thats correct, not specifically in this meseta, where angel falls are located which is called Auyantepuy, it was in another one further east close to the venezuelan border with Guyana called Kukenan or Matawi Tepui given its indigenous name, check out @caribeorinoco on IG, they post some interesting content about these table top mountains. cheers

Angel Falls got its name from Jimmy Angel, who crashed his plane on the tabletop mountain, or tepui. The local indians name for the mountain is Auyan Tepui, which ironically means Devil's Mountain. In the Bible, the Devil is a fallen angel (Lucifer)... A case of life intertwining myth...... As for me, I was born less than 100 miles from Angel Falls, in the small, ol mining town of El Pao, Edo. Bolivar, about an hour's drive south of Puerto Ordaz. To my chagrin, we moved away when I was a child so I never got the opportunity to visit the falls, though my half sister has. It is my dream to return to my native Venezuela to make a pilgrimage to this beautiful place. Maybe I can return my mother's ashes there....

It's one of the rare places on earth that inspires me more than its landscape, as if this place had stood still for hundreds of millions of years, since the Cambrian. In doing so, it would have been an important cradle of life as we know it on Earth.

It can also be a very extreme sports activity and most importantly it can produce very attractive and aesthetic sports photos. Hopefully the rock climbers will be more careful and safe so that unwanted things do not happen.

Some people like the rush, the thrill bc death can happen with any mistake. Me, I like to be on solid ground, were I don't die from being clumsy.

I can assure you god had nothing to do with it, at least not your god. It is said Parekupa-meru, the Pemon name for Angel Falls, comes from the Pemon words kupa meaning "deep water", pare meaning "more", and meru meaning "waterfall". Together they could be translated as "waterfall of very deep water".
The serpent god created all the mountains and goddess created the people, this is to be taken metaphorically.
Angel Falls are the most beautiful of all. Although named in honour of Jimmy Angel the American aviator, they are aptly named because they are a touch of Heaven on earth. Thank God, this park has been made a national heritage site, otherwise the developers and mega wealthy would claim it. It’s unique, pristine beauty must be preserved at all cost. 💦🌈💦

I visited this area in 1996. This clip - though very impressive - falls (no pun! ) into the trap of s-l-o-w motion footage with clear editing , no worry as to whether you'll achieve your target. I wish things could just be shown as real ie normal speed motion , no music soundtrack other than the natural sound ...which would be awesome anyway !!
