    Thanks for the tips, sir. Was always cautious of using ANYTHING with gas! This short video takes a lot of the fear out of the process-- especially the step in which you 'bleed' the remaining gas fumes out of the hose, once the tank is turned off. I appreciate your channel.

      @@Avenue77 LOL update we got it together and we love it...We use it to have fish fries when a few folks come over... Best tip we learned is "only use Peanut Oil"... it cooks perfect, taste better and won't burn up the food fast like other oils...it cost a lil more but we use it everytime we just get the big gallon jug from walmart...it last a good while. He not scared anymore. 😂♡♡ but I still won't light it lol..

    You should only crack your propane valve about 1/4 turn for safty. If something bad happens you want to be able to turn off the gas quickly and you gain no extra pressure by opening the valve past a quarter turn. Good video though.

    • @weldingandstuff
      @weldingandstuff  Před 5 lety

      Lorenzo Botello Fully opened is the only way to go, that way the valve back seats and less chance of a leak at the valve.

    • @sharkbiscuit3648
      @sharkbiscuit3648 Před 5 lety

      OP misunderstood your question. Go ahead and open up your regulator all the way to get maximum BTU's when cooking. The propane tank valve is supposed to be an open/closed isolation. open that up all the way and then adjust the gas flow with your regulator to get your desired flame. This is literally what the regulator has been designed to do.

    • @lorenzobto
      @lorenzobto Před 5 lety

      SharkBiscuit thanks for the reply! I ask because one evening I was doing. Seafood boil and had the regulator opened all the way and the hose ended up melting/busting near the connector. So I figure maybe it wasn’t supposed to be turned all the way open. Maybe it was just a cheap hose.
