A tragic being is khorne, the war in heaven corrupting his psyche to be reduced to a maddened killing machine most of the time...yet....his honour still lingers here and there....infact, he even allows those he *really* likes to use psychic abilities should they use them for proper combat (GW please fucking let us have a blood pact army one day) in the form of gore mages. Because of the war in heaven throwing all sense of justice and honour out the window, he was arguably the very first of the main 4 abstractions on the spectrum of chaos that make up the big 4 to get "assholified" (as I've called it) in avatar space, which would make sense because there was NO standards in a war that warranted reality altering super technology fucking things up literally every battle that there was during the actual conflict, let alone all the innocent species that died while being defenceless.....

Imagine a faction of Khorneite space marines who join Khorne because they see him more as a god of honor where the Emporer has none. Thus they represent the purest form of Khorne. Whenever they fight their enemies, they fight them head on with simple weaponry (no chain weaponry as they view those as archaic and unhonorable) and only fight those they deem worthy. Because of this, Khorne favors them greatly and lets them keep their mental facilities, doesn’t turn them into demons, and offers them great strength.
Yea, but then they're just guys that are pretty chill it takes away a lot of the bite and what makes them interesting if there's nothing wrong with them

To bring up Hal's point of tzeetch being more lovecraftian, I'd say each of the chaos gods are very lovecraftian in their own ways. Tzeetch is just more existential a bit because of hope, which is very Neiztcheian idea. While slannesh is the diving into an adyss of depravity, hellraiser style. Nurgle is the nihilistic surge of unending entroy to oblivion. And Khore is the unending need for brutal warfare, similar to the tower in tarot cards.
Colin anyone who looks that similar to Senator Armstrong is a 10 in my book

2. Skarbrand stabbed Korn in the back after being manipulated by Tzeentch, an act that enraged Korn not just for the betrayal, but that it was a dishonorable backstab rather then an honorable challenge. That's what lead to Skarbrand being yeeted and getting his face and wings messed up. ✅✅
3. Kharn The Betrayer is his champion and Angron is his Primarch ✅

Slaanesh (which is stupid, it SHOULD be Tzeentch, the sneaky, indirect magician who values knowledge, plots and scheems with Nurgles removing of all pain and endless stagnation being the inverse of Slaanesh's hedonistic search for more new and exciting forms of pleasure and pain) with the rivalry being that Slaanesh drags things out, prolonging the kill and revealing in the art of death rather then mass slaughter and endless killing and skull taking. Korn is also honorable, demanding his warriors be driven and dedicated where Slaanesh reveals in self indulgent pleasures.✅✅

I got myself 14.5 points an that's with without ever playing Total War Warhammer.
Gave myself 0.5 points because I put Tzeentch over Slannesh in terms of Khorne's rival, but I just wasn't sure.. Because you know.. Scheming cowardly magician.
Also gave myself a point because I thought of "The Great Blood Lakes" instead of "Rivers of Blood" or "Lakes of Slaughter"
Also, if Colin's pancreas ever works.. He should change his name to Pancreasnowwork.

When you think about the worst of all of the dad's in the Warhammer franchise, you have to give Khorne some consideration. He would rather play Wishbone of Destiny with Slaanesh over Khaine (though they might actually be cousins, or nephews, or brothers, or whatever) using him as a wishbone rather than rescue him so he can fight him later or whatever. Maybe that isn't even lore or I'm misremembering lmao. They probably only metaphysically father and son anyways.

Why does Pancreas hate Brettonia so much? I never played fantasy so I don't know the first thing about them.
I think it's lore reasons not saying that the Lore is bad in anyway they worship an elf who they thought was a human are the wood elfs door mat they abhor any technology except for horse and the peasants are treated badly but my biggest guess is that they fight the empire on a few occasions
