Girl please do it. I love watching doll face trucker. She's a single mom. Check her out. I love her. My husband's in trucking. He was actually a Tri-State manager of mud oil and gas. A year before the you know what hit. His company was purchased out, lot of men lost their job.
My husband was quite devastated. He worked his way up. He was good at what he did. He used to be a professional photographer. Until we moved up north when he was a big fish and a big sea to a little pond. That's how he got into mud oil and gas. Did extremely well.
When he came home he was panicked. I've always loved trucking. I've had friends growing up with their fathers were in trucking. And they lived very well. And I used to think to myself wow, you're comfortable. What's your parents do? Mom at home Dad and trucking.
if you have someone to help you out and watch your children. Oh my dear you can make a lot of money. And I'll be honest with you, every 3 months go out. Do not do the I need to go see my babies. Work. Save.
I did a lot of research in trucking. I found that I like prime it was a large company. And I read that if you're good at driving and you do very well you can get into training others. My husband is an awesome teacher. He's also from a big AG family. the tractors and trailers that man has worked I knew he would have no problem working a truck and trailer. I did the research, handed it to him and said darling you're going to become a trucker. He said are you kidding me I said no. you've traveled for your photography you traveled a lot for your job and mud oil and gas. This is a way that you can work your way to retirement.
We're up to 90k in our savings, we won't touch it. It's in a few things in the market and in metals. And we have a comfortable savings. And we own our home. And we own our cars.
Darling do not buy new. Save up and buy it out right. In training you make a heck of a lot more money. And guess what, we need more women trainers. So, there's a lot to learn in trucking. Pay attention and ask questions.
The most difficult thing, is knowing and learning your time. Which is extremely important. And some trainers, are terrible. Trust me speak up. The company needs to know. there have been trainers out there that hadn't even trained their students on backing up, to drop their load, at all. Unbelievable and shouldn't ever happen. And no one should be getting their CDL without being trained first. You go out for a few weeks and you train with them. And you drive with them. Before you can actually sit in that seat all by yourself. schools that just hand you your CDL and let you back up a little bit and hook up and back up. No no no no. Do your time. Do the training it's well worth it. It's your life another lives on the line.
Get this. My husband was calling one of the fellas that was his employee he hadn't talked to him for a good year and a half. They were hunting buddies. Since the KU flew happened he wanted to say hi. Apparently that was the work phone. My husband's old boss answered the phone. dreading what is going on within the gas community now. Having everything upon his shoulders from a conglomerate group that is calling the shots in Scotland for that matter. This poor man he suffering so bad. the manager said I can't imagine with you losing your job in the market of the gas Tom I'm so sorry you must be doing terrible. My husband said I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude but I know how much you earn I was the manager of the tri-state area. I out earn you by 15,000 now. And climbing. Which means he's making 50 more than he was before. Yes we're not getting the check from Biden. He's made that much money. I'm so proud of him. And it was so cute how he smacked that manager back. How dare you. I don't think so why would anybody even want to bring up money like that. It was kind of like a smack in the face. Well touche. đŸ€ŁđŸ‘‹đŸ„Ž
What's really good while you're on the road. Having a refrigerator, and eating well. Don't eat the crap on the road. When you get your own truck. Walmart TV tray, camp gas stove, with little gas cans. And a pan that's easy to clean. girl you can make steaks you can make chicken you can make soup you can make anything your little heart desires. And you can eat well too. On and off day that you know that you're comfortable your showering you get to be in a comfortable spot. Cook for the week. Sit down and relax. Enjoy.
Prime if you do not have the money to get there, they will get you a Greyhound bus ticket. Their facilities are very nice. Especially for a trucking school. You get three meals a day. shower and they have facilities to wash your clothes and trust me it's not expensive. They keep everything at cost. And you earned $500 a week. So that you are making something. If you don't have the money to purchase your CDL right away. A lot of people say don't do that but are you kidding me. Where we sit now. I'm so happy he didn't pay for it right away. Cuz trust me that money went to our bills.
I hope you do get into trucking. It will change your life love. I mean it. Get excited. Your life will change I'm not joking. You can do this. Your will is your way. Vroom vroom

Decked tractors...you have to tighten up the J Bolts and attaching hardware every so often, she mentioned 3 hours or 150 miles. Once you get to your delivery, you have to undeck them and stick the axles back in. Some places call a wrecker to lift them, other places have chain hoists....some of those are indoor, some are outdoors. And you have to deal with the weather. They use a device called a "Silver Slipper" to transport tall tractors, ones that don't have removable roof panels. When undecking a Silver Slipper, you are going to crawl around on the ground disconnecting the straps that secure the tractor to it. You need to buy your own tools: electric impact wrench, sockets, ratcheting wrenches, side cutters, and of course, an FAA-approved hard case to carry all that stuff on the airplane. The guys I know bought a Parrot Case for their tools and the largest suitcase they could find for their personal stuff, and a carry-on. You get to keep your air miles and rewards. After a few months you usually have enough air miles to take a nice vacation to some exotic place. This lady doesn't care for Peterbilts or Kenworths so she doesn't work for Active Transport who hauls Paccar trucks. Check out "activetransport (dot) com" for more information.

I work for TM the sector of moving trucks is independent contractors. You need to have buisness savy. You need to do your book keeping and run your own buisness. You have to pay for your training , tools , u deck in 0 degress . It will take you a few mo the to get going . You need to do your book keeping with software so you know your expenses for taxes etc know what your buisness is making. To make money at it its a very hard dirty physical manual labor job. To make money I do 3 sets in a week and I have to use alot of manual chain hoists , undeck in the wet dirt lot in the mud , snow .

Great great show. I feel alot of what she talked about I've led. From the relationship to being single. I think alot has to do with the age as well. If I would of had the encouragement to do this line of work I would never have looked back. My son works for a company he was in the warehouse for like 6 yrs and they went to hin and asked if he was interested in trucking. They sent him to school paid for everything and that was like 4 yrs ago. Hey ur doing great work keep up the good job
