Shark Navigator Zero M at Amazon: geni.us/jNBV
Here I am, coming home from my 8-5 mortgage job at 26 years old...to watch reviews on vacuum cleaners before I buy a new one. Am I adulting correctly?
absolutely.
@@VacuumWars I ended up ordering the Shark Navigator ZU561 off Amazon the next day and I LOVE IT!! Thank you so much for all of your detailed reviews!
Same. #killingit
Yea. When you get old you get excited about old people things like vacuums.
here i am thinking the same thing haha
Just bought the Zero M series very excited to see it in action myself! Thank you for this product review this was very helpful in making my decision between the two.
These reviews are amazing. Well structured, well written, and super informative. Thank you!
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching too!
Thank you so much for keeping it short and to the point! Your reviews are so helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Your reviews are perfect! You explain very well!
pro tip:
seam rippers make quick work of anything wrapped around the brush roll. my mom tough me that with her old Kirby.
You did your job! This helped me a Lot! .. Wishing you and yours the very best. Your work is appreciated!
Thanks so much!
Amazing review!! I saw both in Walmart and had no clue which to choose! Now I know🤗🤗thank you for the precise and thorough video
Glad it was helpful!
This is probably the first vacuum channel with over 100k subs congrats
We got the OG shark navigator lift away and it still works we bought it in 2014
This product puts my old Hoover Windtunnel to shame🌼 I disliked the hoover after about 3 uses because it's suction on floors was awful. I thought it was cleaning the carpets fine until I received and used the Shark Navigator. We have two cats and a non-shedding dog that bring in grass, leaves, and dirt after being outside. The Shark Navigator picks up the cat hair and all of the outdoor debris on both carpets and hard floors. I'm so happy I purchased this product.
Well, this helped me figure out one of my parents' Christmas presents.
Just bought one and suction seems pretty powerful. Getting used to how the canister swivels from the base of the vacuum. It's not as lightweight as I thought compared to traditional upright vacuums. Like that hair doesn't get tangled in the roller-biggest plus.
A valuable test I and others on reddit would really like to see: You should measure a cup of dust in grams, dump it on three different types of carpet, using a cleaning brush, brush the dust into the carpet real deep, and then vacuum it up and weigh the amount of dust it captured in the bin. The show the resulting difference in weight
Good review. Thanks!
Picked one of these up for the Black Friday price of $180 and we didn’t even need to leave the house!
It was to ditch the 10 year old Hoover Anniversary, which needed another new power switch, and sounded like it was dying every time it was used.
Nice. But oddly enough, with my long haired dog and sewing room, my vacuums don't have a huge problem with getting stuff wrapped around the brush roll. Funny story - I always thought putting cheerios on the floor wasn't a very realistic scenario. But the other day, I picked up a Costco sized box of Cheerios upside down. The little Dyson cordless completely choked on the cereal, so it was out with the AC vacuum and they were picked up without issue. That said, this is a corner case and I'd gladly use a broom and dustpan for when something like this happens. I still love that little cordless Dyson.
Yeah its weird with pet hair, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt get stuck, and the Dyson sticks are pretty good with it too. But I often find that with just a few uses on other peoples houses and you cant even see the brushroll on most vacs as they are covered with hair! It doesnt bother my wife because I am always the one who cleans it off ;-) Yeah although its rare to have the amount and size of debris we have in our tests on the floor, I find it is a way to grade which vacs can do what. Also when vacuuming hard floors at cleaning jobs, the amount of time you have to stop and pull out the wand can add up pretty quick. It can be big bugs or random food bits in the kitchen etc. Its always been an important metric with me, probably out of proportion to how much other people care about it but there it is.
Thank you for this thorough video.
No problem, thanks!
@@VacuumWars I just wanna know the difference between the navigator lift away zero m and the navigator lift away zero m speed
@@VacuumWars actually for the old navigator lift away u can attach the floor head to the hose with the wand attached and use it as a canister vacuum you just cant have the brush spin
I'm waiting to see your review on the Shark Apex Dual + Zero M. I just started seeing advertisements last week but can't find any videos of it in action yet.
Hi, I need new filters for this Vacuume Zu562, do any other model number replacement filters fit this one? I need a heppa and the other 2 as well.
Great vid! You should do the shark rotator powered lift away vs the shark rotator lift away pro
We just got our zero m today and love it so far
That's great!
