That was a great interview. or should I say chat between friends. Always loved Darryl as a Leaf and those great teams. Borje was the best, nobody got around him, not even Lafleur. Thanks for the memories Darryl and Gino, please do this again sometime and remind us of a few more great memories. God Bless
Another great interview Gino. As a life long Habs fan, I have always admired and respected Darryl Sittler. Pure class all the way.
Salming was an amazing player . He could skate, shoot and hit. His hockey IQ way above most of d-men back in 70-89’s . He was in the same class of Orr, Robinson, Savard, Potvin, Park, Savard. Best d-man in Toronto history. Horton was great player but Salming was a better athlete. RIP Mr. Salming.❤️
This was another great interview. There was one game in particular that he played in 76 when he ate The Bruins alive when he scored 6 goals ans 4 assists for 10 points what a game that was.
what wonderful show mad respect for sittler and his amazing career and the respect he has for salming
Darryl Sittler and Bobby Clark where my favorites growing up in the 70,s playing Hockey. Hats off to you MR HOF . Thanks for the memories
The exhibition game between Team Canada 72 vs Sweden where Wayne Cashman got cut you’ll see a tough game and the star was a number 5 Borje Salming. Full 2nd game on CZcams.
The guy Set the example for the Swedes that they belong in the NHL
this man was a tough, skilled , great player. He had it all. I consider him one of the best players in NHL history and one of the top 4 centers of the 1970's. He went on to have productive years with the Flyers and I can only imagine if he and CLARKE had played on the same team together in their primes. Very similar , smart, two way, amazing players with brains, heart, determination and leadership. Salming was one of the best defenseman of all time and he could have played in any era. Was sometime overlooked because Potvin, Orr and Robinson played on better teams but he was an enourmous talent and he played tough as well.
Here is a fun fact, the NHL went looking for the tape of that game, the 10 points, is went missing, Darryl had the guy take it and give it to him, he has the original game taps stashed at his cottage , it's the property of the CBC .
i love these interviews, thank you Sir. Any chance we can get Billy Smith on ?
