GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
You absolutely nailed it with this colour combination - that's a definite 5 from me!!!👌
I’m not a red car guy but my brother you made that look good! My favorite so far has been the orange you did. Great video
Yea red isn't my fav color that's why I don't spray it as much but this was very cool
@hanknipper3921 agree100%
I give this one a 4. Looks great. God bless you and your family. 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'd say a 3 to 4. It kind of has an orange tint to it at times. Try yellow with a blue in the clear.
You just helped me find a color for my Oldsmobile. I use Rust-Oleum all the time. Gotta go back and watch video on information on that pearl clear coat you used. Looks good bro
Rustoleum grey with a white sparkle ghost pearl over the top would be a good color. I have done massey furgeouson grey with that pearl on top and it looked phenominal. Would make a very popular video.
Can't wait to see it man! I'm actually looking at spraying, an old Lincoln ideal arc welder with safety red. Then trying some of your pearl in the clear.
5 it was awesome and I'd like to see something similar to tuxedo 🖤 black
Hey man, mask up. Great channel. You spray so often. Its important!
This would be cool with some big gold flake stripes of some sort
I would like to see sail blue with a silver flake or a bluish flake 😊 thank you
I liked this one a lot, maybe the yellow one a little better. I've been liking the videos, makes me want to paint something.
Love the color, wish I could see in person. The fender looks textured on film
In all honesty, that fender should eventually be taken back to bare metal, as paint builds it will eventually look like it has a texture. We are seeing what the colors come out like which is what this channel is about.
Yeah this is actually the second time around I already stripped it completely down one time just trying to show you guys different cool combinations without you having to spend the money
Do a redwine to bone white blend. Bottom redwine and bone white on top! I saw that nice blend on a 2002 Silverado back 16 years ago when I was in highschool
This one turned out my favorite by far. I love colors....or effects that really stand out as something has been done and different. If I'm going up put in all that effort I want people to notice lol. Crazy color or crazy effect.
That turned out pretty cool, I’m not positive I would use as many coats. Still great!
This Color is fire! Because you asked, I would like to see a recreation of the Mitsubishi Kawasemi blue metallic from 2009-2024. Looking to paint my rig and if you come close, I would do it. Grey or black primer? To start.
Not bad at all! Red is a tricky color, so I'll give this a 4. Thanks for the time that you put in.
5 for sure and I think a green base with yellow pearl would be cool to see and keep up the good work.
Looks nice...at first it looked like orange peel or texture rather than the flakes, but then at a different angle you could see it was the flakes. #5.
Another one knocked out of the park!
Nice!
very good job
Looks great
Any chance you can spray this pearl over a gold or Champaign base color please? I’m wanting to do like a champagne body color on my Coach and I want to do a pearl or something over top and I think the champagne base with the champagne pearl over top would be a gorgeous base and then do burgundy graphics with a fine black pinstripe around all the colors. I sure would appreciate it if your able to do that John, take care buddy!!!
Love it
Hey I would like to see a brilliant blue with a green pearl
That would be an interesting effect… almost a changing teal
3.5
I have a black car and want to see a black cherry pearl over black, thanks
That would be gorgeous and I’d like to see it also!!
🔥🔥
How bout regal red or apple red with like a cherry pearl
Wonder how it would look with a matte clear
You make good instructions videos. And I need your help since Rust Oleum is right down your line.
Question: can I apply epoxy or polyurethane paint over Rust Oleum automotive primer?
Urethane paint yes as far as applying epoxy over the primer you might wanna try a small test panel with that first just to make sure the epoxy doesn't eat into the primer. I've done a bit of carbon fiber work with epoxy and it can be finicky over various bases. Hope this helps and Thanks for watching
4 by the way
Looks great! How would that look over a midnight blue base color? Also, would you spray two coats of clear over it if you were painting a complete car?
Yes I would seal everything with two coats of clear thanks for watching
I would like to see a two tone white and hunter green with a ghost green pearl shot over both. Looking at painting a 1979 jeep wagoneers with those colors.
I’ve got a 91 Wagoneer myself brother. I had an 85 & an 87 I just sold this past year but I’ve had the 91 for 16 years now and I’m gonna keep that one
Champagne over lime Green

3.5
What about like a grabber green with like some kinda green pearl like antifreeze gree
The Synergy Green which was the 2018-20 or so Camaro green with a green pearl would be neat to see. Or even with a silver or white pearl over it would be incredible too!!