Sounds like a great vacuum
i have that one but it never came with the turbo brush but it came with the others
My ZU561 is great but does it bother anyone else as much as it does me... That there is no little snap clip on the handle to hold the cord to keep it out of the way while vacuuming? I really miss that. It's frustrating to try and keep the cord out of my way.
When u say model number zu561 OR zu562 which is it you are showing here that’s the red model? It’s either one or the other. What’s the difference? Between 561 & 562 models?
I have never seen these before btw I love your videos
Yeah they are fairly new, probably only a month or so old.
Vacuum Wars yea I wish my nv505 had it
Thy actually did come out with a Duoclean on a Rotator frame, I saw it in Home Depot the other day.
Does the brush always turn on? Is it supposed to be a little loud? Never had one that has a motorized roll
I have the zero m 2months after purshase sensor hard wood floor mood malfuction brush continually rotates at slower rate. took apart couldnt find issue put back together worked again same problem 1yr later will be fixing soon
Trying to decide between this and the new Bissell 3059 upright. Are you planning/working on reviewing that Bissell soon?
What is the difference between the NV models and the UV models?
Very interesting. Lovely vid as always
Yeah its a neat feature. Loving the vlogs and glad to see Beko's back.
Vacuum Wars Awwww bless you, I do hope you enjoy the videos with Sam, we had soooooo much fun, you’d genuinely be welcome in England here, Vacuum WarLux 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
That would be so cool!!
Vacuum Wars Plenty of guest space here at Hoover House! 🤣, lots of nearby collectors we can visit too. You’d love it.
Should’ve seen this before purchasing because I thought this version would vacuum under furniture easily. It doesn’t as we see in the video and I don’t know what to do about it. Should I get an attachment for either the hose or the vacuum part itself. The lift-away was the selling point but now I see it’s limited on this version. Anybody know of a workaround beyond buying a new vac?
I really like this little machine and might just have to think about getting one. I really don't need it but its calling me. LOL. Great video.
Lol 😀
I currently own the older model shark in this video. All of the hoses are torn and I’ve only had it for about a year.
They should hire You for tv News Got voice and Excellent information. I watched dozens of sharks Videos you score an 10.
im thinking about getting my wife the ZU60 pet hair version $200 would you reccomend?
Can you get a 4 wheel caddy for this one? My mum bought a shark lift away about 7 years ago and it came with a caddy and about 6 other accessories, but I can't seem to find anything similar. I'm currently using it now till I get a new vacuum and I'd quite like to get this one.
I got mine for a great price. As someone with cat and dust allergies living in a carpeted apartment with a cat, this is such a blessing! I love it.
The old or new one?
@@nick4k539 Oh, the new one. The red one. It picks up GREAT!
Taryn Scott. That’s great! I still think the navigator is the best vacuum by shark beside side the Apex which is the one I use
@@nick4k539 I decided to just buckle down and get a Shark. Everyone in my family uses them and I'm impessed. Black & Decker is good too though.
Taryn Scott Oh yes black and decker is very good especially the cordless vacuum line up it’s pretty good for the money that you’ll pay for it
are replacement filters needed? on their amazon site, it comes up as an added part.
Ok, so I just bought the shark navigator zero m and I absolutely love it. We have mainly hardwood floors but some area rugs. It does a great job. Only difference is a bought the Walmart model so its blue.
Awesome! Glad to hear you liked it!
I guess I was lucky I bought mine at Walmart and mine is red
Mine is also blue but it doesn’t say Zero M on the vacuum. Although It has the same yellow brush on the bottom as the other Zero M’s. What is the difference ?
I just bought the ZU560 and it is definitely better than the Dyson Ball and Oreck vacuums!
How the heck do you turn it on?
I don't understand why all vacuums don't have the strip behind the brushroll. I can't stand vacuums that kick back debris. I have to turn off the brushroll on my vacuum even on carpet when there is a lot of cat litter.
Can the slower spinner for hard floors damage hardwood floors?
Are u gonna look at the roomba i7+ soon I think that's the best one
Well I just bought one, I had this one in mind and your video convinced me to go ahead and make the purchase. We will see what happens.
I just bought the speed model
@@TheVacuumWizard I'm loving mine. It does a phenomenal job. Do you like yours?
@@jjcuna it was okay
How do you open the red one??
This may be a silly question, but to improve the bare floor performance of the older Shark, could you glue a strip similar to what the Zero M has behind the brush roll? Or would this do very little?
