Sometime before Yakuza 6, an old Kuze and Han Joon Gi meet.
(On his usual rounds entertaining the guests, Han Joon Gi spots an aged man drinking alone. He didn't look or act like a normal customer, afterall no one drinks quietly in Stardust. This intrigued Han, who decided to approach the man, which he then found out who he was.)
"My... my... if it isn't the legendary former Tojo Clan boxer... I'm truly flattered that you'd grace my fine establishment with your presence."
(Kuze ignores Han and continues drinking)
"I am an avid fan of boxing myself, and I'm pretty curious about the Tojo Clan as well. So that makes me a big fa-"
(With a loud thud, Kuze places his drink on the table. Slowly lifting his head to the Korean host.)
"Look pal. I've got nothing to do with the Tojo Clan anymore... and you are bothering me. I want to enjoy this drink in peace."
"Of course... how rude of me. It seems like I didn't make a proper introduction. You see I'm the owner of this place, Han Joon Gi. Pleased to meet you Kuze han."
"..."
"You know I could get you something better than that sewer piss you're drinking, and a first class room for a peaceful drink, on the house."
"... You won't stop bothering me unless I take up your offer huh? Hmmph... Can't say I'd turn down a better drink and room though..."
"Of course."
(Han turns to the hosts, instructing them in Korean)
"Get me the 100 year brew and vacate the VIP room. I have a special guest. We can refund their losses."
(Kuze and Han then head to the VIP room.)
"That's some good shit... it's been ages since I've got to enjoy something like this."
"I see you're enjoying your drink. I assure you it was worth your while. These drinks are hard to come by. Only for the most special of VIP's."
"Hmmph. I guess it was... makes up for annoying me that's for sure... that said... I heard what you've said about the Tojo Clan. So that means you weren't treating me just for the sake of it. You want something from me, isn't it?"
(Han smiles)
"Oh you don't have to worry, it's nothing much. I just know of a certain man who dethroned you in your glory days. Kiryu Kazuma... is it right? You know anything about him now?"
"Kiryu Kazuma huh... You're outta luck kid. I left that life long ago..."
"What if I told you I've got a score to settle with Kiryu Kazuma? I know your feelings towards him. Perhaps we could work together?"
"Like I said kid, I've got nothing to do with that life or Kiryu Kazuma ever again. Now if you'd excuse me I should leave, and thank you for the drink."
"Such a shame. But why leave so early. Let's switch it up a lil'. I did say I was an avid fan of boxing, so how bout we talk about that."
"..."
(Han reveals the inner ring of the bar, showing two hosts fighting one another for the crowd)
"Impressive isn't it?"
"Didn't know you appeal to freakshows like this..."
"Ah, but it brings in good money. The ladies sure do enjoy it. So how bout this, we give these fine folks a show?"
"You sure are full of surprises aren't you... I'll take you up on that offer on account of that drink. But I'll warn you, despite my age... I can still kick your ass."
"And I would be most looking forward to see what my idol is truly capable of. Get dressed and I'll see you in the ring."

Sounds like it would take after the Ryuji story in Yakuza Online.
If I remember correctly, there was a canon storyline in Ryuga Gotoku Online where a fresh out from jail Kuze returns in 1999 and by instructions of Sera, he has the job of stopping the Jingweon along with Kasuga Ichiban, basically assassinating Ryuji Goda and a Jingweon recruit named Joon-Gi Han (which isn't the same Joon-gi from Y6 neither the YLAD one, BTW). Somehow the battle was interrupted by other forces. Long story short, they failed to kill Ryuji and Joon-Gi but they were spared nevertheless because during the situation, they all stopped a bigger threat.
@@DonVecta Slightly off topic: Maybe Yakuza Online's Joon Gi Han is the father/older relative/brother of Yakuza LAD's Joon Gi/Kim since they wear the exact same clothing.

This is 100% accurate, considering that Kuze was a pro boxer prior to joining the Tojo.
At this point, fuck it, give us a game centered entirely around Kuze. Dude is such a fuckin G, I’d love more screen time for the guy. RGG0 wouldn’t be as good if not for this demon.

Kuze: Yeah, I just had to lay low for a while. Old bones are still aching, hadn't had a fight in a while. Thanks for the opportunity to work them out once more.
Han: And thanks for agreeing to the fight; I always wanted to see how I fare against the legend Kiryu talked about.
Kuze: Heh, I can clearly see how much I inspired that kid. Anyways, let's get the show on the road. Don't hold back. HIT ME LIKE YOU'RE TRYING TO KILL ME!!!

*Kanto Underground Major Circuit - First Match*
In this universe, this was Daisaku Kuze during his prime. He was a beast in the ring and very few little people decided to challenge him. And the few who did ate dirt as soon as the bell rang.
Kuze, in an attempt to search for a strong opponent, hears of a new fighting league: The Kanto Underground Circuit. A league where the strongest people in all of Kanto are. As soon as the registrations are done, a determined Kuze steps out to the ring.
But this time, it was strange. The ring was in the middle of what appeared to be a nightclub. Kuze paid no mind to this, and waited till the match started.
We heard the crowd roar, and soon after that, a voice pumped in emotions yells to announce the match.
"People of Kamurocho, welcome to another edition of this ring we call... KANTO UNDERGROUND CIRCUIT!"
The crowd roars even louder.
"This place is where the weak go to die, just to be reborn like the phoenix and rise anew!"
"The fighters today are raving with heat and ready to fight in a millenium spectacle!"
"ON THE HEAD! A young man emerging from Korea, leader of a lethal mafia, he's a pretty killer face with even more lethal punches, he is... Joon-gi HAN!"
"ON THE TAIL! A new challenger that arrives from the deepest parts of Kamurocho! He's the judge of the ring, and his sentence for the enemies is death! It's... Daisaku Kuze!"
The two people enter the ring.
"Today's battle seems it's gonna be exciting people, so don't miss the chance to look at this, because it will not be repeated again!"
As soon as the announcer stops speaking, the two enter in conversation. The man in the white hair, Joon-Gi Han, starts speaking.
"My most humble congratulations for you to have made it past the elimination circuit. I must say... I am rather fond of what I saw in those matches."
"Tch... People like you love to be so pompous. In the ring there's never a chance to speak all your respectful bullshit, because in the ring..."
"The fist are the one to talk."
Joon-gi smirks.
"Very well... Then let's enter into a better suited conversation."
"I'm gonna go balls out here kid... SO YOU BETTER HIT ME LIKE YOU'RE TRYING TO KILL ME!"
"ROUND ONE - FEEL THE HEAT!"
A bell rings, and the two engage in combat.
*JOON-GI HAN*
