- For today's Warhammer 40,000 Pub Quiz the Lorecrimes team will be quizzed on the Primarch of the Iron Hands: Ferrus Manus.
Andy (@TheRemembrancer) shall be Quizmaster whilst Eli (@DeadliftsForTheDarkGods), Colin (@pancreasnowork9939) and Hal (@TheAmberKing) will be tested on their knowledge on the Gorgon.

You didn't even mention the best part about Lorgar getting his weapon.
When ferrus gave it to the Lorgar, Lorgar said "one wonders that you are capable of kindness", and ferrus just deadpan replies with "one wonders that you are capable of anything" and fucks off.
I love how it's the most begrudging act of gratitude from Ferrus, Lorgar tries to be friendly in his condescending way by showing interest in what Ferrus is doing by remarking if he wonders if Ferrus would ever make anything that isn't a weapon. Ferrus barely even acknowledges him as he replies that he wonders if Lorgar would ever make anything worthwhile at all.
There must have been maybe four primarchs who were actually well liked by any of their siblings with those being Sanguinius, Horus, Magnus and Vulkan (shout out to Perturabo for defending him to Fulgrim).
Fulgrim did nothing wrong. Ferrus just spontaneously decapitated himself.

40k was so wildly different in the early 90s. It seems Orks are the only faction to hold on to some of that spirit
It doesn't help that their main battle barge is called the "fist of iron"
Is it better or worse that Corvus Corax's name just means "Raven Raven"

The 90s was a time when one liners and stuff we would just generally consider campy or cheesey now was just fully embraced to the nth power.
Ferrus manus was always meant to die, but then the Horus Heresy series started getting written and he dies in book 5, and then it decided to run for like 50 more books so he kinda got left out.
If they made it say, book 10 (or made a great crusade series) I think he could get some love like Jaghatai did.

Time to hear about good ol Ferrus 'Iron Hands' Manus, I hope we get to learn if he has iron hands in the difficult section

With the return of demon fulgrim, really hope we get some justice for the iron hands and ferrus/legion of the damnd. They are incredibly underrated and underrepresented. Add to that, there is a literal God of technology introduced into the setting, and the irons hands are taking no part in that event. Like what ?????

I remember a story where the Emperor meets Corvus Corax and tells him that he has brothers, Corax gets excited by this and asks how many and the Emperor replies sometthing to the effect of "19 although two are gone now, but that is a story for another time." so this implies to me that corax was the last primarch found before omegon but this took place before they were expunged from imperial recoed as the Emperor was willing to mention them and we know that the erasure of the two legions from record took place after omegon was found.
Late reply here but isn't it interesting the 19th and 20th Primarchs were the last ones found? Nice of the chaos gods to be considerate like that when distributing the pods.
Even later: Not sure if I buy that implication, after say the 4th/5th primarch being found and the legions already being numbered, Big E is simoly stating temhe number that is essentially common knowledge.
No idea if there's a canon placement for this, but the inference "all others were already found" over "there's 20 legions, every legion has a primarch, so 20 primarchs" doesn't solve it for me.
