I've always liked the two-dollar bill, but I never realized just how pretty the reverse side is. There is a lot of detail in the image that is printed there. I'm going to start using two-dollar bills to pay for everything.

Years ago I would regularly travel to Montreal Canada and stay at a swanky hotel. I always made it a point to tip the valet with $2 dollar bills. I was well known by that crew because none of them had seen one in Canada and all of them wanted them.

That fw is that called a branded note because I got the Texas two step currency set from the bep and they called it a branded note
I'm not sure what the Texas two-step set is, so it's hard to say for sure. But the fw could be what makes it a branded set, since notes printed in Washington, DC don't have any markings like that. I will have to look that up! I have not heard of it.
I have a2013 San Diego and printed in fort Worth.. I have light pink letter mabe and I can make out a six..I heard you used older money to make 2013. I also read there was some stamp with chinse writting that is not what's on my bill.. any ideas.. thank you

It’s funny to see that much currency made but the perception is they’re rare. If the government put as much effort into circulating twos as creating them it would be different. But it’s not their job. People need to stop putting them in their drawers and use them. On the other hand as a society we’re using coins and paper less and less so it is what it is.

Coin stores probably sell them. Unfortunately the key word is sell. There’s most likely a charge involved. But the hyperlink to you’re comment is probably good. But some ppl like to actually have the transaction face to face instead of the internet. So I’m told.
Banks refuse to order me $2's, I would use them all the time for all purchases but they refuse to order, same for dollar coins which I like also.

Nine different times, $2 bills were ordered by the Federal reserve and more were printed. Nine different batches of print orders.

@@OldsVistaCruiser It's unlikely. They did print more in October of 2018, but that was either a 2018 or 2019 series (haven't confirmed). They printed bills in 2013 and again for the next few years, but all of those were series 2013. So the math doesn't add up for there to be a 2017 series.

The series number only changes when the signatures on the notes change, and tend to (but not always) reflect the year that the current presidential administration started. Instead of a Series 2019, it would either be a Series 2017 or Series 2017A. Series 1976 $2 notes are a notable exception, as Series 1974 was the main series for the notes issued during the Ford administration, and Series 1977 and Series 1977A were Carter bills. Reagan had 1981 and 1981A.