@@1982MCI yeah. I like that color as well. Couldn't remember the name of it. I like the green that was similar on the newer model viper as well.
I'm curious how much the colors underneath could be affecting the new outcome each time on this fender??
It's only affecting the texture I know everyone keeps mentioning the orange peel but the Rust-Oleum is paint and primer built in one so the colors are accurate thanks for watching
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS awesome thank you. Yeah I figured as much on the texture and was one of the few who didn't take too much from that. I've done many spray can projects especially wheels so get that for sure.....forgot it was a 2 in 1 so that makes sense. Love watching your projects and full scale. Keep it up!! I work at Napa (amazing discount) so using your videos to make a list of what to pick up for when I go full scale on my car this summer.
Can I use speedokote over rustoloeum out of the can? Duplicolor clear doesn’t like it just found your channel
Yes I've never had any issues with any Rust-Oleum products with a urethane clear over top just as long as you wait for it to tack up good before you apply the clear
Duplicolor is not a urethane, its lacquer which is why it’s reacting with the rustoleum. Lacquer is not compatible with enamels or urethanes, epoxies, etc, unless it has been fully cured and I’m talking about a few years, not weeks. The best thing to do tho is to not even try it in the first place cause the chance of it failing or reacting is almost 100%. Duplicolor is just a bad paint to begin with tho
What clear did you use and how long did you wait to spray over the Rust-Oleum?
I recommend the speedocoat urethane 2K clear if you click the description for my video it takes you to my Amazon as seen on CZcams page and you can buy it there it's pretty cheap it's the best I found for the money and works great with Rust-Oleum paint jobs I wait till the paint is tacky but it doesn't pull off on my finger touch the tape in multiple places and as long as it doesn't pull off on your finger and it's tacky you're ready to go to the clear thanks for watching
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS thanks.
What is it about Rustoleum that there is always OP? I use it myself and can't get rid of it if I shoot Rustoleum
Well this is a bad example honestly I didn't get the fender perfect before spraying as this is just a test spray out but with it properly thinned and your gun dialed in you should be able to get very minimal to no orange peel thanks for watching
@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS Like your Work young Man! Keep it up. 💯
I will definitely give it a 5. I looked in the. Amazon link for the Champagne Pearl by itself can't find it that way can you help me out with a manufacturer for a part or color # or something like that. Really want to try this
BTW Great video. You've come a long way from your first video. Great job❤
Unfortunately it only comes in the sample kit for that exact color but if you wanted to do it full scale then 2 to 3 kits would be plenty enough pearl to paint a whole car. Thanks for continuing to watch 😎👍
Eye candy might have a similar powder to this
Eye Candy has some decent stuff also look into didspade KP pigments and dip your car they have the biggest selections I've found.
It was fine when the paint was tacky. Went to put a second coat it when it wrinkled
What kind of paint and clear combination did you use?
It was rust oleum gloss black in spray can and duplacolor clear it was just a mirror wet sanded it. It’s ok now
the pearl looks awesome, is it me or is just the regal red look very orange peely? the finish looks very rough. i know its just a test fender but i kinda want the paint to float out better
It's the fender it's just been coated so many times were due an upgrade lol
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS so is this just a spray and done or do you still get orange peel? Do you cut and buff these fenders before taking them outside to show them?
Just a spray and done showing different color and Pearl combinations for everyone I have many other full paint jobs on my channel everything from automotive paint jobs Rust-Oleum colorshift paint jobs and simple $60 Rust-Oleum paint jobs check them out and thanks for watching
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS I have been watching them all I subscribed as well. I want to spray my drift car Nissan 240sx and I’m looking at the rustoleam paint jobs you do with flake. I’m new to painting so I wanted to know if orange peel is apparent with the rustoleam paint job. I’m guess it is. I’m just trying to get a general idea on what’s needed to do a full paint job
@@DannyR2681 it's all in the prep I'm sanding this fender just as a demo to showcase different color combinations so I might not always get the surface 100% before every spray out. As long as you have you surfaced prepped right with 400 to 600 grit before paint thin it so it isn't too thick and have your gun dialed in correctly you should get a fairly decent finish all the same. You can always go back wax and buff it for a perfect finish but since this is only to showcase color combinations im not taking every spray out that far. Thanks for watching
