As most I'm here because I'm looking for a vacuum and I must say, your channel is 100% perfection. Short, concise, efficient, informative, data driven, visual tests/representation. Maybe its just my (and seemingly yours as well) personality, but ALL REVIEW CHANNELS SHOULD BE LIKE THIS. Thank you for the information. (Pretty sure I'm going with this one. Maybe a few more reviews).

did you get it? i thought this was the one i just bought, but i have the la401. basically this with power fins and self cleaning roller from what i can tell.
i paid $200 for it at target but am thinking of returning it to get a shark vertex i found new on ebay for the same price. i really want that powered lift away on the vertex.
seems like i'd be getting a vacuum worth at least $100 more for the same price. only thing is it's on e-bay so there's always the risk they're lying about it being brand new, and i'm anal about not buying used things.

Great review! I personally own a Shark Navigator NV352, NV356 and a Shark Rotator NV552, basically a champagne colored NV501 Rotator with more attachments. As much as I like the performance and features of my NV352 and NV356, I would definitely take the LA322 over the older Navigators. Yes, I hear you Chris, you made some great points! But to me, one thing I HATE about the Navigator NV300 series is the bin design - it is VERY messy to empty those Navigators, even the NV356 with the bigger bin. Seems like those bins ALWAYS have debris caught right around the plastic shroud that protects the cone at the top of the bin, very annoying. To me, the improved bin design that looks like it holds more dirt is a nice touch. And the improved cleaner head design which does a better job on hard floors and the improved hose material is nice to see as well. I could live with the other flaws you pointed out. The Shark Zero M model you pointed out in the review is nice, but to me it's dealbreakers are the bin size and the Zero M brushroll....it's noisier and I think the traditional brushroll design deep cleans carpets better, I would rather have cleaner carpets and take a pair of scissors to my brushroll and cut off hair and debris as needed. And while I like my Shark Rotator, I personally find it a bit bigger and bulkier than this....enough not to buy again over a Navigator. If I was a normal consumer and not a vacuum collector, I would take the Shark Navigator LA322 over any other Shark at the moment. It's a refinement of all of Shark's other designs, it looks like it works well, slightly more convenient to use than it's predecessors, and most importantly it gives you EXACTLY what you need - and nothing more - at a price most consumers would find reasonable.

Though I really can't see the need for this, I appreciate you're reviews so much I'm always happy for a reason to have you do one! Shark recently really blew it with me. I bought the corded upright Vertex and it had a real suction issue on the first press of the power button. Had to send it back, I bought direct from Shark and their solution was send the whole thing back for a refund or get a replacement motor. I wanted to exchange for cordless version. They wouldn't do this. It seems Shark is slipping on quality with all these missing lights and many people have had lemons straight out of the box with all new Sharks lately. Too bad as I was a forever Shark gal until this. Now I'm looking for a cordless or corded stick vac. Any recommendations? Smiles and blessings...

@@ActuallySettle I collect vacuums, so I can speak from experience on this. I actually own a Navigator NV352, NV356, Shark Rotator NV552 - fancy champagne colored version of the NV501 with more tools - and a Shark Professional EP754 Canister Vacuum, which is a Miele-style bagged canister vacuum Shark used to sell in Canada up till 2014. I also own a Miele S658 Blue Moon, Miele S401i, Miele White Pearl S434i, Miele Solaris Electro Plus S514i, and Miele Callisto S5280. I have also previously owned a Miele S558 Red Velvet, Miele S538 Monte Verde, and a Sebo AirBelt C3.1 canister vacuum. All of my Miele's have all 3 of the Powerheads that Miele currently offers - the compact SEB217, and the full size SEB228 and SEB236 Powerheads. The Shark Professional EP754's Powerhead is a full size powerhead with height adjustment, similar to Miele's offerings. Yes, you would be correct that the Sebo and Miele products are superior in quality - BUT they also cost more than DOUBLE the price compared to a Shark Navigator. And for value for money, Shark is a really good deal and WILL last a long time - IF YOU TAKE CARE OF THEM! Just like any other vacuum. I also feel that my Shark Navigators and Rotator clean just as well as my Miele canisters....you would be surprised how powerful they are and how well they perform compared to a Miele canister. I also own a Sebo Felix with the Sebo ET-1 powerhead, Kombi floor head, and Parquet Floor Brush for hard floors....again, I can honestly say, sure it's built better but costs a LOT more, and the Sharks clean just as well! If you don't want to, or can't afford to spend money on a TOL vacuum, Shark is a good option for most consumers - IF YOU TAKE CARE OF IT.

Curiosity gets the best of me...I’m sure it isn’t the best but I grew up with Dirt Devil (the Upright model from the really early 90s) and it’s just got me extremely curious. Maybe I’ve missed it and you have already done it, if so let me know cause I can’t find it anywhere. Some people can only afford budget ($40-100) vacs and would probably appreciate the tests to see which direction they should go. Thanks for the awesome videos!!

It’s so sad vacuums under $100 are really terrible. Current Dirt Devils are just Hoovers with the Hepa filters and brushroll shut offs deleted. The older bagged Dirt Devils can really outperform and outlast the current DDs. The best $100 or less option is to wait for the Hoover T-Series/Tempo or Bissell BigGreen/Sanitaire Professional bagged vacuums to go on sale and then use Hepa bags.

@@jacobmiracle160 I totally agree with you Jacob. Dirt Devil USED to make some really good products that actually cleaned pretty well, both bagged and bagless models. They were really good, until TTI bought and has pretty much ruined the company now with their cheap, crappy products :(. One good model I can recommend, though is the Breeze/FeatherLight Bagless that from the 2010's that has the F1 filter in the bin and you have to hook up the attachment hose to the large powerhead hose. Those clean REALLY GOOD - so good in fact that Consumer Reports actually gave them a Recommended rating for cheaper uprights - and they seem to last forever. Best part is, most of the parts are still available for them too. If you prefer bagged over bagless, they also did make a bagged version too that took the Style U bags.

A vacuum with a something like the Shark liftaway feature is great for stairs. Or a nice cordless. See what I use here- czcams.com/video/7jJb6IZdfF0/video.html

As far as a vacuum it is good. But it has no blow feature,so if you have a tough clog you are screwed . And pet hair is a different thing.

How do you sit here and say this is a good vacuum? There's no such thing as a good bagless vacuum... The agitation, filtration, versatility, power just doesn't exist... i couldn't tell you how many people who actually bought one of these come into my store with buyers remorse and walk out with a real vacuum, and give you a clue real vacuums dont exist for much under $300 like the average consumer thinks... Rule of thumb if you can buy a vacuum in the same place as your groceries it's not a good machine...