It wouldn't help because it's set up differently. I wouldn't waste your time gluing one on. In terms of bare flooring, they aren't horrendous as long as you aren't putting it through a test like he did.
What about the shark navigator lift away zu560?
Did the deep cleaning of carpets improve with the zero m version? Between the two, which one is better?
That's what I'd like to know. At work we have a shark navigator zero m and a bissell powerforce helix. I'm honestly quite disappointed at the performance of the navigator zero m compared to the powerforce helix.
It takes extra passes to clean and does not deep clean as good as a bissell. If the nv352 can deep clean better than the zero m I'll consider getting that one...
I tested the cereal with my ZU561, and I guess it did a good job on carpet. Bare floors on my kitchen, horrible
When you were demonstrating the flour on the floor comparing the 2, the old navigators brush roll was off
Thats actually what you want vacuums to do for hard floors. In other words the old Navigator was in it "hard floor" mode. For whatever reason the newer Sharks, only slow down the brush roll super slow in "hard floor" mode instead of stopping it. The reason it didnt pick it up was the lack of a seal, thats why it cant do the crevice pickup test either.
if the only difference was the no clog brush it would still be absolutely worth it.. i will be upgrading to this vacuum
great review! just the info i was looking for. I was going to buy a Dyson Ball like we have at work but ill get one of these instead. On thing ive always disliked about the ball is that its a fragile machine, this shark appears sturdier.
Is the Shark ZU62 better than the ZU561?
I personally think the navigator series is amazing for its price, but I also use a apex and dyson v11
The Dyson V11 is EXTREMELY expensive, so I hope it's working out for you.
But I'll take the lift away. 🤣
Do you prefer the shark navigator or the apex zero m?
@@aimreadings It depends if you want to go all out I recommend the Apex but the navigator is really good as well it depends I would use the Apex more if you have a combination carpet and hard floor but if you have mainly carpet I would use the navigator
What is the difference between the ZU561 and the ZU503AMZ?
Thank you for uploading btw fitst
First! Thanks for watching!
@@VacuumWars vacume wars I asked you to review the i7+ and you said you want to wait for a nother robot vacume to have to empty bin system there is one this is a video of it czcams.com/video/9y_I2XADKKs/video.html please reply.
That video is from 2012, I am assuming the reviews were pretty bad since they no longer sell it. Im sure there are other new version out there.
@@VacuumWars yes they don't sell it but there are some more let me find them for you
@@VacuumWars here you go czcams.com/video/S_GWmyTxmDQ/video.html
Does long human hair cause a problem, is the anti-wrap a newer model for long hair?
Great Reveiw, I wonder if you can tell me if its loud. our animals don't like the high pitch, nor do I. comment asap,
It a little more quiet than average but I wouldnt call it quiet.
I loved this vac for about a year. Then the hose between the head and the vac split. It's a poor design and there is no way to get to it in order to replace it. In fact, I called about changing the belt and was told "you'll have to order the whole head". It's over 100 bucks.
The zero m is the real deal guys. My wife no longer clogs my vacuum :)
Urss still working good?
That is pretty funny... Err. Punny.
I can concur. The beater bar does not accumulate hair and string it's really great
what was the score for the Shark Navigator Lift Away ZERO M on the deep clean test?
100
You can get a felt sticker for the navigator and is works just as well... I know... i tried....
Yayyayaya
Anyone know the difference between the ZU561 ZU562? You would think he would mention this.
Ya but how does the new Navigator work?
I am not sure I would call the Apex the top of the line; you cannot remove the brush roller; you CAN remove both rollers on the Speed.
I really hope this sweeper is amazing cause it was a good chunk of 💰 just ordered the red one..makes me nervous spending so much on a sweeper..so I hope it won't fail me !
Randi Lynn You’ll be very satisfied with the results you can get out of a shark navigator it’s not the most expensive but it still is a little bit pricey but it’s a very very good vacuum
Are these really good. I need something that will last for a few years. I bought a Dirt Devil about a month ago, and this thing has stopped working while I was vacuuming, and it will not turn on. Before this vacuum I had a Bissell that didn't last an entire year. Ugh.
I bought a dirt devil to and it stopped working after 6 months. Now I have a shark, no complaints
I noticed with the duo clean it can be hard to pull the vacuum back towards you as it wants to pull away. Is this vacuum easier to use in that way vs say the speed with duo clean?
