- I love all things Lara Croft, Tomb Raider is one of if not the greatest gaming franchise ever to me. And I really like the survive trilogy, but it seems not everyone does, so let’s have a look at the first game in the trilogy, Tomb Raider 2013 and see why……

I had no problem with how much Lara was the opposite of a badass early in the game. She was not aware of what she was capable of because she'd had no reason to be. It made the transformation all the better. loved how she went from the trauma of taking a life to screaming at a tougher enemy, "Just die!" It was even addressed how she found killing to be surprisingly easy once she'd done it a few times. By the time she jumped into a river of blood to escape her enemies and didn't flinch or wipe herself, that scared person from the beginning of the game was gone.
I agree I think the devs were trying to show how she evolved into the badass tomb raider from the other games we have all come to know, it’s a pretty extreme change but she is in extreme circumstances. Thank you for watching my video 😀👍🏻

I love Lara, no matter what version of her there is. She has been in my life since TombRaider II and I am now 31. She is a staple in my gaming history. I love her no matter what version of her is portrayed.

I'm with you! I'm pretty much down for whatever version of Lara to play, each game has it's own fun aspect I can get out of it
I Loved the Survivor Trilogy. My only gripe is the god damn multiplayer trophies which have prevented me from getting the Platinums for TR 2013 and RotTR.
I do fall into the Category of preferring more puzzle solving and less combat. However the combat was not excessively difficult and the Stealth Combat in SotTR was a lot of Fun.
Looking forward to The Classic TR Remasters and the next new game in the franchise.

Having also grown up with the original games, my issue with the reboot is the shear amount of enemies. The first time she takes a life is a poignant moment, where she feels genuine distress. But then she continues to mow down hundreds of enemies throughout the game without a care in the world. I remember getting so tired of 'enter room, kill 8 people, move to next room, kill 10 people' and so on... I miss the focus on tomb raiding...
I completely see your point and agree that one minute she is crying over killing someone next she is like the terminator, but for me I enjoyed the combat and story. The emphasis on the tombs was definitely less as you say and I too would have liked more tombs, but the tombs in the game I think were done well. Thank you for watching my video 😀👍🏻
I'm playing it for the first time right now, and I think that was a way to build up Lara as a ruthless killer. She kills the creepy Russian guy, which is her first direct kill, and that indeed traumatizes her. Later on in some of the first fights, I remember her pleading with the guys to stop. The moment where she becomes ice freaking cold is when she kills the injured guy begging for a swift death: she isn't sad or disgusted, she just tells the guy to go to hell after killing him. They take her from innocent young archeologist to ice cold femme fatale we all know and love. Sure, she kills so many people, way more than a young woman with no experience could, but it's what you get from a Tomb Raider game.
Personally it’s my favorite. I didn’t like shadow of the tomb raider very much though
It’s my favourite of the survive trilogy, and I agree shadow wasn’t as good, I don’t know exactly what it is about shadow but it’s just didn’t seem as much fun compared. Thank you for watching my video 👍🏻😀

It just skipped too far ahead. She was literally the tomb raider and acted as if she had been doing it for years. The story itself was not very special because it didn’t make you care about Laura. The levels were good though I think some puzzles were a too difficult. It had some interesting moments but overall it was just not as good. I can say it looked the best though. Still holds up to newer games in that regard.

I think a lot of people do, and I agree it does need more puzzles, but as a cinematic adventure a bit like Uncharted I think it’s fun. Thank you for watching my video 😀👍🏻
Tomb raider underworld was released on the ps2 and ps3
It was, I recently got it on PS2 but I strongly recommend the PS3 version as the superior one, the PS2 version is definitely playable but the graphics are no where near as good as the PS3 version, and it’s more expensive on PS2
Shadow was short story and meh, TR2013 i have mods on it to fix some issues and theres a really good one that makes her face look like a younger version of the original tombraider games. Good game, but mod if you know how to make it a better enjoyable experience.

I must admit I haven't played any of the latest reboots as yet. I love the Legend/Anniversary/Underworld trilogy - they were fun, almost whimsical in nature - and Lara was fun-loving and badass all rolled into one. Like the old 007 she had always witty things to say when dispensing of enemies - but there was still a human, caring element to her. Judging from having watched some trailers and reviews - the "new" TR games just feel to gritty, too somber, too gory and too bloody - and the "new" Lara just seems far too dull. I think I will rather stay in my Legend/Anniversary/Underworld trilogy thank you very much...
The survive trilogy is definitely a departure from the previous games, I enjoy them but your take on the differences from the legend trilogy are pretty spot on, and I do prefer the legend trilogy myself. Thank you for watching my video and taking the time to comment, much appreciated 😀👍🏻
Super good games but not even decent tomb raider games. I would have loved the series if it started as it is and turned Lara into what we now her previously in the 3rd game. She didnt develop that much throught. She only got better at murdering people
That’s a good take on the survival trilogy, a lot of people aren’t keen on how they changed Lara, I wonder if they will return her to the more familiar version of Lara from the original games in the new one when it comes out, although I think we are going to be waiting a while to find out. I'm a fan of lara on PS1, PS2 but no after. She's weak, no more badass. Lost everywhere she go.. Lara is invincible because she's virtual
Yes, the personality, the sassy, the dual pistols, the freakn backpack and of course the boobies. I like the survival series but she just don't feel like Lara Croft. The should of just made new character instead.
I hope when the new game comes out eventually they do go back to more of a classic Lara, until then they have announced remasters of the first 3 games which I’m looking forward to😀 thank you for watching my video 👍🏻
