I lose google play?

I followed this method a week ago and I got it working so fine until this morning it started showing up that the google login failed when I went to check the gsf it went high to 320kb when it's only 270kb when I finished this method a week ago. Going back after I saw that the gsf went high I immediately cleared the data storage so it went down to 250kb but when I go back to the device id the gsf number is set to unknown. What do i do now?
i dont recieve google service framework number after step 9 . i wait evrey time almost 30 minutes but nothing. On p40lite. Is there any trick to do?

Huawei P40 lite - After 48 hours of fighting and hundred attempt to reinstall step 8 $ 9 It finally worked. Few advices:
For me unfortunetely it did not work to only do 8 & 9 steps. I noticed that there was a cap above which kB did not grow. On first try it was above 600.
But I decided to do everything all over and it was lower this time, around 500. On 4th it was finally 307 :D
For me it helped to reset phone to absolute zero before starting.
Finally I think I made a mistake of updating something. For Rui it appeared after LZ since he wanted to prove that Wifi is needed, for me it was earlier and I updated it.

I get the G app but I do not get the option to activate google mobile services. I am using the Huawei Nova 7. I think the latest version of EMUI, which is on my phone, blocks the mobile services activation.

followed everything from head to toe. apparently the backup after uninstalled and install still at version .380 which it does not allow lzplay to open. keep getting pop up and once pressed. lzplay will automatically close.
Could you maybe show how to do this with HiSuite? I have a p40 lite and i cant get it to work with your other videoss/methods
Sadly, LZPlay doesn't work with the Matepad Pro. It gives an error about not being compatible
I've heard that resetting the device might help. But I'm not sure.
My matepad pro wifi do support tho

I keep getting the chinese error when I try to open the app. it says it's not connected to the internet but it is! I tried wifi, 4G and even hotspot...
Why is the last step 10 necessary? Worked for me until step 9 and then after installing the number 10 GMS i get the notification errors

the google framework is always going above 340 and after a while it jumps up to 600. even after hundreds of trials, it is still the same. Is it because I'm trying with Mate30 pro not P40 ???? please advice

it seems that we need to wait for new method. I try on P40 PRO and P40 and that notifications didn't pop up, multiple multiple times. I fighting 5h, and no result. Notifications they don't want to pop up..
previous method also...when I sign in, just spins to trying to sign in but when I install GSF, nothing happend. still spins to trying to sign. :((
yes, this is the same with me...if you noticed they dont't pop up because the phone isn't contacting with google services account, it's giving me an error to sync google contacts after add an account...something need to be done

At step 9 all is well. Once after that i uninstall google play services and then proceed to step 10, the messages keep coming. Then i redo step 8 and 9 till the play store opens up and then uninstall google play services and reinstall step 10, the messages appear. Have now done this for about 8-9 times if not more. Is this normal or any thing other than this i need to do. Really would appreciate assistance

The notifications never came in after I installed file #7. It is only when I clicked on Google Play Store that the notifications kept coming in. I proceeded with everything else but after installing file #9, the GSF number never appeared even after waiting for 30 minutes. Should I have waited for the notifications to pop up the very first time or is this meant to happen? I've tried repeating steps 8-9 for a couple of times, and have even reset the phone to follow exactly your steps but it's always the same case starting step #7. Please let me know if I've done anything wrong or should I really just wait for the notifications to come in? I heard on your video that you were surprised that they came in faster than you thought. May I know how long did you wait before this recording is done? I really look forward for your reply! Your video is great. I've tried many others but I always failed. I really want to make it a success story for once. :)
And now suddenly I keep receiving this "Error while retrieving information from server. DF-DFERH-01" message from the very first time I install file #7 even after I've restarted my phone and the wifi as well. It's as if Google detected that I've been trying for too many times. 😭😭😭
Okay after countless hours of repeating the same thing over and over again, I finally did it. I guess it's the GFS number in the Device ID that's the key after step 7. Unless you have that, do not proceed at all. I have reset my phone to factory setting countless times and I finally managed to get an ID as soon as I installed part #7. I was really on the verge of giving up but I'm glad I gave it yet another try. Thanks for the method again! :D

No meu caso, Huawei P40 Lite, já tentei o primeiro método mais de 10 vezes, correctamente, não consegui. Aparecem sempre notificações, e as poucas vezes, uma ou duas que consegui chegar ao passo final, a versão final do google services sem problemas, assim que instala começam logo a chover notificações.
Este novo método também não consigo... Assim que é gerado um GSF number novo e é permitido o acesso à playstore, o ficheiro ultrapassa logo os 500 kb´s! Nem consigo chegar ao último passo... Muito frustrante já tentei várias vezes vou continuar... Se souberes mais informações ficava muito agradecido que ajudasses. Obrigado

I have a "sync error" with all Sync Contacts when I add them : "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly". Noway to get rid of that !
And I have only one line : "Sync Contacts" but not a second line "All contacts details" to sync.
Then there is no notification at all, even when waiting more than 15 mn. And it is not possible to open Play Store. Please help.

Hi I have already installed the GMS using your old method. I would like to add a new google account. Is it possible to start from step at which the google play services is deleted or should i start from the begining.
Its perfectly working for me but I want to do it all again just to get my second gmail account.

Two of my P40 Lite are now have google services. Thx for the solution. I hade a problem to do this procedurę on emui 10 but after upgrading to 10.1 it worked.

Eventualmente pode tentar reiniciar o telefone. Tem que ter alguma paciência, mas também admito que três horas à espera que esse número volte é muito tempo.
Também fiz isso. E continua igual. Já tentei voltar ao passo 7 e contínua sempre a ficar igual
