They were different. Such samples may be characterized as 16th century Xianbei-Xiongnu, with admixtures of Persian Kangju. Their position corresponds to modern Kazakhs, Kyrgyz. Aka unified Trans-Baikalian tribes. While in Europe, northern Eurasia, in the civilized Tatar regions were preserved the profiles of the eastern Scythians - typical Saka, Tien Shan Huns, etc. Ancient in relation to these medieval nomadic Asians. It is not surprising that the horde immediately began to collapse, trying to recapture its southern regions.

@MongolPatriot The Jelair tribe, often ranked among the Mongols and believed to have been situated either south of the confluence of the Khilok and the Selenga or nearer to the Onon, may have been a Turkic tribe reduced to vassalage and assimilated by the Mongols at the time of the legendary Mongol hero Qaidu."
The same case and condition happened in Tatars and Mongols . But it does not mean that they have the same origin . If we examine the names of persons found in the genealogies of the Öngüt, Jelair and those Nirun clans from the Yuan Shih, it is really very clear that we can find the previous names had many Turkic origins and the last two have many pure Mongolian words.
The Jurchets attacked the Jalair tribe , a group , possibly of Turkish extraction , settled on the banks of the Kerülen , and wrought great carnage among them . Seventy Jalair families fled in the direction of the upper Onon , toward
Other tribes in the region included the Jalair, said to have originated as a band of Turkish refugees, who lived between the Merkits and the Keraits; the Onggirats in the far southeast; and the Ongguts, who at some unknown date had
The left or eastern flank was commanded by one of the Khan's greatest generals , Muqali of the Jalair . The Jalair is thought to have been originally a Turkish tribe , once defeated by the Mongols and strongly influenced by them .
He also speaks of the Khalkha Jalair . " * Notwithstanding this survival of the name among the Mongols , I believe that the Jelair tribe , wbo are frequently mentioned in the early days of Jingis , was Turkish , and not Mongol .
From this , says Zuev , it is possible to conclude that in the Orkhon and Selenga regions the Jalayirs had lost their Turkic ethnical features , and later appeared in the arena of Central Asian history with new ethnical quality .