No this one doesnt do that, but yeah that is an issue with Duocleans, mostly on carpet, especially in Lift Away mode.
Vacuum Wars How does this vacuum compare to the SEBO you just reviewed in terms of deep cleaning?
The Sebo is better.
Vacuum Wars Any plans to review the SEBO X4?
I saw one today on Instagram and drooled a little. I want one but its pretty expensive.
I just received my new Shark Navigator that was recommended by numerous people & companies on the internet. I am furious, not one article mentioned that this giant is almost as tall as me. I’ve never had a problem with the dozen of vacuums I’ve had in my life. Am I missing something??? I truly didn’t think I’d for go through the burden of returning product. HELP!!!
I like his reviews I just wish he would tell people that he once worked for shark and was on one of their infomercials . It makes me question everything that he says :/
Can u plz make another video on vacuum cleaner filtration tests?
I will certainly consider it, thanks!
@@VacuumWars when do u think u can do that video?
Im not sure, I will probably do it if I get a another haul of thrift store vacs. I have filtrations tests of just about every new vac video I post in the reviews these days.
I Finally bought my wife one Plus I like them lol 98.99$ Wally world Shark Navigator Professional self cleaning BrushRoll lift Away.
Good for price
I wonder if Bissell's got anything close to this one for $200 or less.
I feel nostolgic seeing the nv352
We have been using them for a long time. I feel like they are the only vacuum that I could take apart and put back together with my eyes closed.
Yes, I love the navigator
I just bought my zero m vacuum but there is still hair in the brush. Is there something wrong? Should i just let it run?
Let it run a while it should take care of it.
i wish you would speak to durability and customer service. Repeatedly, you can read in reviews that Shark jerks around it's customers, shirking it's "supposed" warranty and breakage in various models rendering them very expensive for the short life.
I wonder if Shark will incorporate this m tech into the duo clean models
they did
How much does it weigh?
Found a great deal on the ZU503AMZ and wondering if I should grab it? Has the HEPA and zero M
You get it? Seen this on Amazon's Cyber Monday deal.
@@livingablessedlifeandimpro1488 yes
If you need so much pet hair for your tests...go brush some strays at the shelter!
Maybe try the vacuums meant for pets at the shelter itself, would make a cool video.
You just ask the groomers.
But it would be cool to do a shelter test!
Are they truly sealed? Would love an answer to this..

Why does this feel like a decrease in shark vacuums
Well, it is the budget version of their new line. I will be reviewing the Apex in a few days which is the top of the line.
I just wish it didnt look like it was from the 90s
Can you do a witch Dyson vacumme is better?
I have a few, but I personally think the Dyson V10 Absolute cordless vacuum is the best Dyson vacuum WAY better than the current lot of uprights from Dyson.
I have the shark vacuum cleaner for years always problems with the filters getting clogged I washed them still the same thing I will never ever by a shark again
did you wash it after each use? maybe it needed replacement each year ?
I know that this does not relate but did you get an emergency alert on your phone?
I did. An hour or so ago.
Woah me too, but it said that it was a test though...
leothefish 111 it is
@@blacklikemysoul587 i was in band class and when it happened, EVERYONES phone went off and we all got scared! 😂😂

shark has allot of interesting innovative designs but they need to make a better bin design they seem prone to clogging
if only they made the exact NV352 with ZERO M
Electrolux had the brushroll clean technology long ago
Good to know!
@@VacuumWars thx
Shark is true
This isnt the first vacuum that has solved the hair problem... The bissell pet hair erraser solved it with a brushroll that doesnt collect hair, its all supposed to go strait to the bin!
Cool I should do a review of all the ones that claim to fix it to see if there is a winner!
@@VacuumWars Yes you should, that would be a great video!
Very disappointed with the Zero-M. After a few months the self cleaning brush stopped working and human hair gets wrapped around the roller and the hose gets clocked immediately after clearing said clog.
Just bought the Shark Navigator Lift-Away with Zero-M. After 2 times vacuuming there is hair on the roller. I'm so disappointed.
Follow up!! I researched this problem and found out that the roller will clean itself with some time. This has proven to be true and it works very well! I'm now very pleased with my new vacuum!
Yay thanks for update !!
I like the vac, but the cord is short, no lights, weak motor . For the same price I decided to go with the Bissell Pet Hair Vac . Also I found that Shark doesn't honor their warranties and customer service sucks!
