  • FINALLY installing one piece floor pan in 1968 Firebird convertible. Trying get this old bird back up to good driver quality. This is not a 100 point restoration this time but more of a budget build so that this car can hit the road relatively quick and reliable.

      Glad to help, one of my big goals is to build some confidence and educate people that this stuff can be done at home. CZcams is a valuable resource. We did not have it 20 years ago so a lot of trial and error in my beginning. With that said if I can save you time and get you there quickly then I feel I have done my part for this community and hobby I love. Especially old Firebirds. Gota save them birds!!
      Nice 1967 and 1969 bird too. A big thank you for doing your part. Save them birds!!!

      @@VinylVillageGarage You are absolutely right when I bought my 67 Firebird I was 22 years old and now I am 40 years old no CZcams back then I learn by hard hard work I drove up to New York 2 and a 1/2 hours for my house trying to save a 68 Firebird yesterday but the man was asking too much in my opinion for the car it in really rough shape but I did
      find original fenders for my 67 and and a original deck lid so I have an extra deck lid and 2 extra fenders This fall I'll be working on that we have too save our firebirds out there thank you for what you are doing

      I am 43 this year I love building cars if I could find a way to make a steady income doing it I would all day. I don’t want it to turn into a chore either so for now weekend warrior for me I plan to make a trip to new York oct 1st to pick up another bird project. Still working out the deal if all things line up I will have another one for the channel.

      @@firstgenerationgarage2803 1969 350 2 bbl convertible. There is a slim chance it’s almost all original and numbers matching if it is I might do a back to original restoration. Oddly enough if I do acquire this one all three of my 1969 birds where factory crystal turquoise. they are not that color now but what are the odds?? Just interesting I suppose

    • @VinylVillageGarage
      @VinylVillageGarage  Před rokem +2

      Depends what year Firebird 67,68,69? 68 AMD all the way. 67 OER but you have to remove fuel line brackets , 69 AMD is a little better but you have to transfer brake and fuel line brackets back onto it.
