I just discovered I had this issue and going to replace it this weekend. I mapped out all my wiring and with no power at the ignition key or at the starter relay input this would be why as the red wire here runs up to the circuit breaker and then over to those two items so I am sure this is it. Great visuals on the video to show this!
You say it's on the alternator, but it's not, it's on the starter solenoid. I have lost volts at the helm so am looking into this fuse, just trying to get access as it is not easy to get to!
You are correct, surprised I didn’t catch that. Thank you and I will change the video. It was very hard to get to. You have to do it all by feel after sticking your camera in there to see what it looks like. You should be able to feel if it’s burnt or not.
I know exactly what blue mine I don’t leave my boat running when there’s kids in it and my friend left it running. I accidentally tried to start it twice while it was already running. 😂😂😂 once I turned the boat off it would not start again replace the fuse. Everything’s fine don’t start your boat when it’s already running. 🤣🤣🤣
Here is the link for the 90 amp fuse. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000N9LM6E/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=watersideoutf-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B000N9LM6E&linkId=51251acadac6b0d5dbd2dc9e2a9be757
It’s located on the starter motor, not the alternator. Good video though 👍
Thanks for a great video. Helped save me a bundle of time
georgethebear1812 Glad it could help. I’m on the second season after and sill have not hand any more issues with.
is it possible for the engine to start and still run if this fuse is blown?
That would be the starter my guy
