It's production volumes. Apple make 20billion in white so it works out 3p per unit. They only make 200 in black so it costs 5p per unit to make. Same as why ladies pink disposable razors cost more than mens blue razors despite being exactly the same razor.
As ex apple employee, you literaly pay extra for the black just because is black. It cost apple little more to manufacture and they charge it little more than the white. Both of them are the same, same speed, precision, battery and ofc worst charging port location
Probably also because the white Magic Mouse has been around since 2007 so it’s RnD has been paid off where as the black ones are relatively new. Plus they used to be exclusive to iMac Pro’s /Mac pros.
Costs a little more (prolly around a quarter cent more per mouse), so they charge you a "little" more.

Plus the white mouse was bundled with every iMac from 2009 as a default or as an option in 2007. Where as the black one has only been around since 2019 and was exclusive to the Mac Pro. So not exactly a huge amount sold prior to being able to be purchased seperate.

this is not new nor exclusive to apple. if you search for ipad cases for example, you will see the nearly exact same case from the same 3rd party manufacturer selling for a higher price depending on the color. Apple knows people are willing to pay a premium for a better looking mouse, so of course they would charge a higher price for it.
