As someone who's into engines and tools and machines and motorcycles its crazy to me that I found your channel because of your video where you keep a grocery store lobster as a pet. I said hey that's interesting and watched it and said huh he was talking about jellyfish and stuff too maybe ill see his other stuff, then I said wait he restores old dirtbikes too? What?

Leon got me here. I love vintage MX bikes. My first was a 1980 CR80 when I was 11 and weighed 100lbs. I held on for dear life. I could smoke all other 80’s to the first corner and never let up.
Kaplan Cycles….another amazing channel keeping the 2 Strokes alive!
This seating position and the violent powerbands of these early CR’s is gonna be insane!!!

I normally rode it to school every day but in wintertime I replaced the rear shocks with ring-spanners to lower it so I could easily flat-foot it and ride it on the ice. When I was 13 I had a 1974 Kawasaki F11 250 that someone before me had pretty much converted to a strict dirtbike. I bought it from a neighbor down the street because it didn't run. I pulled the jug off to see the cylinder was badly scarred but my dad was a tool and die maker so he bored it out and got an oversized piston. I installed all of that and then saw it had no spark. Points and condenser later it fired on the 1st kick. That bike served me well for years afterwards.
